Hi Mike, thank for the overview of Sliema, is that Valletta just across the water? Would you recommend Sliema as a good base?
Morning BIAF, yes that’s Valletta across the water. We based ourselves here just across the road from the ferry to Valletta (which is regular and inexpensive) so we’d recommend it as an ideal base for exploring Malta. We’ll be bringing you more narrated guides to Malta which I hope you might find useful. All the best to you.

My wife and I have been to Malta five times in the last seven years, I'm 65 now and seriously considering retiring out there. Wish I'd found it years ago.
