As a daughter of a Maltese father growing up in Australia (Dad emigrated to Australia at 18) now at 43 I love my maltese traits like eating bread tomato puree tuna olives. I adore pastizzi it's our little hidden food gem. If I say remember drinking Milk in the 80s/90s you know what I'm talking about it was like water 🤣. I grew up eating Fenek thinking everyone had at least tried it (mistake 1). Malta is my little slice of home as an Aussie living in London and when it comes to Eurovision...

My Mother was Maltese, and I’ve been many times, think I know it better than she did. I’m living in New Zealand now and not been back to the UK yet, but seeing this video made me feel homesick for Malta! I love it’s history and everything about the place and now I know how much I miss it.

Been to Valletta twice many years ago.Must have walked round with my eyes shut.Remember the harbour and going into a church.That’s all...Wish I had seen the beautiful fountain at the end of the film.I do remember the people were very friendly...Now I must watch the one on Mdina as that is where we stayed.Thanks a lot.

surely one of the best video's of modern Valletta. other places of interests in Valletta not in this video: Upper and Lower Barrakka gardens, Hasting gardens overlooking Tritonfountain square, Barbara Bastion overlooking the grand harbour, Independence square where the anglican church and auberge d'Aragon are situated and around the bastions of Valletta including the city gate ditches and the modern lift going straight up to Upper Barrakka from Lascaris Wharf and Victoria Gate on your way to the Grand Harbour.

Got to Visit Malta 2x (Navy) This was my 1st stop on my first, six month deployment!! !! The day time was beautiful and unsuspecting! not sure how it is these days..but when that sun went down, all the string lights came on and clubs seem to appear out of nowhere. I remember being in the Hard Rock Cafe early evening, when we back came outside of Hard Rock it looked like Mardi Gras in louisiana. This was on a regular weekday night!! I believe most of the ladies I met were a mixture of Sicilian and French, Absolutely stunning!! I will be returning soon to actually tour the place, instead of party, I'm an adult now! 😇 hahaha. Great video brings back wonderful memories! Veteran USN 🏆😇 God Bless! 😇 🏆

I loved Valletta - you can easily walk around this and see the sites without hassle. I loved the views from Upper Barakah Gardens. Republic Street is where the main tourist places are and many open air restaurants too

I'm guessing that was filmed early morning on a Sunday. So few tourists around and that view from the cafe over the harbour...wow!
Good question Des, I can't honestly remember, but it was out of season in Feb' so didn't get much busier than this.

I loved Valletta - you can easily walk around this and see the sites without hassle. I loved the views from Upper Barakah Gardens. Republic Street is where the main tourist places are and many open air restaurants too

Yes, Sir. The changes are all positive. Now, Valetta seems cleaner and more upmarket than in 1969 although it was pretty good even then. All the best. :)
