Electrical System will disrupt supplies and use of an entire base(disconnecting it from nearby bases) when turned off. So, prob sabotage of power lines or substations will be a thing, coming together with destructable buildings. energy poles, etc.
For me, that's the most expected thing on reforger, so far...

Yea I think mid to late 24 is way too early, late 25 to sometime in 26 i think we'll see early access, i know they were recruiting for arma 4 as early as march 2023 but arma 4 is going to be a much bigger game than reforger, at least in the long run, so will take more time to develop and BI consider reforger to be its own standalone thing not a 'tech demo' like many people still think of it and they've said they are going to continue to support a develop reforger for a while. Yea i dont think a4 will be seen anytime soon, maybe we'll get some news about it this year but no game
Yaaaa unfortunately you might be right, but I don't want to believe it!!! Haha and it all depends if they started developing the game before that March date in 2023. But I hope we get news sometime this year and a solid release date maybe

@MILKY... I know right! A 2024 release would be a dream honestly, especially with the infusion engine I can't wait to see what they do for a4

Things like flares, mortars, bayonets, armed heli's are nice to haves but falrly minor in the grand scheme of things..id rather have them focus on AI and a Eden editor for reforger.
Well they said that once arma reforgers roadmap has had all of its features added then they will work towards an arma 4 launch, so i think 2024 is realistic nut might be to optimistic
Ya it's a bit optimistic unfortunately, but it could happen. The whole point of reforger is to test out the new engine and how modding works on Xbox. That being said I couldn't imagine they haven't started it. I would assume the majority of the team are working on arma 4 while the rest are finishing reforger up. Because the rest of the road map isn't too much, just some new updates and fixes to the AI system
But who knows, my hope is by end of 2024 but that's up in the air at this point with no announcement yet
Arma 4 relase 2024..i think thats a bit ambitious seeing where Reforger is at.
Reforger is still lacking alot when compared to Arma 3...let me explain the relevance.
Reforger is the test bed for Arma 4, it gives BI player feedback on what works and what does not, im not talking about player prefrences but from a technical point of view.
My guess is that Arma 4 will be a better version of the game engine that runs Reforger, more feature and more content on launch (in what ever era A4 will be based in, hoping for a continuation of 2035 timeline).
The problem is that reforger still lack very critical features with the AI being the biggest one...atm the AI can only move around on foot. Reforger will have to get to the state where AI can somewaht resemble Arma 3 AI..swim, walk, run, fly, drive, operate all weapons, statics, plant mines and various other general improvements. It hink this is currently there biggest hurdle as its not been implemented with the exception of walking runnning and shooting...even these are kinda barebones atm.
There are other issues but i think thats the biggest atm, once the AI for Reforger reaches the level of early Arma 3 AI only then ill get excited for Arma4. I senserly hope i am worng for all the right reasons but tbh id rather wait 2 more years for a good Arma 4 than get a slightly better Reforger.

Ya I get what your saying, there adding an AI upgrade with the next update, and I honestly think they will release arma 4 before reforger is 100% seeing how reforger is literally a testing ground. So they never planned on having reforger to be a perfect 100%game. But hey it's more of a pipe dream and it's my hopes but I might be 2024 or 2025 kinda hard to tell after talking to everyone

As a newcomer this game has a loooooot going for it. My big want is destructible environments.
Welcome to the arma community! And I hope your enjoying the game so far. Your right, this game does have a lot going for it and had much more to come! I can't wait for destructible environments, I assume it won't be everything but it will be more than it is now.
Well i dont think arma 4 is too soon because on their website they said that Arma 4 is still in the early stages of development...
This is true, but with most games releasing in early access stages now a days I would not be surprised if they end up doing this with arma 4

The game master safe slots only work for single player game master if you try to load one of your saves into an online server does not work
You have to rent a server I believe to use it online

That you pay for? If so then I'm not 100% sure because I never had one personally
I know nothing about how severs work but server fps needs to be better. Also more gane modes. Koth isn't active and there was a dayz sever called deadly zone that was so fun is gone.
Ya I noticed a lot of servers dropped off, there was a Kunar map and it was sick but I don't think it's up still
Also I don't want the game dumped down but there's to much freindy fire. Somehow that needs help
I’ve got a bit a predicament with the mods, I used to have access to over 100 pages of mods but ever since the newest update I’ve got less than 40 pages of mods now, is that because the old mods aren’t compatible with the newest update or something? As I’ve been trying to make zombie themed modes but all those zombie mods have disappeared, any help would be massively appreciated:)
Not 100% sure but they might have pulled some mods to work on them or because they caused the game to break

They did this so mod authors would be forced to update there mods so the ones that where inactive essentially got deleted

They will add everything that is missing and needed, but when will it be added?
Not 100% sure they don't have exact dates on the website. But I believe this spring will be next update

Yes I believe so but there is no official statement on it. But Arma 4 I believe will be a stand alone game

Sooo with arma reforger it seems you cant do things on console that can be done playing on pc , which isnt fair all these videos with modern combat operations console players should beable to create those also and play through game master editor why they wont add a mission and trigger selection etc...in the editor is beyond me yes there are mods but the modern mods most have been removed ones that were excellent bohemia is always going to treat controller players like crap when it comes to arma period so after seeing reforger and basically disregarding controller players for arma gold 2 and 3 etc.. fck it arma 4 can kiss my arse and so can bohemia 😂😅😊

You forgot to mention that none of those updates mention giving us functioning servers that don't run like absolute trash with all kinds of pocket loss and other unacceptable BS at this point now that the game's fully released which basically means ArmaForge probably going to be unbelievable trash from how badly they treat this game

Normally it is completely random when you spawn in, but there are masks/ski masks that give you the option to change to different color!
I don't see 2024. MAYBE 2026.
I hope it's end of 2024 because final strike will be final update for reforger and BI will have to start pushing on arma 4. I guess it depends on if they have a separate team working on arma 4 the entire time reforger updates have been coming out. Unfortunately no official statement so technically it could be as far as 2026 but I don't see it being that far out
@riotmaker650 Trust me, I'm hoping you're right. My oldest son was 4 when ofp cwc came out. He was old enough to play arma 3 when it came out. Now, all 3 of my sons are in there 20's. I'm getting old. I want to play at least to arma 5. Lol
@riotmaker650 I own reforger, but I'm so used to scripting and modding arma 3 and below. I haven't been able to get into it. Not to mention, I'm not a huge mp player. I got into it when my sons were still living at home, but they've moved out. If I'm lucky, my granddaughter or grandson will be old enough for arma 5. Lol

Fair enough, ya reforger is a complete different beast than arma 3, I haven't gotten to play arma 3 but just from watching its completely different, especially the conflict mode on modded servers. I have played some combat ops and it was more of a serious operation type game play. Some of my future videos I want to showcase the combat ops
