Gixx-ster! I've heard about the crazy weather you've been having recently. My mom's brother lives in Blanchard, OK. They talk on the phone at least once a week, so she is always receiving weather updates from him. The weather here in California has been alternating between mild/kinda warm (low/mid-60's comfortable) and then REALLY COLD (recent lowest temp we've had was 28°F!) Brr! I'm definitely wishing for Summertime already. Lol! I hope your weather improves really soon so that you can post more riding videos. Those are the ones I look forward to most. Take care and stay warm my friend!
👍 Thank you! Every weekend I've planned to go the weathers went down hill on us, we've had sunny and 75 then snow on the ground! I can't wait to get back out do some riding videos, those are my favorite ones to create.
@@GixxerFoo Haha! While my family was visiting Oklahoma last month, my mom mentioned the same thing about the temperature being in the 70's and then the sudden change to snow the next day! My daughter enjoyed that... my mom and dad, not so much. Lol!
I installed dk customs breather bolts with a filter at the end of the hose. It is always better for the intake / engine that hot oil mist is a must keeps it clean and seems to run better.
Hey,Gixxer it’s 60 in California.. LOL I do miss the vlogs though and being coop up in the garage may suck but at least you can do some bike updates which is interesting!! Be safe and see you soon outside!! Natalie
I am jealous! It was 70 here last Sunday then it snowed on Wednesday lol, gotta love it! Well you're in luck, I have some video I didn't do anything with over the summer that I am putting together right now 😀.
I appreciate your teachings, ive learned alot from you and looking forward to more. Ive got a 2011 HD Ultra Limited Classic with 15k on it. Im a bew rider but would like to find a easy way to adjust the front forks. Any tips? Thanks again
How high is your idle? Is this when you first start it cold? The fuel injected bikes idle at 1,000 rpm to maintain proper oil pressure, the idle will go high when you first start them and then drop down to 1000 rpm when hot. Cleaning your throttle body would really benefit you bike, you get a bunch of oil and build up it will cause the bike to idle rough. Not mention a clean throttle body will make your bike run smoother over all.
You would have to order a replacement from the dealership, the part number for that little cover on the Extreme Billet Air Cleaner is 11170. Any dealer should be able to get you one ordered, you may even be able to order it online from Surdyke Harley-Davidson. They do online parts orders, pretty cheap too!
Yamaha has a much better crank ventilation system than the Harleys. Harleys have that dry sump system and they cycle it back to the oil tank, it creates some high crankcase pressures.
You would be running clean fresh oil through previously filtered contaminants. In a extreme the filter would be plugged and forcing the bypass open, then oil is flowing unfiltered.
Thank you for supporting the channel! Be sure to give the video a like and let me know what style of air cleaner you prefer!

@@minimonkeyhead 😆😂 that's just typical weather here, spring time is a lot of fun. Super cell thunder storms and tornadoes come out of no where.

I know this is an old video. How much farther does it stick out from stock one
It's not bad at all compared to the ham can that comes stock, my leg really really didn't rest on it.
Would cleaning the throddle body help out with a INSANE high idle?
When the bike gets hot it starts to idle super high!

Do you happen to know where to get a any replacement for the screamin eagle cover logo ? I happened to stepped on mine.

@@GixxerFoo tried searching 11170 in Surdyke and it's only giving me O rings.
Can you send me a link if the actual cover being sold.
Thank you.
My bad, try this part number 14100367, it looks like New Castle HD will let you purchase online.
@@GixxerFoo Thanks alot!!
No problem! I hope you can get you one on the way!
Got a similar but better looking air filter setup on my yamaha and have never had a single drop of oil or water anywhere on it :)

What happens if you dont oil the filter?
