In this challenge I will be taking an old dresser and renewing it with Dixie Belle’s Paint Rustic Red and Minwax’s poly. I hope you enjoyed this Christmasy transformation 🎅🏻

I actually painted a custom commission piece in Red custom mix with Dixie Belle paint (50/50 honky tonk and rustic reds made a True red) with a espresso stained top haha so yes I'm sure you will have that one buyer who will love your color choices ... love the turn out ...came out so pretty...great job honey!

You did a great job! Reminds me of red and black asian laquered pieces. The only thing I would suggest is putting just a touch of black paint on the keyhole. Looking forward to seeing what you sell it for. I checked google, and apparently red and black furniture is a whole thing.

I found some family polaroids once, then two drawers down some indecent polaroids of the daughter and father from the family photo's, taped in a envelope to the bottom of the lower drawer...I turned them into the Police, the father was arrested, charged and convicted.. a Victorian post mortem photo of a set of twins one had passed and the other alive sitting together in a chair, 2 engagement rings, a wedding ring, and a gorgeous art deco diamond necklace in a tiny silk purse.. I restore antiques so I come across much older things.

What a stunning piece, I love the colour choice. It would be wonderful in a boys bedroom or a dining room. I have red accent pieces in my kitchen and would be happy to have this as a buffet. Larissa I almost squealed with delight when you taped where the drawers go, I hate how most flippers don’t worry about over paint/spray here. It makes a beautiful piece of furniture look cheap and if I purchased something and saw mess around the drawers because the painter/artist couldn’t be bothered spending half an hour taping I would wonder what else the they were unconcerned about. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Aloha Larissa, great job on your first collaboration. That red is beautiful and BOLD. I have some accents of red around my house but probably wouldn't have a red dresser as I tend to stick to lighter and more neutral colors for my furniture. Saying all that we have painted a lot of dark and bold colored furniture and have always found buyers. BTW- your son is super cute! - Sherry
