Just picked up a ‘96 ultra gold medallion Kobe #266 PSA 9 in a trade. Been debating whether I should keep it or not.

      Do you collect Kobe?

@ I do… just trying to consolidate as well and you’ve given something to think about. Is it rare enough to hold onto as a pop 300ish with only 10ish 10s?

Good thoughts. Thank you for sharing. We all have had some cards like the high pop pierce’s. Forget the cost basis. You own it nd ask yourself what is the future potential. Just sell them and consolidate into where your advantage is with the rarity of some of the stuff you believe in more. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work

I agree. It's a good strategy to consolidate down to cards you believe in.

listen to stacking slabs podcast? im sure others say it too but Brett was one of the first guys I heard talk about "rare and scarce" cards. I collet NBA 75 RC autos and like you mentioned I thought about going after just HOF but thats too easy and too many guys. This helps make it a little tougher. I intentionally consolidated 8 cards few months ago into a 03 SP Authentic Lebron Auto /500. 0 regrets
