You really should show a practical way to achieve good posture for this type of relaxation for anyone who doesn't have this bed because most people don't have this bed! 🙂
@@s.k.1091 You are absolutely right. I started following B&B before they focused on selling, selling, selling merchandise. They used to give us useful information, now not so much. Very disappointing.
@@daozhang As Bob mentions, it's also possible to achieve something similar with pillows or a bed wedge for less money. I spent a little time in the hospital earlier this year, and after I was released back into the wild I decided to splurge on a queen size adjustable bed and foam mattress (regular foam and memory foam). As I recall, together they cost me around $500 on line. That isn't super cheap if you're on a tight budget, but as beds and mattresses go, it's fairly reasonable. I have found the result very comfortable and don't think I could have done any better spending more money.
You can get a bed wedge for $40 and up in various sizes. With some mattresses you can put the wedge under the mattress and get something not too different from an adjustable bed. If it's too high you may find yourself slipping down the bed, in which case you may need to elevate the foot of the bed as well.
@@BobandBrad Thought THAT was the topic of this video. Instead, basically an advert for a mechanical bed and what not to do. Ok, we now know what NOT to do, what is the RIGHT way to do it?
I hope you read these comments Bob and Brad...I've listened to you for one year ( recovering from a colles fracture).honestly I am SO grateful for advice from two caring and knowledgeable professionals. I love your partnership and please know you really do make a difference in people's lives.🙏🙏🙏🙏
That bed would also be good for those who have GERD. I don’t watch TV in bed, but I read and use the wedge sometimes, but it rounds my lower back. I can exercise and feel good, yet in a short time on the couch or bed my neck and upper back will hurt and cause great discomfort. It’s like you have to be so precise the way you position pillows, hard to get it right each time. Definitely realize forward with the neck causes pain and don’t always avoid it. 😕 Glad Bob shared his story as this is relatable and problematic for many. Thank you guys for your videos.
Guys , actually got one few days ago and was easy to assemble. Wife had Rotator cuff surgery and it’s been good for her while she recovers. Side note , brag about you guys here in Cincinnati ( from St. Paul) have had a few follow you.
how about moving the location of the video screen? In my concern for the posture I added a shifted monitor mount with flexible location towards the ceiling like even facing nearly toward the floor. This actually allows better location for the room lighting relative to the screen location. The biggest challenge I find is that in some displays I wish the monitor closer to get best detail resolution for my 65 year old 20/20 vision... After retirement my vision in distance is better and close up is worse - I speculate this is because I speed less time reading or writing.
Not here but at our 1st house we had a TV 📺 in the bedroom, we actually rarely used it, even back then when TV was good! My father in law, from Poland, was amazed, the bedroom was for sleeping and other things, not TV!
Love that you talked about this topic! I got sciatica after reading comics for 3 hours in my bed. All I want was just a relaxing night but I got pain instead, lol.
Great way to stretch when in bed 🛌, try maneuvering in ways 'not' to wake/disturb the cat/keep it on its side 🐱 'cause it'll want out (minus Siberia here) or fresh cream/food/in the bathroom's 🚻 closed door 🚪! See cat has ok whiskers, what the heck did you think? 'Cause 🎶 everyday is Saturday night but I can't wait for Sunday morning 🌄🎶 Sunday morning 🌄🎶!

I totally agree. Very much appreciate the practical advice!! But, sadly, more and more it seems the advice revolves around purchasing products.
This kind of bed is normally not suitable for living room.
So for those who do not want to invest $$$$, work with lots of pillows or read in a chair?
Bro are you hating on bob and brad lol 😂 elisheva may god bless you 😴

Buying a $2000 bed isn't the good posture technique I was looking for with this video..
It's not $2000, more like $300.
@@DGaryGrady oh that makes it so much better then /s

Besides buying this bed, what are some practical ways to do this correctly?

The answer is “buy some $$$$ bed” ??!
