haiiii X3 dis my new map, WHIP IT!!! it followz Ashfur n Scourge having fun in a candy land OwO... notice there are no cookies... probz because dey eated dem LAWL!! As a kid raised on da internet from age 3 (do not let your children online unsupervised please DX bad for my development) in da height of the 00's, it wuz an honor to rehost a project that was pretty much a tribute to teh fine MS paint artists of my childhood.
I rehosted dis project frum bunnycat.. uhhh.. i forgot how long ago... and it has been thru hell n back!!! It wuz meant to go up during Pride Month last year but that didnt happen DX BUT i got to participate in da MAPathon, so thats AWESOME!!!!!!!1!

This is so cute and definitely has that air of nostalgia that comes with the Ashfur x Scourge ship. Love the candy cloud sugar rush pink vibe thats going on. I love how it goes from sad Ferncloud mourning her brother in the intro to energetic sugar induced fever dream dancing cats. Old ships like these are so fun and such strange pairings. Its the best. The addition of Tiny and Thistleclaw was well done. All the love to the animators and elriq for hosting this MAP. Thanks for this much needed throw back
This has such a specific nostalgic factor to it, from the song to the style. Everyone captured the mood amazingly!!

back in the early days of warrior cats fandom animation was a newer thing, so if someone had a good or fun or edgy flavoured-entertaining idea it was likely to gain traction regardless of if it looked professional or not. less maps and more memes amvs and tributes with borrowed and/or stolen art work

(it just occured to me when editing that this ship name also has the benefit of being created due to two youtubers with puppy themed usernames, which ads a cute puppy love touch to an already complicated... vibe?)

This MAP gave me a fangame idea:
Scourge and Ashfur in candyland
A 3D collectathon platformer with Scourge and Ashfur trying to find their way out of candyland. The game then later becomes glitchy and horror-like as they both discover the consequences of their actions in the real world.
Then they find out that they're stuck in this dream because of Spottedleaf.
They then undo their actions by turning back time, but end up becoming lovers despite everything.
It's dumb, but I had fun writing it.

This brang back so much nostalgia, when I first got into warrior cats I shipped these 2 so much💕. They almost cutesy style made this map very enjoyable to watch and its a nice break from all the normal things you'll find in Warrior cats. 🙂

I don’t know how else to put it in a way anybody would understand. But this ship called radioapple also hypnotized me just like Ashfur x scourge except I actually like it because it didn’t hypnotize me as much as Ashfur x scourge. I can think of it comfortably without searching up the images to like it
But this map… *this map* made me think differently.

tbh if the age gap was smaller (like 24 moons or smaller) then i would actually like this ship more then i do but scourge is like anywhere between 3 and 6 moons younger then tigerclaw/star

This is exactly why I included the scene with Ferncloud at the beginning! This MAP takes place after Ashfur died. Ashfur was about 5 and a half when he was killed, and Scourge was about 6. I understand the concerns about age gaps, but this map taking place after both of them died makes it less like the gap between younger people, like 12 and 18, which is unambiguously BAD and I will never say it's good, but more like the gap between older people, like 54 and 60. While both have a 6-year gap, the older people have a much smaller, almost nonexistent, maturity/experience gap ^^

ACK I've found a similar problem! Im starting to think that Bunnycat nightcored the song themselves... the original song is "Whip It" by Nicki Minaj, and there are lots of Nightcore versions but none like this. if it becomes enough of a thing maybe I'll ask bunnycat if i can reupload just the song?

I love this ship but it’s kind of pedophilia because ash fur is younger then fire star and fire star is much younger than scourge, which makes a huge age gap, no hate!
A few points
A) Firestar and Scourge aren't super far apart in age, they have the same dad,
B) Scourge was a baby when Tigerclaw was an apprentice. Scourge was an adult when Ashfur was an older apprentice, and age gaps in warrior cats arent that big of a deal WHEN BOTH CATS ARE FULL GROWN, WELL-ADJUSTED ADULTS.
C) This MAP is set after Ashfur dies! They are both mature adults.
