Today I drive 808 miles to reunite my cats Teemo and Arya with their Mom!

Their mom Olivia just has the greatest genes, seeing how her kids always turn out to be such beautiful furballs. I’m sure the siblings were so thrilled to be reacquainted with their mom!

@@TheCatButler I can also attest to the difficulties of doing a road trip with cats. I used to live in WA State years ago, and moved to Los Angeles with the wife and our 2 cats. It was a 24 hour trip and had to stop for the night at a motel that accepted cats/dogs. One of my cats probably spent over a minute peeing/relieving himself in the litter box we brought with us for the trip. They were exhausted as well. Fortunately, they were not as noisy as much as probably your babies haha
@@flokimuyukijones670 haha oh yes it was hard to find a hotel that accepted cats! Most would not so I had to do it in one shot. Did they hold it the whole trip? The peeing? Always wondered what is their limit. I chose to have a litter box in their carrier. And surprisingly only one went the whole 15 hour trip.
@@TheCatButler well, my male cat held his pee throughout the first part of our trip duration, which was about 13 hours before we stopped at the motel for the night. The other one, a female, used the litter box we had inside the car. Luckily, no pooping urges!

This was my absolute favorite video yet!! I loved seeing Teemo and Arya interact with their family. Olivia and Harvey's cat dad is awesome!! It's amazing how they can walk off the leash like that. I loved seeing their little nieces and nephews too 🥺🥺

All 5 are incredibly beautiful. My girl Bella is like mom and brother. She can go anywhere and will allow anyone to hold her. She doesn't try to escape and when I open my door she goes to my car and waits on me to let her in. Ragdolls are amazing

I’ll admit to thinking this was a really bad idea when you mentioned it in a past video - everything from the long journey, stress to your two from the travelling and being in an unfamiliar place, also the stress from then meeting “new” cats - especially because my understanding is that cats don’t miss or even remember their family members from kittenhood (assuming they weren’t taken from their litter and mother too young). I’m so glad to have been wrong - this video and these interactions were so lovely! 😻
(I’ve got a big fluffy Harvey too! Though mine’s a ginger Maine Coon and not a cream Ragdoll 😽 Though I do have a cream Ragdoll neighbour named Ollie!)

I took my ragdoll to meet his mother again (we were hoping they would recognise eachother so he had a place to stay when we're away from home), it didn't go well. He recognized her, but she didn't recognize him and was very aggressive. Very sad. :(

Awww thanks! Yeah things are very unpredictable with cats. Teemo and Arya have met many cats and none have gone as smoothly as this one.
@@TheCatButler ya my dad had this cute also sorta think white ragdoll pointy eara fuzzy lookin cat and soon as her 2 babies ((1 sorta grey dainty sweet girl and black part main coon bigisher paws n body looking)) were grown she was soo mean to them ha. Wanted NOTHING to do with them all lived decades outside and in barn cathouses ha midwest.
Was so funny the momma was such attitude and luvvv hunting would jump thru the bird feeder and get birds they had to adjust where she couldn't ha.
And her babies so sweet gentle she had attitude lol.

SO my dad when divorced moved back to country to his brother's while building his house right Down the road and mind you he moved back to the Dirt roads type of deep midwest from like 2 hours away.
And the cat black boy disappeared beginning of September..
On Christmas morning he showed back up! Like a miracle or something! Figured he could have tried way back to original home or who knows!
But he being part main coon was like 16 lbs and came back 7.
What a journey he must have went on! That was years ago, gentle boy has to be about 23 by now def oldest possible and hanging on super skinny now tho.
My Arya had slipped outside for just a few minutes earlier and I caught her hissing with her back bowed at her (still feral but now spayed) mom.
It's crazy because I also have family members with the name Harvey and Olivia as well. My Arya is just a mix of breeds, but she has the softest fur that I've ever felt.

We bought our ragdoll Prince 8 years ago from the owner who had a terrific house fire, Prince's entire family, including others kittens for sale, were there but thankfully no one was injured in any way. My mom really wanted to get a sibling for Prince but we could not afford it.
8 years later we can't find any contact to that owner, I wish Prince could meet his mother, I'm sure he would still recognize her after all these years. This video made my heart warm imagining how would my baby boy react if he met his mother!

Jenny thank you for the kind words! Yeah I agree they definitely had some recollection. Teemo and Arya wouldn't stop trying getting to know the mom. Even tho the mom wasn't initially warm towards them.

Cats are known to be able to recognise close relatives, it's an evolutionary advantage. My Russian has always been really hard to intergrate with other cats, taking about 1 - 2 months with each cat, but when he met his father he nose booped straight away. I have an 8 month old flame point male ragdoll, he is still very baby looking, but when he's older he may look a bit like Harvey! Helios is still very lanky.

@@TheCatButler Thankyou, we also have a 13 month old Ragdoll mix named Artemis. We originally got two together, Artemis and Hermes, but Hermes had a stroke when he was 4 months old. We adopted Helios when he was 6 months old. Artemis and Helios love each other and they love Pangur(my Russian) and Pangur tolerates Artemis and Helios! I still miss Hermes, he was a little ray of sunshine.
I just randomly came across your channel. I love this video. What a great story. All the cats are beautiful. My cat passed away 3 years ago. She was 21 years old! The ravages of old age caught up with her. She was the oldest cat in the vet's practice. I still miss her.

This was my favourite video yet. How special Arya and Teemo got to meet not only their sibling Harvey but also mum Lady Olivia! I think we will ask our breeders for contact details of who will be getting kittens from the same litter as us next year.

We have ragdolls and love them as you do. All four came from the same breeder and have been extremely healthy. Our oldest is a big guy and is half brother to the other three. The next two are litter mates and the male bullies the little female. The youngest is a full brother to the twins and is the smallest and the dominant cat. He protects his sister from her twin and they are very close. The funniest thing is the the half brother is named after my grandfather and the little female is named after my grandmother. They are inseparable.

Thank you again for gifting me your keepsake video footage of my beloved King Kieran who has since crossed 🌈Rainbow Bridge 10-14-22. I’m grateful he and Olivia got to meet and snuggle too. All of many cherished moments we had together for 17-1/2 years.

Have a Ragdoll that I adopted from the local shelter. He was still a baby. His owner had passed away so he ended up at the shelter. He’s the most gentle, sweetest cat I’ve ever been with. He will go on walks with me, staying right by my side.

What a wonderful trip! I love road tripping with Stormy she loves car rides and never meows, but it does take some time for her to get used to hotel rooms. I just love Teemo & Aria they are the sweetest and I hope they enjoyed meeting their family again. For sure the next time SF visit is a must! 💜

I adopted my blue bi-color female ragdoll Mitzi two months ago on November 1st, I wanted her to have a friend and luckily the breeder had not adopted out her sister from the same litter yet, so I adopted her blue bi-color sister Maisie (both are now 5 months old and they look like twins!). I’m currently working on introducing them, sadly the first few introductions did not go well, Mitzi was a hissy growly little cat while her sister just kind of sat there. I’m hoping they can get over their differences and have the same sibling relationship as Teemo and Arya. 😔
congrats on your new ragdoll Mitzi and Maisie! Teemo and Arya's cousins also had a similar reintroduction like your cats. I took a while and they were hissy at first, but now they have a loving sibling relationship. Time should help :D

I too have a male/female litter mate pair. They were feral as they were found on the roadside near Alabama fending for themselves at the age of about 7-9 weeks old by a couple of traveling hippys, who eventually brought them to the Animal Hospital I work at in Upstate NY. No idea when they lost their mom (or if they were originally just dumped on the road by some heartless hillbilly). I wish I knew where their mother or even father are, or if they are even alive as I'd love to see how they all would react, even though most likely they wouldn't even know who each other were outside just being another cat. I'd also like to see their parents coats, as they both have very unique tabby patterns and Im curious which parent (if even either) led to it!

Well, we live near Montreal in Quebec Canada…the breeders name is Maguy and our cats pattern is Cream Bi-color!

I have 2 ragdoll cats. Pablo and lulu, they are brother and sister. I purchased them as kittens. They are 4 years old and they are ruined. We all love them to bits. Pablo is the image of Harvey. They are so funny and sooo loving. They are so very different in personality. I feel that maybe its a female and male thing. I would be so scared of the pet scroller just incase one escaped. They go out in my back garden but thats as far as they go and can't escape. Aa pablo does put things to the test 😂

Living in the UK I don’t think I have ever heard of someone walking a cat on a leash haha that’s probably why there are hundreds of strays around my area

I was amazed to see photos of young Teemo and Harvey side by side. They looked identical, and yet one is a Bicolor , one is a Pointed. How amazing! I wonder if the breeder was able to tell that they will have totally different color patterns from that young age? Great if you can shed some light on that conversation.
Oh hey yeah I know right? The breeder was able to tell at such an early age. So in terms of bicolor vs pointed, based on my two ragdoll kittens I could tell there is light shading where the fur is not white. so if you look at that light shaded pattern you can determine what that pattern will be. Hope that helps!
@@TheCatButler Thanks. Probably needed to be holding the kittens up close to be able to tell. Otherwise, from the shots at 14:59, both Teemo and Harvey seemed to have some early cream shading right behind the tip of their noses. Thanks for answering my questions.
Truly sweet breed traits demonstrated by the Ragdoll family! Not sure my Siamese duo would do as well meeting up with their parents! I also love the Petkit products - Austen and Jasper have the auto feeder linked to the wifi Solo fountain, and also the smaller square older model fountain in my bathroom. Jasper likes drinking out of my water glass so I got him a fountain! Great videos Mr. Cat Butler!
