- O’Carolan’s Draught, composed by Turlough O’Carolan (1670 - 1738). In this video, I playmandolin, ukulele, tin whistle, English concertina, fiddle, and guitar using the Boss RC-30 looper to overdub parts. I’m also using the electro-harmonix Pitch Fork pedal to create low octaves for some instruments.

This is wonderful....to be master of the technology along with all the instruments!
I'm a year late but this is wonderful! No idea how you did it.
This is incredible, you have an amazing talent. Like 100 from me.

Brilliant! Bet it has taken a huge amount of time to perfect this! Thanks for sharing. Inspirational stuff!!
Thanks. Yes, it does take a lot of time. I’m glad there are people out there watching.
Lovely. The RC-30 is a powerful tool. O'Carolan also wrote one of my favorite tunes, Si Bheag Si Mohr.
That was quite something to see/hear!! The talent in this world gives one hope that beautiful creations with out over destruction. Thank you for this!
Clicked like about 2 minutes in, clicked subscribe about half way through, finished it off with a beer.
Well, that’s encouraging. Makes me think I should post more videos.
@@DuncanFig Makes me think I should post a looped tune. (Aside: My wife says you played the Goderich Celtic Roots Festival one year, any chance of a return engagement?)
@@Mike-Crocker I'd love to play Goderich again. Maybe I need to make more videos to promote myself and get hired for the festival.
@@DuncanFig Good idea.
Thank you, thank you Duncan! Wonderful - I need the whole piece on a loop. I could listen all day!
Thanks so much for listening, Sally. I hope to see you again soon.
Wow! Spectacular from start to finish! ❤
That was truly inspiring!! Thank you Duncan! Great to see you. I could tell that you really really enjoyed that too! I just listened to the interview on Q with Jimmy Cliff. They talked about how music is so important for the soul. And for life. Music is certainly deep within your soul! Again, thank you.
Thanks for your kind words, Karen. So nice to hear from you. I hope we get to have a few tunes together before too long.
Bravo!!!

Welcome Back - great to see you once again
I appreciate the support
Very cool ! What a dedication, congrats!
Any chance you could share your mic model for the concertina?
Great stuff. Love the cello/bass sound. What’s the mic you have on the fiddle?
Thanks. It’s a pickup built into the bridge. It’s made by Schatten, a Canadian company.
You've done a wonderful job on this. How do you like the RC-30? I'm looking at either that or the older RC-50.
Thanks, Ryan. The RC-30 is great. At some point I think I’ll upgrade to Ableton Live, which would allow more complex arrangements.
