Realistically, the total non-human/imperium/power armor options is a very small portion of the game overall. So it's not like they're spiting anything by playing humans/imperium/power armor all the time. One game a year even is potentially reresentative.
Loved the game guys. Entertaining and a good showcase for the armies. By way of clarification in the hope that it helps others: In the turn three shooting phase where Chef uses a fate dice to change the damage roll to a 6 - this takes place AFTER you make the dice roll. You need 7 damage twice to kill two beasts of nurgle - so could have fished for a 5+ (damage d6+2) and then assuming you make that 5+ roll with the first lance you could have saved the fate dice for the second roll, which you could then change after you rolled for damage - gaining a lot of efficiency. Using this rule and the fates messenger enhancement means characters like the Death Jester get very silly very quickly....
Heyo! Looking forward to seeing how this video plays out, but quick note at 3:59 you got the poxbringer and Spoilpox the wrong way round!! Picked up on this ‘cause I’m looking to get Mr Scrivener for a new list - anyways, I’ll get back to seeing where this match goes!
Right in the Banshee ^^ . Also, the torment bringer on exalted seeker chariot is such a baller model, too bad I 1) Dont collect demons 2) Heard its a pain in your ass to assemble 3) It looks difficult to paint, but when done proper it is so cool.
@@thepastrychef8014 I always thought Eldar added a really nice dynamic to a lot of the rest of 40k in terms of aesthetic especially now when a lot of 40k stuff is becoming sleeker and tacticool.
I've generally always enjoyed the Craftworlders, though they've always been a tough one to balance. Aspects is my preferred way so hopefully the Codex gives that element some reinvigoration. I also wouldn't be opposed to a complete overhaul of Fate Dice and the current "Eldar Reroll" detachment. Even in tamer lists they're both just obnoxious and frankly boring rules, to play both with and against 😅
I don’t hate the reroll on paper, since in theory they’re supposed to be fast, elite soldiers that aren’t that tough. But the problem is in reality the meta is to have really tough units, like Khain, Wraithguard, and Yvraine with Harlequins.
Really enjoyed this. The lists felt like what a normal local collector might have starting out, without many of the bigger expensive models, or on early editions when vehicles definitely felt more rare. Some of the sculpts look very old next to the newer ones though...gw! It would be nice to see the armies at the start in a bit more detail. Great report thanks!
They used a Stratagem to go into Strategic Reserves. If a unit starts on the board and goes into Strategic Reserves, and also has Deep Strike, they can arrive Turn 1
This Craftworld list has a very nostalgic feel to it, this is something similar to what a casual 3.rd or 4. Ed army from a white dwarf would lok like.

Thanks for not using imperium. Fresh change of pace.
And thanks for not using anything in power armour.

@@FreshLeafyVegetables 8/20 armies without power armour is hardly a small amount.
" i don't know what i'm going to do with it , but it looks scary :3" best way to play 40k atm haha !!
I agree!
Loving the Daemon love
How do you get the glossy finish on the Craftworld guardian helmets? Gloss varnish? TIA
Water solluable gloss varnish. 3-4 thinned layers (with letting everyone dry in between) will give you that effect.
@@PartisanGamerDE cheers mate much obliged
Scale difference in Morgan Ra next to the old metal reaper minis kinda looka like v strange bring your child to work day... 😅
I play Aeldari. I love their ability to reroll a hit and wound roll for each unit. Seems very Elf like.

Gw's classic sculpt for Tzeentch Horrors is an undefeated design!! Ggs gang
Thank you, two factions I'm playing !
those Aldari helmets and the Tzeentch Flamers and Changecaster look *AMAZING!*
Glorious, glorious! Always love the Aeldari, even if Necrons are my first love...

Very fun, loved how close it was in the end :D
Wow! That was a nailbiter! Beard and Chef fought that one for all they were worth.
You guys really need some more terrain. Having a shooting army be able to walk forward and shoot the entire enemy force on turn one is not super fair.
Wow eldar are scary! Those rerolls and saved dice are frightening.

Finally it feels like the only space elves that get any love are the wraith constructs this list looks awesome tho
I'd love a proper Swordwind, so I'm excited about the new Codex. Hopefully it gives the Aspects some love 😅

26:32 A panty and stocking reference in a battle report? Its more likely than you think
Daemons exploding into the immaterium? They're going home? That's nice of them.
great people great models yesssssssssss lads
What heads/helmets are on the guardians?
Im pretty new to 10th ed, but did none of the aeldari get to fight back in the first daemon turns fight phase?
More chaos daemons!
So after running eldari did you enjoy them and plan on using them more often?

Not seen yet, but get in FTW, space Elves!
11:43 "you do do do damage" that's a lot of doodoo

Thank you.
36:00 - "NO"
Why you do not use the battle Host hit and wound reroll?
If you carried on watching for a few more minutes, you'll see I caught the fact that I forgot, and then use it for the rest of the game 😅
Phantasm should be 2d3 inches. I've rolled 1s and 2s for it like 75% of times I've used it.
Yeah or 1d3 + 3....it's not so good now
Those Hawks are gorgeous 🥰
Just saw a total war III high elves vs daemons of chaos. Guess its today’s theme
13:07 what rules is he talking about here?
And where is his Strand of Faith dice?
The Battle Host Detachment rule (reroll a Hit and Wound roll). As for Strands, we don't show them on screen, but I mention when they get used 🙂
@@thepastrychef8014 I think I got confused when you said something about anti-infantry.
Righto!
Are your lists surprises to each other, or do you guys make them together?
Do they sound like Monty Python or like screaming old ladies?
How the hell do you keep track of all the damage and wounds
Wound markers, dice, things like that 🙂

I've got a 10yr old desperate to see a salamanders battle report but I can't see one? Anyone know if they've done one?
Is it me or is splitting fire a guaranteed way to screw up?
Oh a guaranteed path to greatness. There are no in-betweens 🤣
i have a question: How daemons can deep strike in turn 1???
They used a Stratagem to go into Strategic Reserves. If a unit starts on the board and goes into Strategic Reserves, and also has Deep Strike, they can arrive Turn 1
The realm of chaos 😄 i just watch the index, Thanks!
did chef get a haircut mid game from turn 1 to 2?
Chaossssss 👍🔥💪❤️
You don't doing your reroll?😅
Remember it later. Fortunately I only forgot for little firepower like Lasblasters 😅
Chef getting legit triggered at GW's lame weapon names was a true Big Mood moment
May I ask where those fantastic Alien plants came from?
