    I thought the self toss would be more complex then just tossing first and then doing your approach! Thank you, very helpful!

    i need help with my self toss, is goes high but it goes tight and sometimes and goes backward and not forward. i know my approach, but when i go and do it trying to jump serve i mess up and forget. some help plssss

      not that i can do this, but you really just need to work better on your toss. in fact, you can let go of the approach to the jump serve first and just keep tossing until you get it consistently. you can try with two hands or one hand whichever works for you.
      beyond that, unless you can have a super consistent toss and jump serve, youre better off in an actual match with a regular serve or a float

    What is the rope above the net for? Is it just to slow down the ball and make it easier to get?

      Just to encourage them to spike as high as they can, in volleyball if you hit the ball when your arm is fully extended it will be a stronger and faster hit.

      It kinda trains you where to hit the ball. My coach used it. Usually any higher it would basically me like serving it up by the net and you definitely don’t wanna do that

      its target so they arent freeballing

    Legit pretty much an easier jump serve
