I upgraded from Xs max to 13 pro max last month. Only because I wanted something new. The xs max is still a beast. Fast, smooth, battery health still 89% after three years, got me easily through the day. No issues whatsoever. If you don’t care much about camera, 5G, 120 Hz display, I highly recommend the Xs max.
Joking aside, I literally did that Last week. Got my XS Max in February 2020, and I upgraded it to the 13 Pro Max in January 2022. The only Three concern I had with the XS Max were the Battery, Camera, and the 4G. I did have a regret buying a 4G phone in a 5G era. For the battery, I do struggle to get it through a day unless I pay attention to the apps I use. The 13 Pro Max, heck I can play whatever app I like and it wont break its sweat. For the first time I use an iPhone Without Low Power Mode. The XS Max was always set on low power mode for that extra 1-2 hours. Cameras, well the ultra wide camera is definitely underrated, though cameras arent used all the time, when there’s that one time You cant step back, the ultra wide is really REALLY needed.
My only go-to channel whenever I or any of my family members wants to (or thinks about) upgrading to a new phone. I've been here for a while and content is ALWAYS soooo informative and honest.
iPhone 11 Pro Max, still has great value, the only downside is that there’s no 5G, and there isn’t no 120 Hz refresh rate. But it definitely still has value, it previously held the record for biggest iPhone battery ever. So I would still buy one. If you don’t care about 5G. Or 120 Hz refresh rate.

I just upgraded from XS Max to 13 Pro Max. I love the bright display. 120hz, camera amazing and much better camera. Feels like a big upgrade although the XS Max was a great iPhone too.☀️
It’s a major upgrade for sure! I had the 8 plus for a while then got the 13 pro max yesterday and i must say I was blown by its battery and camera…! It’s way better than my previous phone and It’s like nothing compared to what the 13 pro max can do

I have literally bought my first apple product, a 11 pro max 512 gig for £525.00 on eBay , should I stay with this until the 14 comes out so it gives me time to learn the apple way , or upgrade to the 12 or 13 pro max ?????
I bought a used iPhone 12 Pro Max and tried it out. Ended up selling it for a profit and back to using XSmax. I really dint see any difference other than camera and slightly bigger screen. My Xsmax has a battery case so battery is not an issue. I feel all these upgrades really don’t matter to me anyways.
I have an 11 pro (not max) and it’s my favorite iPhone of all time still. Reason why is because it’s the last one they made at that perfect 5.8inch size and my thumb reach top to bottom literally perfectly, not too big not too small screen, and everything is still up to date. Perfect beautiful cameras front & back, and of course it brought the super hdr color accurate Oled display beautifully, I love it man. The regular 11 and xr were the first to make them 6.1 inches which is right there at the point where I have to stretch and move it around to reach top to bottom, and the mini models have too small screens for me. I love my 11 pro and will probably rock it another 1-2 years, because sadly they probably will never make another one that particular size.
Totally agree, I’ve got a pro as well and the size and shape is perfect. It packs most of the 12 pro’s features at better value, and overall better and smaller than the standard 11. Got mine for 380 last year so it’s great value for what it is.
@@deadboy3646 No worries. I’m in Europe so currency is different but I gave about 45% of new buying second hand. It was right around when the 13 dropped so used prices have gone further down since then. Keep rocking that 11 pro man, like you said who knows if they ever bring this unique shape & size back.
I picked up the 13 pro max, and it honestly is the best phone I have ever used, the display, the cellular reception, and the battery life are the things I noticed most from the regular 11 that I had previously.

I absolutely love my 12 Pro Max! Amazing battery life, great pics and buttery smooth display and performance. I can easily get 1-2 days of use on a single charge so I would highly recommend the 12 Pro Max. I didn’t notice a huge difference when I took the Pro Motion for a spin on the 13 Pro Max so, not a game changer and definitely not worth the upgrade for me. I will be sticking with my 12 Pro Max for a few years at least. Thank you for the video! It provided an excellent, honest appraisal of the similarities/differences between these four stellar devices.
If you have ever used 120-144-165Hz+ screens before you will notice a difference. All of my laptops and desktop screens are all 144 or higher plus I'm coming from a 720p XR as well.
@@guyknightley3499 Oh I did notice a difference it just wasn’t game changing for me. It was very subtle, at least from my perspective. In fact, I didn’t know squat about 120hz vs 60hz et al until the 13 Pro line up was announced! I usually keep my phones 3-5 years so coming from a 7plus, I got a ton of new features on the 12ProMax as it is so, I look forward to seeing what the iPhone 16 has to offer! 😉
Yes i do agree with you. I have the 12 pro Battery is great! It lasts me the whole day with mid to heavy use. But when im on cellular data it drains a. Bit too fast. I dont know if it’s a software issue or if its the phone itslelf.Also the design of the12 pro and 13 pro look very similar. I got the pacific blue and everyone thinks i have the 13 pro😅😅
I just bought the xs max on black friday, it will probably arive tomorrow and I honestly cannot wait. I know it s still a great phone and I'm at peace with my decison. At first I wanted the 11 pro max but for some reason that phone is about $250 more that the XS MAX in my country and I think it s not worth it.
I just got mine and I must say it’s a huge upgrade over my previous phone which was the 8 plus. The battery is actually spectacular….I was using mine for like 6 hours total today and the battery life hasn’t dropped that much ?! Plus the camera quality is nice and clear. For those who are still waiting for theirs, it’ll be worth it once you finally get your hands on one!
@@MissGDC I ordered mine off the apple website on October 25th and it stated that it may take until November 23rd to December 1st for it to arrive at my door. Turns out that It arrived earlier than that , I got it delivered to me on the 15th which was roughly 4 weeks after I placed my order but I was so happy regardless. So you may end up also getting it sooner than you think ~
I upgraded from 8 Plus to 13 Pro Max and I can tell that this is the best iPhone apple ever made. I saw the 11 the X and Xs, the 12 and pro range for the 11 & 12. But yeah ProMotion I felt it instantly and the Oled screen ! The new camera front and back as photos and videos is just amazing ! Cinematic mode and night mode in all of the photos mode is huge. The performances in the game and just by using it intensively or normally and that checkin battery like it beats the other high ranges 2021 smartphones and I can say that I never goes under 65% at the end of the day like unbelievable from Apple to me. So make economies as I did and buy the last biggest one because you will have the best iPhone in your hands 👑

But as an upgrade, it doesn’t feel like it’s worth the $1700 starting price (in my country) just yet. The battery on the xs max has never been an issue for me despite all the bad rep it gets and me being a very heavy user, the screen kinda bugs me when I’m outdoors because it’s dull, but the phone never lags, the cameras are still great unless it’s dark and I’ll REALLY miss 3d touch once I’ll let go of this phone.
I'm on an XS Max and it's alright. I really like the 12 Pro Max. Two things that drive me crazy is how slow iOS is and how much it requires 2 hands. Been a Samsung guy for years but I wanted a change. I like the iPhone, I just wish Apple would improve iOS to be easier to navigate single-handed.
I bought this iPhone XS Max at the start of sales, in 2018. I got a lot of emotions, screen, design, cameras, especially the new gold color... One of the best iPhones in history. The advertising company was beautiful. This phone was perfect in every way
i originally had an iphone 7. i got it as a birthday gift for myself in 2017 and at the time it was the moment it was great and mainly because I wanted an iphone. Then this year july 2021, I upgraded to my iphone 12 pro max. At times I regret it because I could have waited for the 13 pro max but my phone's charger port was broken and wouldnt charge and overall the battery life was bad. I love my phone and hope to get the next iphone 17-20 lol
@@hashbrown7669 there is a difference but not drastically, main difference is with the battery life, & the 120hz display. camera’s are very similar but sharper on the 13 pro max.
11 Pro Max because it improved the battery life and the first iPhone support deep fusion and night mode which has improved when you taking photos at night . The only disadvantage is no 120hz display, no 5G and night mode doesn’t support selfie and ultra wide camera. But I think it’s the greatest improvement ever on iPhone
Mann back when two camera was a “Pro” feature! Now having a dual cam is a very standard thing, 3 cameras is pro! We’ve come so far! Love the videos! :)
i upgraded from 7 to XSMAX this year. i don’t need 11 promax or anything higher for now. i have ipad pro 2018, macbook air 2018 and s5 watch. am contented with my current ecosystem and loving it ❤️

I upgraded from iPhone 6s to iPhone 11pro max to 13 pro max. iPhone 6s, whenever they announced 3d touch is my reason and 1st iPhone owned. Then iPhone 11 Promax cause deep fusion and camera. iPhone 13 Promax because of lidar since I didn't want an upgrade to 12 because I just got the 11. I replaced my iPhone every two years, so probably the next iPhone will be the 15 series.

Just out of curiosity, I've been looking to upgrade to an iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max from being an android user for filming videos just like you do with this video...I really like the size of the 13 pro max but do you think it's more practical to just buy the 13 pro (for filming and daily use)? You did mention the battery life is a little less on the 13 pro but still pretty strong...altho not as long-lasting as the 13 pro max. Also for filming, is 512gb more sufficient? or should I go 1TB?
13 pro max user here…. I love the 11 pro max very reliable and fast. I kept my software clean (clearing recent calls and website history, pics) and it was still as snappy as my 13 pro max
Honestly people should get what they can afford & if you have any of these models below the 13 pro I don’t think moving up right now is a necessity but more of a want.
I would say that the 13 pro max is worth every penny jumping from 60hz to 120hz pro motion with bigger battery and a beast of a camera. The UI feel is still impeccable but there are lots of rooms for improvements.

I’ve had a XS Max since they came out. My new 13 Pro Max should be delivered today. Pretty excited since my XS Max’s camera only works 50% of the time and the battery is terrible these days.
Exactly why I traded in my xs max for the 13 pro max The battery was terrible. I didn’t want to hold on to it because it would just sit around the house. If I needed a back up I would just purchase a phone another phone used. They gave me over half of what I paid for it used. It should arrive by Christmas. I chose the gold 256 gb.

I just picked up an 11 pro max and it’s awesome. Though I will say the 12 pro max is worth it purely because of its better reception due to Qualcomm modems. Yes there’s 5g, but even the regular LTE got a boost in speed and coverage
Gave my 11 away to family. I think I want to buy a XS Max, for the bigger screen, because the 11s screen was too small for me, because Apple don't really use the screen real estate well enough. I don't update every year and I only use my mobile for calls and texts anyway...
I went from a flip phone to an iPhone 5c that I got on contract for free then, 1st gen iPhone SE (I still have and it's in perfect edition) I then bought my sister's iPhone XR for 75$ saying she broke the back glass but only the buttom right side was broken rest of the back was still fine and the lens was broken, the screen was all scratched up aswell. I stayed with the XR till it started taking foggy pics. I now have an iPhone 13 Pro Max that I will most likely have till it dies.
I changed my old Iphone 8 Plus that is getting dated and I if I used it constantly I would need to charge the phone at least 2 times a day... I bought a used Iphone 11 Pro Max 512g model, the battery is really amazing, I can use it all day long without worries, I ride bikes a lot and from what I'm experiencing I can use navigation for at least 6 hours easily.

How do you manage the bigger screen? Is it usable with one hand and does it fit your pocket well?

How long was the wait if I may ask? I ordered Nov 7 and the estimated date of delivery is Dec 1-7.

11 Pro Max because it improved the battery life and the first iPhone support deep fusion and night mode which has improved when you taking photos at night . The only disadvantage is no 120hz display, no 5G and night mode doesn’t support selfie and ultra wide camera. But I think it’s the greatest improvement ever on iPhone

i upgraded from 7 to XSMAX this year. i don’t need 11 promax or anything higher for now. i have ipad pro 2018, macbook air 2018 and s5 watch. am contented with my current ecosystem and loving it ❤️

I upgraded from iPhone 6s to iPhone 11pro max to 13 pro max. iPhone 6s, whenever they announced 3d touch is my reason and 1st iPhone owned. Then iPhone 11 Promax cause deep fusion and camera. iPhone 13 Promax because of lidar since I didn't want an upgrade to 12 because I just got the 11. I replaced my iPhone every two years, so probably the next iPhone will be the 15 series.

I upgraded my iPhone XS Max to a IPhone 11 Pro Max because I really just wanted to try the triple camera and not spend to much money but just have more hardware and a bit more features. I really like the frosted glass on this phone and I got a 256gb model while my xs max was 64gb.

Just out of curiosity, I've been looking to upgrade to an iPhone 13 Pro/Pro Max from being an android user for filming videos just like you do with this video...I really like the size of the 13 pro max but do you think it's more practical to just buy the 13 pro (for filming and daily use)? You did mention the battery life is a little less on the 13 pro but still pretty strong...altho not as long-lasting as the 13 pro max. Also for filming, is 512gb more sufficient? or should I go 1TB?
For your particular use case consider the 13 pro 1TB

13 pro max user here…. I love the 11 pro max very reliable and fast. I kept my software clean (clearing recent calls and website history, pics) and it was still as snappy as my 13 pro max

Honestly people should get what they can afford & if you have any of these models below the 13 pro I don’t think moving up right now is a necessity but more of a want.

I would say that the 13 pro max is worth every penny jumping from 60hz to 120hz pro motion with bigger battery and a beast of a camera. The UI feel is still impeccable but there are lots of rooms for improvements.

I’ve had a XS Max since they came out. My new 13 Pro Max should be delivered today. Pretty excited since my XS Max’s camera only works 50% of the time and the battery is terrible these days.
Exactly why I traded in my xs max for the 13 pro max The battery was terrible. I didn’t want to hold on to it because it would just sit around the house. If I needed a back up I would just purchase a phone another phone used. They gave me over half of what I paid for it used. It should arrive by Christmas. I chose the gold 256 gb.

I just picked up an 11 pro max and it’s awesome. Though I will say the 12 pro max is worth it purely because of its better reception due to Qualcomm modems. Yes there’s 5g, but even the regular LTE got a boost in speed and coverage

I went from a flip phone to an iPhone 5c that I got on contract for free then, 1st gen iPhone SE (I still have and it's in perfect edition) I then bought my sister's iPhone XR for 75$ saying she broke the back glass but only the buttom right side was broken rest of the back was still fine and the lens was broken, the screen was all scratched up aswell. I stayed with the XR till it started taking foggy pics. I now have an iPhone 13 Pro Max that I will most likely have till it dies.
From what I’ve seen the 11 line up has a great deal ngl. I just got my 8+ but until I will get a new phone I might get iPhone 13

I changed my old Iphone 8 Plus that is getting dated and I if I used it constantly I would need to charge the phone at least 2 times a day... I bought a used Iphone 11 Pro Max 512g model, the battery is really amazing, I can use it all day long without worries, I ride bikes a lot and from what I'm experiencing I can use navigation for at least 6 hours easily.
