    Disneyland is like a real life creation of the expression of "a barrel full of monkeys" lol. I sent a little extra your way today to help fill some monkey tummies. I truly marvel at all the staffs' ability to keep up their spirits and a cheerful outlook given the tremendous work load currently. Here is to hoping you are able to get some new volunteers soon & looking forward to seeing the integrations of all the babies.

    I think they look like a little cute version of the monster Frankenstein. This clip is one of the more informative when it comes to learning about the older monkeys. You are all doing something needed in the world. I volunteered for a while with cat's. Cleaning , handling and delivery and pickup. Very rewarding to be able to work with animals. Especially, one's most people don't really get involved with.

    Floki calling to a male bandit "Please brother come and rescue me from all of these babies"😁. He looked resigned when he put his arm on the cage. It can be tiring being the big brother and protector of so many younger ones😁.
    I guess a lot of those babies could say "I'm teething! In a worse way imagined"😁.
    Have you ever, on purpose let an older rescue or a baby for that matter join the Bandits instead of letting it out in one of your regulated troops and if so what was the reason for it?
    Thank you for sharing this video.

    Very cute! Lucky you’ve got young girls whose parents have money to send them to work at the monkey farm. It’s ironic that they have to pay so much to go work, basically for free, so they can hug and play with the baby monkeys!

    • @VervetMonkey
      @VervetMonkey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      actually its not just young girls we get all ages male and female oldest being well into the 80's, payment is to cover the amazing vegan food accommodation and naturally a percentage goes towards running the sanctuary - when you work it out probably cheaper to stay here for a month than at home and the price is far cheaper than staying in holiday accommodation.

    I'm not a proponent of "better off in the wild" when it comes to these babies. After watching what their own species does to innocent babies they are better off where they are at. Even if they did survive they'd just be more adding to the problem of "over population". Id love to have a baby but they grow up and I'm not prepared to be diapering and bathing a full grown monkey. I couldn't leave them caged or outside either. Those Asian countries need yo start dealing with their problem humanely. Catch, fix and release. Rescue the babies raise them in a "group", fix them and release the group back into the wild.

  • @renatezylla1421
    @renatezylla1421 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm always amazed at how intensively the monkey babies can scratch themselves - as soon as they're born, they already know the fast scratching movement... it's obviously innate to them!

    • @ML_SE

    Oh my gosh I would volunteer in a heartbeat!! Fly me and my son out there and I wjll freely dedicate my life to the monkeys! Im so serious that would be so amazing to be abls to work with these monkeys everyday. I love animals and have raised so many, but never a monkey. And that's the only animal I've ever wanted! Love how life works like that huh? Everything we can have we don't want and everything we can't have, we would die to have. Lol I'm a single mother of a 5 year old son. Wishing we could move away from this valley we live in in southern Colorado. I hate it here. Lots of murders, just had one earlier of a 15 year old boy... Guy that shot him had a bomb and this is just a few blocks feom my home. My dad committed suicide last December 1st. His hole side of my family disowned my family. So i Only have my mom n brother and of coarse my son and nephew. But other than that i don't have much of family left. Nothing here for us anymore. Definitely don't want to raise my son here. This place will ruin him like it does to everyone. So i have to leave somehow. Would move there and volunteer!! Yea right huh .. Im not that lucky. Well take care guys. Ill be keeping up with this amazing place and all you do! Best wishes to all of you
