- A Film By Barry Godin - New Bikepacking Bike Day - If you missed the last video where I break down the bike then please watch here - • My New Ultimate Bikepa...
So just having built up my new bike, the very next day I had to test it out. My plan was to ride from London to the Surrey Hills, which would give it a great mixture of challenges, gravel paths, bit of road, and most of all, a huge range of increasing difficulty trails.
I have to give it away, the bike was mind blowing, and better than anything I could of imagined, very very happy man and ready to set sail on many adventure together.
Good to see you back Barry! Keep up the great videos :)
Thanks!! Yes sorry have been struggling to find time for editing, but a mega film will be released today at 2pm, so that make up for it :-)
That rig rolls! 👌
I love it! thanks
Great film as always Barry! AND loving that bike too!!
Thanks so much Paul, Yes I love it! Rides soooo well
Another fantastic video Barry. Thank you.
Thanks so much
Great video and fab new bike. I did wonder when you set up for night, if the bike was going in the tent and you would be sleeping outside!😀 Enjoy your adventures!
Haha, well I did think to carry a second tent for him :-) It is so shiny I am afraid the moon light will catch it and cast a search light into the air :-)
I’ve not been to Surrey downs for a long time. Nice to see a few bits I recognised. The silver Pike on the Ti frame looks great. It’s a handsome steed and the shock up front will be a game changer when you get into more challenging terrain. Enjoy and rejoice in thy youth 👍
Hey Robert! Yeah that pike fork is amazing! But it is not ti, just looks it, it is a cro-mo frame and rides like a dream, challenging terrain is a different world to my old rigid :-)
@@barrygodin7538. CroMo still rides good. So much better than an Ali frame. Looks great too
Awesome
Thanks so much!!!
Love to see it, definitely looks good!
Thanks so much
@@barrygodin7538 no problem!
Seriously sexy steed....you lucky man!
Thanks so much Alan, a dream build
Hi Barry, i would love to do my first bikepacking adventure. I have bought most of the necessary equipments. I'm also planning to do an epic trip to Peak District in summer. Can i please join you on your next bikepacking trip in Surrey? I live in South London and i would love to learn from you ☺️ many thanks and keep safe.
Awesome video! do you mind sharing the route. Thanks
Hi Ian, Sorry I do not give out exact routes, but it is based off the Love lace project which with a google you will find, and then all surrey hill trails are on trail forks, but taken me 15 years to learn those trails and piece them all together :-)
Nice Barry!
Thanks Matey
Great film as usual.
I'm looking for new lights for the winter.
Can you tell me what you use please?
I think in an earlier vlog he mentioned Silva. (You can just see that in these shots too.)
Hi Steve! I am using a Silva Exceed XT on the handlebars and Trail Speed XT on the head, I got sent them to test, and normally always use USE exposure lights. But have impressed how long the burn time is on the Silva lights
Thanks :-)
Great to witness the start of a beautiful love affair 😂. Looking forward to seeing you both on some serious trails, hope the Lake District weather will be kind to you (probably not, but hey, it is the Lake District for a reason).
Haha, thanks so much Jon! Yes romance is in the air! And you will get to find out about the Lakes today - film being released at 2pm :-) and it is a cracker
Haha nice bmx'ing
haha, thought someone would like that :-)
What's the tune at 5:30? Nice pick.
You and that bike need to get a room....
Haha, it is true love :-)
