    Epic match, Koyo is underrated, more like 2780+ than 2650. Congrats to Ma who was down in the final game but stayed tough and won the match!

      You bring up a great point here and in glad you see the differences. There are so many levels to this game that are decided by the littlest of adjustments from the feet to the fingers.
      I can look at players 1000 points less than these two guys and those 1800 rated players are still doing many many more things right than me.

    Koyo has more power and Ma more consistency with spin. At the end, Ma's mental strength gave him the edge. Koyo is definitely underrated, his forehand loop has top level power.

    Thank you for recording and uploading! High level match videos in will help many table tennis players in US. I was wondering if I could reuse the video for educating purpose to comment and explain their techniques and strategies?

    • @LosAngelesTableTennis
      @LosAngelesTableTennis  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Blue is Koyo, Red is Ma Jinbao. Ma Jinbao is currently a coach at 888 table tennis and the 3rd highest rated player in the US. Koyo is rising through the ranks and is on Kou Lei's team here in the US.

    I wonder how much topspin there are on those reverse pendulum serves. It looks like the player in black t-shirt is pulling the racket up at the end.

    • @LosAngelesTableTennis
      @LosAngelesTableTennis  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure it varies depending on how much top he wants to put on it. Keep in mind, Ma Jinbao is about the only person that has beaten Kou Lei here in the states, and he has done so on more than one occasion.

      He's at the top. But Koyo looked like he has a very interesting style, I would love to see a rematch.
      And according to the ratings and the last US Open, Kou Lei still sits at the top.
