Hi, good stuff, keep us uptodate with what you do with the machine and all your other projects. Like the channel no bull or waffle good honest action and info. Many thanks from Nr Chester UK.
What a great find! Love all your modifications used to put it back in working order. Here in the US we've been flooded with Chinese mini excavators which are crapola IMHO. I'd prefer your machine any day over one of those. Hope you get many years of use out of it. Nice video too. Wish I could give you 5 stars!😂😊
Mate thanks for your comment. I am surprised how well it’s built for a tiny digger and I totally agree it’s way better than any of the Chinese machines
Question? What is the range of the digger if you use a corded drill.? Answer - depends on the length of the extension lead. (I thought it was funny anyway)😂😂😢
i have a sk007-3 in vic, needed alot of hydraulic leaks fixed when i got it for 3k 5 years back engines going strong over 4000hours and it may be original took weeks to unstick my adjustable undercarriage, ended up wedging it and using the ram back and forth since got a auger from a Chinese mini and had to widen the ears by 10mm to fit but it bores well do you like the twist steering?, i want to mod mine to go back to twin sticks
Thanks for the comment. You got yours cheap too. I have one side of my undercarriage to unstick. I figured it will take me a bit. I hate the twist steering, maybe one day I will change it to two levers
Yep I know yet the rest of the machine shows very little wear. The guy I got it off was using it on cement to clean our calf pens. Maybe that is what caused extra wear
On ya mate. Good thinking on the parts. What's the power difference in the old vs new engine? And any idea how much power you're losing at the coupler? A little Supa Rip and she'll be right.
Thanks for your comment. The Yanmar is 8hp and the new engine 11hp although I haven’t checked torque. Interestingly the Yanmar revs at 2600rpm and Robin 1800. Haven’t noticed any difference in affecting speed of hydraulics. Coupler I don’t think there is any loss of power. Always when connecting a hydraulic pump to a motor you need a rubber coupler in between

Thanks for the awesome comment!!!!!
Brilliant! I would have never thought of unloading that with a drill.
Yep I wasn’t sure if it would work and I didn’t really have any other options
Using a drill to move the excavator was an instant "hit like - hard!" :-)
Very cool.Loved watching and look forward to a lot more.Admire your mechanical apptitude

The way that bucket looks it looks like it's been used for about 8,000 hours

Good name, sure beats Chinese

I hope you noticed that it didn't have an air cleaner
It has an aircleaner!!
The wear on the bucket teeth show more than 800 hours on clock.
