No personal hate on her, but I'm honestly glad her and the Kardashians are losing influence. During the phase of the Karsdashians and Instagram models defining the beauty standard, it seriously affected my self image. Celebrity children don't always necessarily have complete control over their circumstances and I think that if Kylie had better parents and wasn't forced to grow up so fast she would have had a better adulthood.

1:26 THISSSS!! This was the major point for me. As a 21 year old black woman, I remember when Kylie Jenner blew up back when I was in middle school. And even then I couldn't understand why she was deemed as being the person to 'popularize' fuller lips. Historically and genetically speaking, fuller lips are an Afrocentric feature and MOST black people have fuller lips whereas MOST, not all, white people don't. And we used to get made fun of for it. We were called baboon lips, monkey's, etc. But then when white people do it, all of a sudden it's trendy and it looks good. Same thing with long acrylic nails. Black and Latina women popularized long acrylics back in the 80's-90's. We were told that they looked like animal claws, but now it seems like everyone wants them too. (No, I'm not gatekeeping nails or lips.) The point I'm making is that when black people do something it is perceived as ghetto, ratchet, thuggish, etc, but white people can do that same thing and all of a sudden it's amazing.

She has nothing interesting or real to say, nothing interesting to show us and nothing interesting to do so eventually people would slowly get tired of her. No passions, no hobbies, music taste? Personal style? Books she likes? Tv and film she likes? Philanthropy? Sense of humor? Nothing. During the phase of the Karsdashians and Instagram models defining the beauty standard, it seriously affected my self image. I kind of do. She was a child when a lot of this stuff happened. She "founded" Kylie cosmetics when she was 17, dated tyga at 16, and got plastic surgery before adulthood. I seriously doubt that most of this was solely her idea, but rather Kris trying to turn her daughter into a cash cow. She's the real villain here. Celebrity children don't always necessarily have complete control over their circumstances and I think that if Kylie had better parents and wasn't forced to grow up so fast she would have had a better adulthood.

It's a series of techniques to make your truma more bareable and because what she's gone through has been a continuous thing in her life since she was like 13 she will likely never be able to live a normal life. 1:26 THISSSS!! This was the major point for me. As a 21 year old black woman, I remember when Kylie Jenner blew up back when I was in middle school. And even then I couldn't understand why she was deemed as being the person to 'popularize' fuller lips. Historically and genetically speaking, fuller lips are an Afrocentric feature and MOST black people have fuller lips whereas MOST, not all, white people don't. And we used to get made fun of for it. We were called baboon lips, monkey's, etc. But then when white people do it, all of a sudden it's trendy and it looks good. Same thing with long acrylic nails. Black and Latina women popularized long acrylics back in the 80's-90's. We were told that they looked like animal claws, but now it seems like everyone wants them too. (No, I'm not gatekeeping nails or lips.) The point I'm making is that when black people do something it is perceived as ghetto, ratchet, thuggish, etc, but white people can do that same thing and all of a sudden it's amazing.

I think sprinter has the potential to be a brand outside of the Jenner/kardashian realm if they market it well. The problem is that Kylie is no longer relatable as she was back then so it’s harder for her to break free of that with these brands.

I feel like Kylie could’ve had longevity if she for lack of better had a personality. I’m not a fan of the Kardashians. But from what I’ve observed or gathered, she like all her sisters have been on reality tv for well over a decade…and yet I couldn’t really tell you anything about Kylie. Especially now more than ever, her celebrity and online presence is so sanitized and devoid of personality. I know people say it’s the lack of talent but I think of people like Emma chamberlain, despite her not having a traditional media talent, she has an interesting persona/personality. She’s outspoken with her podcast and even if not everything she says is well articulated or formulated, there’s still a sense of character. She’s entertaining as a host on the red carpet for the MET gala. And her TH-cam videos are distinct and striking.
But all I know about Kylie is she has lip fillers and she likes being a mom lol. And she has a lot of hand bags. Even Kylie’s social media, she just looks hot or has a business. She has nothing interesting or real to say, nothing interesting to show us and nothing interesting to do so eventually people would slowly get tired of her. No passions, no hobbies, music taste? Personal style? Books she likes? Tv and film she likes? Philanthropy? Sense of humor? Nothing.
