    Best car I've had in 20 years. Style, comfort, great MPG, handling, safety, and it's the sexist car on the road under 75k.

    We bought one this year...what an amazing accomplishment by a car manufacturer. I suggest that you seriously consider at least taking one for a test drive, before you sign the dotted line of any other manufacturer. At least see what you really think, instead of listening to other people,whether it be negative HATER comments or even great reviews like this one.
    Oh and for all the HATER comments like"..its a cheap Aston Martin"...Your just jealous that you can't even afford the cheap one :)

    Still looks stunning! It was ahead of its time back in 2013. Ten days before this video was released in February 2013 we got the brand new fusion titanium in black. The first 6 months we had the car, everyone was commenting on how good looking it was

    60k Miles in 3 years on my SEL with 2.0L Turbo and Leather trim with all upgrades, still drives like a dream. Was even a rental car for a year into it's life. The handling and steering is very tight, this is what set it apart when compared with other mid-sized sedans I drove. I get 30-33mpg on the highway and with mostly city driving you can expect around 23. Very good options for 2 year old used vehicles under 20k with most options.

    My sister got this car for around town driving. Nothing fancy base engine, backup camera, sync. It's pretty nice for driving around at a cool $32G. Feels more solid than the Nissan Altima my friend has or the Chevy Malibu my Aunt has.

    difference between lifespan and maintenance, I'll give you that. I'm a mechanical engineer and have worked in the engine block and piston manufacturing business so I know what I'm talking about. If the engine is designed from the ground up to be turbocharged, it won't have a shorter lifespan, whereas a naturally aspirated engine that is then turbocharged will. There is a reason why every single European automaker does it..

  • @CodyRushDriving
    @CodyRushDriving 9 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Yeah except it doesn't get 47mpg in the hybrid. Not even close. On my best days I get 41. Normal driving it's closer to 34-35 on average. Key is to keep it around 45-50mph. Then you'll hit 43. That rarely happens for long periods of time though, at least where I live. But don't get me wrong, I still LOVE my Fusion Hybrid. I just think the mpg rating is deceptive.

      Travis DaDrunk It true the WRX is more bumpier due to stiffer suspension or they call it sport tune suspension. I never drove a Fusion before. I remember when it redesign was first introduce, I seriously thought it was the best family sedan I ever seen (for the non luxury class) but now most of the Korean brand cars look very similar to Ford now so it doesn't stand out anymore. Also it feel less special now cause you see these cars so often.

    I'm looking at getting a 2016 Fusion or 2016 VW Jetta? Which one is better overall?

    • @DarrenPersad
      @DarrenPersad 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can’t cross-shop or compare those because they aren’t even competing in the same market. The Jetta competes with the Focus. The Passat competes with the Fusion.
      Although I am a VW driver, I’ve been finding it harder and harder to recommend our North American Spec Passats because they just aren’t as well equipped as some of the competition.
      The Passat looks good, feels good, drives well, and is built well, but is rather bland for most people. I call it stark minimalism and understated sophistication, but most call it boring.
      The Passats can be had for lower prices, with fairly good technology and equipment, but the Fusions feel decidedly more modern.
      They arguably look better too (though that’s subjective) - they are well designed inside and out without being too gaudy, like some of the Japanese competition.
      Reliability is usually good enough with both brands, especially if you are selective of engines and trims, but the Japanese will give you more peace of mind in general.
      If you’re like the majority of the market, the Fusion would (most likely) be a better choice.

  • @solomonshv

    i'm not sure what you were expecting from a car that has a turbo engine, voice commands, a car that can park itself, keep itself in lane on the highway, and costs only 40k.
    the interior is anything but cheap. when i was buying my ford explorer i sat in a loaded Fusion. the quality of the leather is just unmatched in other cars in its class (ie, not a luxury sedan). the LCD screen is huge. plenty of controls. etc.
    want to see a spectacular interior? check out the Lincoln MKZ

    Many owners are having problems with both the computer that controls the throttle and the transmission. There have been dozens of reports across the country of acceleration and deceleration issues.
    I myself was doing 65 in the center lane of a highway when the car began to decelerate on its own. I could not get back up to speed and luckily made it over to the shoulder. I then turned the car off and waited a minute or so. I restarted the car and took side roads home.

    They don't have a lesser lifespan. Their internal components are not the same from aspirated engines. They are designed to do what they are suposed to do. You don't just take an aspirated engine and install a turbo. You can see a lot of 1.8 Turbo charged engines from VolksWagen Jetta running 500.000 miles in perfect state. Google "volkswagen 500.000 miles" and see it.

    Being a LINCOLN Onwer for Decades and now Retired with a 08' MKZ , now with 64k Miles on it.. I am tossed up betwn the Fusion or the Used 15' MKZ Hybrid. Both are hard to sell by dealers out here in teh countryy of Wi. .Seen taking the ave of 3 mos to sell one..Most want V6 Power for most doing Hwy speeds and /or want SUV's or PUp Trucks..
    But for us? Driving 90% City/in Town and 10% Hwy? Either is Fine for us now that Fusion has almost all the Options formally on the Lincoln and the Fusion is the Lincoln in disguise in many cases.. Removing the Ford Emblems & Adding a Lincoln Embleum on the Front Grill & Trunk really confuses people..

    Can anyone tell me where is the aerial signal/frequency. I don't want to get radiated, getting brain tumor due to this radio/gps invisible antenna. I can see that it doesn't exist as it once was on the previous models such as, Mondeo Mk3. But, where is located the magnetic radio wave?
    Most of cars, almost all of them, have the antenna and aerial signal at the end of them, near the trunk. Mondeo or Focus until recently considered that is "very good" for the customers to have antenna just above the front passengers. Where is the antenna signal when it comes to MK4 (facelift) and MK5? Thank you!

Surprised this video doesn't mention that the Fusion Hybrid hasn't been able to get anywhere NEAR 47 mpg in real world reviews.

    A million miles on a Honda. I had two Hondas and took very good care of them. I thought in buying an Accord that I was getting one of the most reliable cars in the world. I went through three transmissions in 150,000 miles when I've never needed to replace a transmission in any other car that I've ever had except for one GM from the 1970s. I had problems with body hardware on that car and it deteriorated so much in five years that I traded it. Had a Civic right before. Not impressed.

      2pacexpert to a point, you're right. But that is exactly why I like it. I have my " look at me" vehicle, but something like this is great for day to day driving and longer trips. It doesn't scream "pull me over" and let's you blend in to a point without being as bland as a corolla.

      Did the fusion replace the ford tempo? also the Lincoln mxz what did that car replace?

  • @garydavis1528
    @garydavis1528 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    To drop this car in 2020 is a big mistake, Ford will lose vital expertise and understanding as well as customers when this could have been finally tuned into a fantastic Mark V & VI when suv fashion trend fades.

  • @DanielFenandes
    @DanielFenandes 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    You are wrong. Just because Ford couldn't get it right with THIS engine doesn't mean direct injection, turbocharged engines, etc... aren't efficient. Americans likes big engines, go to europe and you will see it.

    Again... every auto manufacture is going the turbo route, there are plenty of benefits. Europeans have been doing it for decades, while the American brands are just starting to catch on, and $70? you must be from California cause I put full synthetic in my car and it costs $35-40. Also the average time that an owner has the same car is 5-7 years which is a pittance compared to how long turbo/naturally aspirated engines can go, so in the end, it doesn't even really matter.

    Welcome america to the european way of downsizing :)
    I really like the fresh design, better than the focus.
    This car should come as the Ford Mondeo here in europe, but somehow Ford has production problems with it ....

    Ford Fusion 2013 still with warranty, only 10kmiles. . , 1 year having problems with gearbox and front axe. More than 45 days at the authorized repair shop, no spare car offered. No solution at all. Very dissapointed with Ford. NExt time only foreign cars in my options!

      You got a defected car it's very rare but happens, my dad had this 2010 Camry and after 5 weeks it changed its mind and wanted to be a 3 cylinder. But I reliable car would be a Honda Accord, Camry, or a Malibu (great car) fusion is supposed to be very reliable

      It;'s a "world car" designed to fit all markets inall countries, meeting all local requirements. It has American glide with European (better than most European) steering feel. It's 20% European, 20% American, 20% Asian, etc.
