I don't know where else to put this message.... sorry for your countries/commonwealth loss of your queen today. Must make you proud to have had someone that did her bit during WW2 by being a mechanic and Landrover driver doing her part for the war effort. Condolences from the USA, Florida, Avon Park, Douglas Martin.
Si gave you a bender in three bottles! On a serious note, Kevin, your videos make my soul sigh for the green and wonderful landscape of England. Stuck here in NSW, Australia, where the gum trees dominate everything and the beauty of what makes England but a faint and fading dream, I can but dream of a lush, eye-soothing landscape like what you and Aslan travel through. Oh, and Aslan's beat is the song of freedom, I think.
Damn dude some of the nicest and prettiest areas going are on the coast of southern NSW from what I have seen. Some of England looks nice but it also seems to be very crowded with train tracks or motorways around nearly every turn. I would like to see some bits of England, especially WW2 history, but that would be about it. Cheers.
@@stevemumbling7720 I have been. Both my sons live there and I have many friends all over the UK. One cannot compare NSW's rural areas to built-up areas in England. Last time we were there we stayed with my son in Amesbury and often went to Salisbury and other towns in the area. Not a train to be seen or heard until you've driven to Salisbury or Andover, and you could walk the countryside for hours without seeing any cars. Plus, with their right or way rules, one can walk across farmland and through woods. Here we can't even take our leashed dogs into national parks, even though they do less damage than kids. What I also loved is the huge variety of trees, the fact that you can walk or cycle from village to village, go into pubs without pokie machines and blaring TVs. Brits who would like to emigrate to here have obviously not spent any time in Oz. It's not all sunshine and clear skies like you see on TV or travel programmes. It gets cold and wet here, too. If it's sunny weather you want you have the whole Med.'s coastline. Most of the suburbs (apart from the very wealthy ones) have houses crowded together with often hardly a tree in sight. Some of these new developments are in the middle of nowhere. It's common for houses to be less than three metres apart. It's not the paradise people think it is. I have lived on five continents and Australia is no better than the other four, really.
Do you ever look at the dull overcast weather on all vids i look at the depressing sky,now look out at our weather,i would not trade places even though i am an expat.
I can appreciate the need for a break from filming and editing, Kevin. You don't just film - you produce well planned, thoughtful, entertaining content that keeps your viewers wanting more. I can't imagine the added time it takes to position a camera or two, walk away, then retrace your steps as you film, then go back to retrieve the cameras. You take pride in what you do for your viewers and we appreciate that. Then there's the editing. Must take hours upon hours. Amazon would not have picked up your channel some years back if it didn't meet their tough standards for professionalism and entertaining content. We appreciate you. Now, if you'd only compile a printed book from all of the still shots you've amassed. I'd buy that in a heartbeat and I suspect many of your viewers would too. Kevin and Aslan on my coffee table. Imagine that.
Many thanks AJ. Indeed I see myself as a filmmaker rather than a vlogger, which of course means I set myself far overreaching goals. Actually if I don't go just that bit further and exhaust myself by the end, I don't feel like I've earned a break. 🙂
Binged watched every episode from 1-6 on Amazon prime 7-8 on TH-cam enjoyed it immensely can associate with you on episode one in your campervan as I was in the same position in 2010 in my Mondeo but I went the other way.Just look what I missed but watching your videos as helped ease the pain all though the Tommy cooper impression was painful good luck Kevin may meet one day
So, I've no interest in narrow boats or canals.... However. Each morning before work and sometimes in the evenings I thought, I'll give this a try. I've just smashed out all your content on amazon prime and it was ace mate, nice and relaxing and chills me out, can't wait to catch up now on here.

The most beautiful ride ever. Such lovely country and scenery. As always, spending a little time with you is a peaceful, relaxing break. Enjoy your break. I look forward to your return. To you from Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, USA.

Haha! I've been quietly watching your postings since the beginning. Grew up in East Farndon, not far from Crick and Foxton Locks. Have lived in Breckenridge, Colorado for 40 yrs now. This one made me comment. Love it and all the best Kevin.
Wonderful Kevin! What a way to end your travels by narrowboat for now! The beauty on the canals is never a disappointment. Your eye for that mother duck tucking away her baby for a meal was darling but what I wasn’t expecting was your reaction to the beer tasting. I couldn’t stop laughing. Well enjoy your time to just rest and relax. We will look forward to your next travel videos. Cheers😎

“It appears they all know my name” Well the Kevin, Aslan has to be renamed to either Cheers or Norm! :) And you know what, why not a bit of horn blowing! You provide so much pleasure and inspiration, those are good things to be acknowledged! Oh, and I thought of you last week, I had a quick trip to Venice which as about a five hour drive from where I live in Austria and was amazed to see a couple of side canals dry! What shocked my most was how shallow they actually are. I always thought them to be deep but I reckon they would be around only five to six feet deep, not much at all!
