A unique design for sure! I do agree with you about the strike bezel. Thats like using a knife for self-defense. If you do decide to use it, it can have pretty disastrous consequences.
If you turn the button the other way, instead of M for Manker, it’s W for Wanker (the wanker is the guy on the receiving end of that nasty strike bezel) 😁😈. Great review! Ordered this light & receiving it tomorrow. This will be put in my car…
There’s also momentary strobe - 3 quick half presses (hold on 3rd one) & it will strobe until you release. I carry this light in my car door along with a spare battery.
How is its runtime on turbo before stepdown? Do you know if it's running a FET driver? It looks like it's got a bit of thermal mass so it should handle the heat better than slimmer lights like the Thrunite TN12P, even on direct drive. That SFT-40 is such a good LED. But the market is pretty crowded with offerings of it now. The reflector size says it should throw as well as the Noctigon KR1 or better, more than 500 meters and north of 70,000 candela . If it does all of those and sustains output like the Cyansky K3 does, it'll be worth the price.
How would you rank this flashlight compared to the list of self defense flashlights you recently did a video on? Where would this one fall on that rank?
It is pretty good and reliable in terms of a self-defence flashlight. Where I would say this falls short is the fact it cannot momentary without going into low or strobe mode. So momentary would have to be spaced out far enough to then reset back to turbo mode
UI sucks, main reason I didn't get one. It has an aggressive bezel, UI must be decoupled. Went for Wurkkos TD03 instead, I definitely love it. Also, Manker Striker's performance didn't meet its specs, especially the claimed 500m throw.
Apples to Oranges mate. EDCL2 is neutral white, way less candela, much more of an even beam profile with a large hotspot and matching spill. The Manker Striker is tight hotspot and spill, Wayyy more candela, and cool white. I wouldnt be using the EDCL2 at the distances I would use the Manker, But I wouldnt use the Manker for the closer jobs that I would use the EDCL2 for
I just ordered the titanium version. Sft40 is such a great throwy emitter.

@@KenNet1337 Damn straight!! I would not want to be on the receiving end of that nightmare!! lol
Freakin wow!! What a freakin beast of a compact torch!! SICK hotspot! Right on bro👍
That hotspot is amazing! I’m over here cheating on my pd35 now looking at the manker 😂
That bezel is something else.

Have you reviewed the Striker Mini?
No, not yet. I will definitely try to get my hands on one though

Hello sir Convoy L21B Sft40 vs Manker striker Sft40 which is stronger and brighter? 😊😊😊
Probably the L21B I think. But the Manker Striker is amazing

so was this light a keeper or is it going to fb marketplace?

Can i use strobe, even it's on high or low?
@FlashLight Crazy could you compare this light to EDCL2T from Surefire please?
