      I have a KR1 copper SBT90.2 as well (and early Vihn version, before Hank sold them). They’re very different lights, and I keep both around.

    Manker has great value for the money; i have the small E02 II headlamp for a year and a half of flawless service and everyday carry. This one is great, although low with a 14500 is too high. I think that having a rechargeable AA is a better deal. Anyways, on my list and nice comments and demonstration on patina, it really makes it special and unique!

    Amazing and informative review, thank you for making it. In protection of Anduril 2 I would encourage everyone to not be afraid and buy Anduril even if you prefer simplicity. You set it once to your liking, even as a single or double mode light and use it simply in the rest of your life. You can preset modes, upper and lower limits. You can decide if you want it let go hot and illuminate longer in high or limit temperature so your light fades before getting hot. Set once, enjoy undisturbed.

    Think cyanskys p12r is an honorable mention for pocket throwers but the mini striker is just insane size to throw ratio

    This is interesting, Just yesterday I modded my Jaxman E3 with Convoy T3 driver and Osram W1 (my first Osram emitter) and what a transformation, I am really impressed. Only downside is the tint compared to my 519A 5000K, but well worth it for my needs in this light.

    • @cheule
      @cheule  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you don’t go Osram for tint or CCT! Just max intensity.

      @@cheule For sure. I was running a 519A 4500K dedomed in this light with the stock driver, but for outside it was really underpowered and this mod was great.
      The 519A now is going into my old Nitecore EC25 Cobra, replacing the old XML emitter.

    You had me at copper pocket thrower until you started talking bad about the GT nano. The gt is one of my favorite lights but I only run mine with the 10440 and all your points are valid for the stock battery. As always great video and excellent talking points. I'm going to check the manker out a little more.

    • @cheule
      @cheule  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The 10440 battery helps, but what I always wanted with it was a legit 9A 14500. The E05 gives me that.

    If you like this light you might enjoy the Fenix PD25R as well. I carry one every day as my thrower and love it. It is a bit bigger but the lumens are a bit higher, rechargeable from the body and the throw is insane.

    The micro with long 10440 tube is a great pocket or keychain light. Put Anduril on all my lights please. ✌️

    • @cheule
      @cheule  ปีที่แล้ว

      Even with the 10440 tube, it not really a match for the 14500 in the E05 or FW1AA. As I alluded to in the video, Anduril feels like a mismatch on a thrower.

    • @66marbor

    It would be cool if somebody made a small flashlight, that would be a combination of a compact thrower and fled side-by-side so it would be in a rectangle formation rather than a circle. I’ve seen larger ones but I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen a small one like that that would be obviously thicker than a cell phone but similar shape that could fit in one pocket. Has anyone done anything like that?

    • @cheule
      @cheule  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think when flashlights are small, everything is competing for space. Definitely a design conundrum!

    Have you tried the Ti Ant Man? Not the Alu variant, it has no driver, Ti variant is like twice the output with a driver and high-low-strobe, tiny size, massive performance, as well as trit slots :D

    • @cheule
      @cheule  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not! I kind of figured the antman Al was simply direct drive, because the output drops immediately if your battery isn’t exactly 4.2v.

    Just don't polish an copper with fine milling for grip. Like a doofus I used Semichrome on my Tactile Turn after a year of use. Still grips well enough, but I lost every micro-edge on the thing.
