Great review Jason. Nice looking watch. I bought the PRX quartz. Paid around 300 euro equivalent. Unfortunately I was disappointed as, I kid you not, the seconds hand didn't hit even ONE of the markers. It drove me crazy. Lazy QC, didn't even bother lining up the movement correctly. I sold it quickly and only lost 20 euro on it. The Pagani is actually a very good buy if you want something with the look. Btw, the lume on the PRX isn't great either.
I've actually just got a PRX in, the quartz. I think it's insane what some of the bigger companies can get away with when they release their budget watches! Minimum you expect is it to line up!
Thanks for the comment. I've been considering the PRX quartz version myself. But the only thing that bugs me with quartz movements is when they're not lining up against the markers. And reading this made me sure to at least not choose the quartz version. And as usual, these homage watches are great as "try outs" if you want to check out if the design etc is worth paying full price for the Swiss brand.
I think that the main thing missing on this Pagani compared to the PRX Powermatic (which I own), is that striking waffle pattern on the dial. Obviously, for under $100, it probably wasn't possible. So, this is in the odd area of really looking much more like the quartz version, with an automatic movement. I've yet to pick up any of these Aliexpress watches. But I do enjoy the reviews, particularly with notes on the comparison to what they homage.
Nice review Jadon, and I think this is a winner for anyone wanting to give this style a try on wrist for min cost. In my basket, and showing at US $85 ... how can you go wrong? Thank you for sharing my friend 👍
NH35 is better than Powermatic 80, because the Powermatic 80 that inside of PRX is made by plastic escapement wheel and plastic pallet fork. Pagani is better than Tissot
Thank you pal, its appreciated! I have so many favourites but I think the ultimate would have to be a San Martin in whatever takes your fancy...the finishing is just incredible
I'd say ultimate best buy Aliexpress is the Steeldive Captain Willard (SD1970) ... best watch in my opinion is any chrono with an automatic ST19 movement ... almost all other automatic chronos will be Swiss and run you in the thousands. Seagull Chinese Pilots watch is popular, often reviewed and almost always highly rated - I prefer Sugess for the look. That said San Martin is at the top tier ... can't go wrong with one of theirs ... i recommend looking through reviews first before choosing a model.
dont get me wrong ; i love it ; and find its a far better value for your money/time that a PRX auto or quartz. but that being said ; dont read past this if never going to unsee something is an issue. the movement and bezel/cristal is not centered on the flat base core. ....
I think a decent effort, other homages suffer from the bracelet, however I don’t get the point of the display case back and butterfly clasps drive me mental…
Pagani Design could have made this design their own only of they made this (and the chrono version) in 38mm, a more accessible size which the Tissot PRX and other watch brands carrying the same design profile fail to offer.
It's a beauty. I have the black Chronograph PRX on it's way and got it for 60 dollars. Could i order straps that are meant for Tissot, that would fit mine?
Even as a staunch defender of homage watches, I just don't get this one. Maybe if someone really can't afford even the quartz PRX, then I would understand, but other than that...this is not saving up for a Rolex.
I respectfully disagree...it gives the option of an automatic watch in the same style at an absolutely bargain price! It doesn't always have to be about the end goal
@@JasonTheWatchGuy Well, yeah, but there is a line beyond which you just lose money. I'm not a watchmaker, nor a watch seller, so I don't know where the line is. "We're not rich enough to buy cheap stuff". On the other hand, affordable mechanicals spread the passion. My first mech was a Vostok. And now I own a Tisell Epxlorer, which is a plain copy, much "worse" case than this Pagani Design. And if, as some people say, their quartz PRX doesn't hit the markers, I can understand...I also have another recent hit, the Casioak - which also doesn't hit the 20-second markers with its minute hand (in the bottom half of the dial) - I'm not worried, it looks nice, it works, it's a G-shock and it was affordable. I'm only worried about one thing: If the low price gives you anything you don't immediately lose the money. If in five years the regular maintenance (or repair, if it breaks before that*) is more expensive than getting a new one, perhaps it's better to get a japanese quartz for that money. *) Allegedly, with sub ~700$ watches it's cheaper to let the watchmaker put in a new movement than fixing the old one. I don't know where's the line where even that is, in practical terms, the worse financial decision.
This might be the only time there's a Pagani version of a watch I actually have so I MUST take this opportunity to be super snobby. Ugh... Crap... Such fakery... etc etc
This is the homage of another homage watch. Tissot made the PRX as a homage of the Ademars Piguet and now Pagani Design make the homage of the PRX. As I already have the PG-1673 the AP homage, I’m not intended to buy it cause I don’t use it much. But I think it’s a good watch for who likes both of watches. BTW Great video as aways. Cheers

@@JasonTheWatchGuy Meanwhile Casios line up most of the time! I have both the MRW-200H and the Duro and it hits the second markers.
That’s Swiss accuracy nowadays.
Laughable.

Indeed.
I’ll take a Japanese watch over a Swiss one without hesitation, it’s a value for money thing.

They’ve made some waffle dials before not sure why they skipped it on this
Hello Jason! It looks good and another great review ! I hope all is good for you ! cheers 👍
Thank you John! Much appreciated. All good here, hope you're doing well 👍
Really nice watch and a great review I have been looking at this recently so always good to see a detailed review.
After seeing the review, are you a buyer?

Thanks for the review. Nice watch!! Cheers from Atlantic Canada!!!
Thank you my man! So overdue a visit to Canada
That green dial...for god sake! Dial legibility is brilliant as well. Superb watch, well done Pagani
Nailed it!
Good looking watch..and the green dial does really pop jason..great review as always..👍👏👏
I agree, theyve really nailed it with the texture and colour. Thanks man
love your aliexpress reviews keep em coming. im in the look out for a new watch and what in your opinion is the ultimate aliexpress watch.
Thank you pal, its appreciated! I have so many favourites but I think the ultimate would have to be a San Martin in whatever takes your fancy...the finishing is just incredible
@@JasonTheWatchGuy cheers buddy, I'll give san Martin AliExpress store a good going over 🤜🤛

I really like a few PD watches but I can't get over the branding. That name Pagani Design just ruins it for me lol Great video though!👍
Like it but think the bezel looks too thick, making the dial look small
The chapter ring being a separate part won't help that either
My complaint as well. I went with a different PRX homage and it looks close enough.
Hey Jason! I would really consider this watch, maybe they will make another dial colors?😁 Thanks for the review!
I hope so, the chronograph version has been released so hopefully after them
Just wish they would drop the text and just go with the applied logo.Great review
I think that for certain models but others I kinda like it
Pagani Design could have made this design their own only of they made this (and the chrono version) in 38mm, a more accessible size which the Tissot PRX and other watch brands carrying the same design profile fail to offer.
Unfortunately it's a theme with Pagani, almosts and could haves
I think it's good to have this option.
Does it pinch because it's too tight on your wrist?
Or you mean it pulls hairs?
Not while I've been wearing it...that is a real concern considering the lack of micro adjusts though
It's a beauty. I have the black Chronograph PRX on it's way and got it for 60 dollars. Could i order straps that are meant for Tissot, that would fit mine?
I'm not completely sure, I'd have to measure the lugs and externals to the original
PD would get record sales if they could manage a waffle dial.
Is it me or is the PRX a Royal Oak but with a round dial?
Minus the screws etc you wouldn't be far off
Theres an accurist that looks V similar and is a better buy imho....Ended up getting the PRX mind....
I've seen the accurist, reminds me a little of a Vacheron in some ways
You should get the Accurist in for a review
Why would you need over 100 m water resistance? You can literally free dive with this watch.
I really like this watch green dial
It's a beauty

😅😅😅 Can't say no to the temptation
I don't know with this one, it doesn't look the same and the colors don't match.
Some changes yes and the textures are also different to the original, little less subtle
Won't buy any bracelet watch without microadjustment furthermore. It is a hit or can't ever wear it comfortably.
Thats completely fair
Id take the Tissot over this anyday even if i have to save longer!
This is the homage of another homage watch. Tissot made the PRX as a homage of the Ademars Piguet and now Pagani Design make the homage of the PRX. lol The PRX is not a homage of the Audemars Piguet!
Who told you that the PRX is an homage of AP? Educate yourself first before making ignorant claims.
Yeah, that's not true.
Man…sort out that silly accent 🫣
