    I also have a supertop that i swap on when i need more dry storage than my tonneau. The Velcro alone didnt keep the front edge of mine down.. bought 3 small C-clamps (that you twist to tighten) and use one on the left/right/center on the front tie down rail. Just in case you run into that issue.

    Mount your PowerTank on a bed mounted, angled bracket for better access and clearance (my truck has a hard tonneau cover and allows my tank to stay secure underneath)

    I have the bestop supertop for Truck 2. I see some different things going on. The front window in mine secures inside a track on the front frame of the top, so no tape. Really that and a little different looking support system. I really don't see much of a reason to upgrade to the new version, the original looks just as good, IMO. I will say the clamps that secure the top to the truck bed are more intrusive, sticking further out, on mine, think your clamps are much better.

    Don't let the Bestop rub any part of the paint/wrap on your truck...Use a black sharpy for a quick touch up...The weight of the axe or shovel might rip the screws out of the bar.

    So I have a hard topper right now that I use for camping on my Taco, and I'm considering going with a soft topper because the hard topper is a PITA to take on/off. But do these soft toppers prevent against dust and stuff as well as a hard topper?

    • @hungrybear1
      @hungrybear1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just my got SnugTop shell last week onto my 2015 Tacoma. Real PITA if you don't have others helping you take it off and on. Also looking into soft toppers now lol

      My 1st long haul trip from az to Montana not to bad light offroad use(mainly camping) maybe 5-6 miles in dirt. Last scouting trip we did about 30 miles in the desert/mountains south of Tucson and I had shit tons of dust that crept in. Mainly notice it on the windows(could be static?). this was over 3 days in the desert driving behind other trucks so I can’t really complain. It’s 99% water tight in the rain this is also a bestop supertop I can’t speak for the softopper I still wouldn’t trade if for a hard shell

    • @Handl3sAreStupid
      @Handl3sAreStupid 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@unit3edkarnage Good to know! I live in AZ, so shit tons of dirt is pretty much the norm around here. Virginia and most of the rest of the US have way less dust, so I imagine it's less of an issue there. I guess I'll have to deal with the hassle of a hard top lol
