Is the force required to type less I have arthritis
this one is light so it's good :)
I am getting these soon for my Keyboard for work (probably mod the case too). Do you know how do they feel in terms of lightness and tactile bump compared to the Cherry MX Browns or Akko Lavender Purple Pros?
Hey. It's like an mx brown but silent. It's just right, good for long hours of typing :)
@@jtechmkb That's great! Will be buying it then. Thank you!
@@jierenzheng7670 welcome. Hope you enjoy :)
@@jtechmkb I'm getting a cheap keyboard which I will be modifying the case to lower the height and using it for work. Hopefully my experience will be better than my AKKO Penguin Silents on my Keychron Q6
What do you say, more tactile than MX Browns or Blue? or nah?
MX Brown has light tactility and the blue is a clicky switch. If you want a strong stactily I suggest you get the Gateron baby kangaroo/quinn or the WS heavy tactile (black) switch :)
Nice! Thanks for sharing it! They sound very good for the price! 🙂
Yup, the sound of silence. 😆 btw, I am really liking the op1we. I find the switches heavy but way better than X2V2's. Is the green switch way lighter than the stock?
@@jtechmkb Hehe!😂 Nice, that you like the OP1we. Believe me or not I still didn't try the other swicthes. I will try to make a short video soon about it. But I am busy with other reviews, like Sora 4k and many more... I will try to find a way to create a short next week regarding this switch pack from the OP1we 😅
A friend gave me his. He felt that sometimes the switches would brake on the way back. Testing it I felt the same way. Looks like the force it does when you are removing your finger is not enough to pass the tactile point or something. Maybe the force you need to apply on the spring is too low compared to the bump. Just felt clunky to me. I'm buying some Red Panda's, let's see how that goes.
Thanks for the video! I loved the format
Thank you Gabriel! Looking forward to your red panda experience. I heard akko's got a new silent switch "penguin"? you might want to consider trying that too.
I didnt really notice any "catch" on the way back, however I did notice that the switches are quite scratchy. And as you mentioned, it's most likely because of the switches spring. I wonder if it'll sound better if spring swapped with a single stage heavier spring
Edit: Tested it with a single stage 65g bottom out spring, quieter now, no more scratchiness or "catch" as you mentioned. Apparently the springs are 50 +/- 5, but it seemed like it was lacking as it was a long spring so really it was feeling more like a 30g/40g when actuating.
Now it's super fun to type on and bouncy, will probably work very well with a gasket mount keyboard
@@leinardesteves3987 That's really nice to know. Thanks for sharing this. I might try it as well. :)
@@leinardesteves3987Oh, you can't really feel it while typing. It's more for gamming when you keep pressing a key and slightly lift your finger just to press it again. The force is not enough to push your finger enough
@@GabrielLima-pi4kw yeah it's likely the spring weight. It's a super long spring on only 50g, for context very long springs have a softer top actuation, and then springs back harder. So if you're using it for gaming or typing fast like I do, you're likely not bottoming out a lot so you only really get 30-40g. Atleast that's what I think is happening.
Swapped them with 14m 60g TX springs and they feel and sound a lot better
not mushy?
I think almost all silents are mushy bec of the rubber.
