- Just someday randomly/accidently saw a Fan-made of Code Geass' alternate ending, and decided to share it to all Code Geass Fans...

Frankly saying, this video is just me changing the picture, with adding BGMs that i feel it is nice to hear. Surely, I'm not the one who draw this comic, nor come out the idea of this ending's story. I'm just make this Clip base from like i said, a long Image that i accidentally saw before.

Death wasn't C.C.'s true wish though. Her true wish was to be loved. If you remember, when she pushed away Charles when he was trying to give her death, as Lelouch was yelling things at her that proved he cared for her. Still, very neat fanfic. I honestly wouldn't mind if this is how it ended, so we could get a third season.

Chocomunchie Yeah same a 3 or 4th season would have been great and this could have pulled and also would still give you that typical plot twist this series gives. Not only that but a whole new set of character for bonds to become and to build i would actually would have preffered this over the real ending

I like this ending. I think it's great how people undertanad that they can create their own ending to any story. It doesn't have to be what the original ending was. This was a great ending!

After Changing L to R how should it be in japanese and changing C.C. to original C2 you got R2, facts about how code is working end with this and also many other sugestion are there like title of ending song (continued story), words of C2, place where she ride at the end scene and few others - there is nothing to prefer, there is only one real ending :)

I believe that lelouch had the code, and he was the one driving the cart at the end, as some of you may know. Llouch had the code since his fathers death but the code doesnt activate before the person dies, like Lelouchs father who was able to activate his code when he killed himself after that lelouch used his geass on him to die. The same with C.C, the nun had to kill her to make the code activate and then the nun died. And when lelouch gained his fathers code, it didnt activate before he died, and after suzaku killed him, he activated his code, doing it able for nunnaly to see some of his past when he died. And then, his geass dont work anymore because he now have the code. So i believe now that C.C and Lelouch is now having an eternal life together. Happy end..

honestly if feels kind of forced. the real ending was much more clever and it had lulu and cc together, alive and on the hey cart. plus the real ending was much much more clever as it forced you to piece together the clues scattered across the show to prove that lelouch is indeed the one driving the hey cart.

***** no i love the themes and everything about the show (except the swimsuits and kallens unnecessary objectification.) but in my mind with the lelouch lives theory it means we just might get a sequel.
So CC's wish was not to die, but to truly love someone.
I think I would have liked this ending, and not because it would imply a sequel, but because it shows that after everything is said and done, the world keeps moving forward, and that there isn't always a happy ending.

It's not bad, I don't hate it. It's just different, it's so different it's making me feel different emotions I've never felt before. Like a little pit in my stomach but still not a negative thing.

Actually lemme explain how the ending truly works. After Lelouch killed his father Lelouch took Charles's code and kept his geass until he died fulfilling the zero requiem. That is when he became immortal. In the original anime, when CC was on the carriage, when she said "Right, Lelouch?" It cut to the pilot of the carriage and it was Lelouch under the straw hat.

Ehm wasn't it obviously fake? Lelouch face being perfect triangle (look at lelouch and tell me his face is perfect triangle -.-) audio wasn't well synchronized with the face, plus the audio sucked. The television water mark was gone and him appearing for a whole second with just 2 frames? Really 2 fps?

People, when you get the code you lose Geass but that's only if it was the person who gave that individual Geass, when Charles tried to strangle Lelouch, he accidentally passed on his code so this ending could be very well possible
Thats actually not true, the reason why he didnt lost the geass was because the code was dormant, in order to the code wroks, the person that has it must die once whit it, only after that the code will take his geass and make him immortal, this is further proved by looking at both C.C and Charles, in C.C case there is a episode that you can watch the moment the nun pass's her code to C.C then she killed C.C and killed herself. Same for Charles, the reason Lelouch geass worked on him the first time they met in C world was because Charles code wasnt active at the moment, only after Lelouch order and after he shooted himself, Charles gets up whit a new power, the power of immortality
DHellH Isn't it when your Geass reaches and amount of strength, that you receive immortality? Like Charles was already immortal. Lelouch/Charles couldn't have activated Charles immortality because the only way that would work was if V.V. had killed him...So you receive immortality after using your Geass a certain amount of times.
Not so, V.V did indeed pass the code to Charles, there is a episode where C.C states that, when she saw V.V dying near the portal, plus there isnt any condition that states that the holder must be killed by the previous one. I think you are confusing whit the fact that the code can be passed by killing the current owner, to the activation there are only 3 conditions to get imortality:
1- Geass max power
2-Having the code
3-Dying
DHellH Charles surely would have known this then and had probably previously killed himself. It makes sense right? And yeah, I'm currently re-watching the show as I didn't finish it a couple of years back.
The thing is that Charles already had the code whit him, so in a way he is already immortal, cauze the next time he dies he will revive as a true immortal, but until that happens he can still use his Geass, so killing himself sooner would only means that he would lost his Geass sooner and he may still need the geass later. In a way, Charles as no need to rush cauze he already has all the important pieces to activate the code so his life is protected no matter what.

L.L. in Japanese can also be pronounced R.R. Plus, half the series is called "Code Geass R2". So R.R. makes a lot of sense. XD

This is soo true...C2, knowing that lelouch already have the emperor's code and that he became immortal because of it, C2 will never do such a childish thing...she will never let her emotions carry her away and ruin lelouch's plan...she know for a fact that after lelouch was killed he will still live on, and she doesn't have to worry living another eternity alone because they are both immortals already, PLUS THIS ENDING WILL RUIN THE ANIME's WONDERFUL STORY...what for did is lelouch's death if another rebellion will come?!?!?

If the emperor's code that you are talking about is what makes them immortal, then I wish to say that lelouch never obtained the code. As far as I know, only two codes existed, one that the emperor had, and the other is C2. C2 obvious didnt give her's in the anime, and charle's disappear with him, when in dissipated in C's world. The proof is that lelouch still retained his geass, the emperor's code should have replaced it if he had gotten the code
Xuong Vuong If you watch the ending of code geass over you can see Lelouch transfer memories to Nunally through touch. After that she realizes that the death was Lelouch's plan after all. Remember how C2 could do such things by touching people? Only people who bear a code can do such things and Lelouch being able to transfer those memories to Lelouch confirms that he has a code. You also have the rules of the code wrong. When you attain a code while still alive and in possession of geass, that code doesn't activate until you die. Do you remember when the Emperor stole the code form V2? Lelouch used his geass on the Emperor and made his kill himself. After that the code activated and the Emperor became immortal. The same went for C2. If you remember correctly the nun also killed C2 to force the code onto her. The same went for Lelouch. After he was killed by Zero (Suzaku) his code activated and allowed him to transfer those memories to Nunally.
Your right, afew scenes at the final episode makes sense if you think of it that way, but still I cannot be sure since I have no concrete proof that explains about the code of immortality, so I am still thinking this is just a possibility. Do have some sources for it, I would love to sort out everything since I serious love this anime :)

a) I think lelouch should be alive with the code which according to me he received from his father's death. but he should finally live for himself now.
b) c.c deserves someone to love her who is not under the control of geass.
c) I want lelouch ending up with c.c since the last 2 girls he loved end up dead because of him. he's the hero. let him catch a break

+Pokephira That's what the UFN is doing, remember? Permanent renounciation of war and all state militaries were amalgated into the UFN forces. Also, Nunnally is Empress now working with Suzaku and the other politicians, and the political environment won't exactly favor a world war anytime soon (now, ethnic cleansing and genocide of brittanian colonists in say, Japan yeah I can see that shit happening)

This is actually a lot better ending that the original one. Come to think of it - he really breaks C2's contract by dying and so this fanfic ending appeals a lot more to me than the original one, plus we all know that whatever men do, peace can never last forever. Very nice ending opening doors for further season. So glad i came across this video lol and that long hair from lelouch :D R2 ... Epic!

This would be a good ending if lelouch didn't already have code if you remember his father killed v v and got code on his hand then after lelouch received geass in both of his eyes they started to fade away... but before he died he grabbed lelouch 's throat with the hand and therefore lelouch killed his father and received code. I know your going to say you can't have code and geass at the same time... but lelouch could only lose his geoss and receive code by killing cc and because she still lives he still has geass and at the end cc is on the wagon and it appears she is talking to her self or the sky and there is a man with his face covered but when she says "Right Lelouch?" She slightly tilts her head backwards proving that Lelouch Lamprouge still lives.
And in the original version of the show they actually show Lelouch (well the bottom half of his face) giving a smirk and driving the wagon then go to the origami crane. So Lelouch is definitely alive and most likely received code from his father. For some reason that scene of him smirking was removed later on and in the dub or whatever.

It means Lelouch Lamperouge, (ルルーシュ・ランペルージ, Rurūshu Ranperūji). Actually, it is quite interesting to note, that the second season of Code Geass is also named Code Geass R2 ( R.R?)

R3 is coming out, but from what I've heard it's more of an alternate series than a continuation. It's set in the European warfront in 2017-18 a.t.b with a group of Japanese troops (or E.U troops) going behind enemy lines to rescue their comrades. Some characters bear resemblance to people from R1 and R2, but I don't know if it gets tied into the events in Japan. Still looking foreward to it though

It probably has something to do with either requiem or rebellion since it said at the end "a new rebellion begins" but it may has something to do with both as there's a possibility of it being a new beginning of a rebellion as well as a requiem ... Other than that it may be a random name

For any fans of 'Lelouch of the Rebellion' who want a bit more of the story, there are a few other series, notably 'Akito the Exiled' a slow releasing anime set in Europe between season 1 and R2, then a load of manga: 'Shikkoku no Renya' which is a bit strange, with it being in the Edo Period, Knightmares being modified humans and Geass being a bit odd, but it's enjoyable. 'Nightmare of Nunally' which is an alternate story to 'Lelouch of the Rebellion' written by the same author. 'Suzaku of the Counterattack' which follows Suzaku through the same time period as Rebellion. 'Soubou no Oz' which I just started reading thus don't know much about. then a 4-koma called 'Barcode Geass: Hanbai no Lelouch' about Lelouch working part time in a convenience store. Finally there is 'Hangyaku no Lelouch', which is set in Edo, with child Lelouch and Suzaku and Lelouch's geass instead summons Gawain (just in case someone doesn't know, Gawain is Lelouch and CC's large, black, two-seater, flying, Jackal headed Knightmare frame that they find in a cave (never really got that part)).

lol if you guys take a moment and think, lelouch rekt charless probably toke his code, planned the whole dying thing, etc. in fact at the very end of r2 episode 25 , he is the one driving the cart! so he is alive, and a season 3 is possible with alot of thinking, like europe vs britania etc.

When the emperor was immortal, he was still able to use the Geass (probably some special type of code) and when lelouch killed him he probably inherited the same ability.

i'd say that this ending is close enouth to be on par with the real ending. it also points out the one issue that i had with the original ending which was that one day it would be broken as humanity is after all an eternal struggle.

@thetruthexposed100 I agree with you completely - Lelouch is dead, and to keep him alive would cheapen his final sacrifice.
However, if he -was- alive, I think this ending, with his immortality being unexpectedly forced on him, when he was willing to die, and then sealing himself away and becoming some inhuman legend, is probably the best alternate ending you could get, as it's still an ending that fits the rest of Code Geass.

It would be really nice if the blu-ray/DVD version for R2 could slot in an cool alternate ending such as this.

1) R.R. = R2, which was obviously the subtitle of season 2
2) In Japanese, L and R are the same thing - Lelouch Lamperouge is spelt Ruruushu Ranperuuji, so for Japanese people, L.L. and R.R. are practically the same thing.

It makes so much sense I can't believe they didn't do something like this instead of leaving me to wonder what R2 means (Round 2? As in Lelouch's second attempt after losing the first season?) It would also stop people calling Renya and Akito "R3" (you know, because it wouldn't make sense anymore, not that it makes any sense now mind you, but for entirely different reasons).

Not only is this actually very cool as an alternate ending (props for the dialog fitting into CG's style! Very nicely done), I would love to see this become canon in the actual series. But instead of C.C. dying, they could go off of Lelouch surviving his staged death.

they should just leave CG as it is. the ending was fine, but this is a cool concept for all the "Lelouch-is-alive" fans.
