Dick Grayson is easily the most underrated character in DC. People tend to assume he just knows what Batman taught him, but he lived with the Titans for years. He trained every day with an Amazonian, Atlantean, speedster, sorceress, living machine, and Green Arrow's protege who himself also had Checkmate training. He has more experience, training, and natural physical ability than the other three combined.

Honestly that's why did Grayson is always destined to be the second Batman! Because the other Robins are far better than him in specific categories. But dick best represents Batman in that as you stated he's an all around character not better then the robins that came after him and specific categories but better than them in the categories are not as great in. Jason already disqualifies himself because he can't rein in his ruthlessness. Tim is a great detective but when it comes to the Batman there's more than being a great Detective. In the same can be said with Damien who is a much better fighter thanks to of course all his training and all that s*** with the League of Shadows. But of course his dad was more than just a great fighter. I mean Batman admits many times there are other superheroes who are much better in the detective category then he is. He is a great Detective let's not get that wrong. But I'm figuring he's acknowledging that he has the help of technology to make it a bit easier which is why Bruce acknowledges others who don't have the advantages he has with his technology as Superior. Especially Tim who is a good detective even without the technology how the technology makes him even more scarier to his foes! But as I said every Robin has a strength and weakness. But Dick Grayson is the best qualified the Takeover for Batman as a second Batman. I think that's why Damien works well as his Robin because he still has a lot to learn before you can take the mantle as the third Batman! But I guess that's the point of being Robin. Tim becoming Red Robin is more of him doing what dick did and finding his own path, basically becoming his own Nightwing!. And Jason's never going to get over what the Joker did to him, especially since he's going under Joker's old alias , so again doing his own thing.

Damian is the most skilled think about it he’s got Bruce’s and Ghul’s genetics he’s also genetically speaking perfect, he’s also skilled in combat by the league of assassins, efficient in planning, hacking, detective skills, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The whole reason why the new animated version of Damian is so loved is because he’s essentially a mini Bruce with enhanced genetics, which is why he ends up becoming the next Batman in that continuity.

As an avid reader of the Robin title in the 90s, there was plenty of proof to be had. This video didn't come right out and spell it, but I trust their knowledge on comics over my own for sure.

To me the one true robin is always dick grayson. He was my favorite growing up and his fighting ability is only matched by some of this universes greatest fighters like batman himself, lady shiva, and deathstroke. His acrobatic fighting style is cool and unique but he also has the kindness and heart of a true hero

Dick Grayson is the most skilled. Jason Todd is the most aggressive fighter. Tim Drake is the best detective. Dick Grayson has a balanced mix of the two. Damian up there in combat and detective work with Dick Grayson, but Dick is what I view as an actual hero. I'd put him second behind Dick Grayson for now.

I think JT is more than proficient in all areas and can hold his own but a master of none; and that’s what makes him so dangerous, lethal or unpredictable. Damien is arguably more ruthless, but JT is just a wild card.

And I believe it was said somewhere that since Tim is likely the least naturally talented Robin, that he had to learn more skills to compensate for it.
Tim had to learn so widely since he probably is the worst fighter of all the Robins. He's not the natural acrobat of Dick, isn't as decisive and brutal as Jason and lacks the ninja like stealth and killing instinct of Damian. Tim has to be a jack of all trades and master of all to stay on the level of the others.
So yeah, I'd say Tim has far and away more skills.

Damian's probably the most skilled just because he was trained to be an assassin and will kill if necessary. I'm talking about fighting in general cuz that’s typically what people refer to when you're talking about skill but Tim is definitely the smartest.

I think as a combatant, he will probably be the best. But he kind of lacks some of the skills batman has. Being a hero is more than just being fast and strong it's about problem solving. Tim is probably the best at such. Dick coming second. I think dick and Tim are the most well rounded. Hell, image in Tim had the natural physical talent Damian or dick had. He'd be unstoppable.
He's easily the best detective, but by no means do I think he's the most skilled fighter, I'd wager that he's probably the least skilled fighter, but definitely the smartest, by far.
My personal favorite is easily, without a doubt, Jason Todd, Red Hood, he and Tim actually seem to get along the best out of all the Robins, with them even sharing breakfast together in one of the Red Hood and the Outlaws issues.

I just love how different they are. It’s not copy and paste. My favorite is nightwing, you just cannot not like the OG. Plus if dad ain’t around he’s in charge. Also he’s all around a perfect hero. Best Robin is Grayson. Nobody had banter to irritate criminals like he did. You all seem to forget how important that is. Also Tim may surpass him in the detective field, but Nightwing is also trained as a detective, martial artist, and was a natural acrobat. He's also proven he can do Batman's job in a different city by himself with only a fraction of the resources. None of the others have done that. Jason is the only one close but all he managed was a few dead mafia capos, in Gotham, when they were expecting someone of a more bat like variety. The crooks in bludhaven weren't scared until Nightwing came along.

I think Dick is the most skilled Robin, as he competes with Batman in terms of acrobatics and martial arts, and surpasses him in terms of leadership. However, Tim is only competing for the terms of detective skills.

I feel that comparing them all with their robin stages, Damian would probably be the most skilled. He’s shown to be highly intelligent, not near Timothy, yet he shows that up with his ability to outshine the others by far combat wise.

I used to be Team Dick, but over time I started to appreciate Tim Drake even more. I wont write a whole lot about why I like him, but right at the beginning of his Robin career, Tim said those famous lines about Robin being an essential and necessary part of Batman. That its Robin who pulls Batman to the light, so that he never gets lost. The thing is Tim knows what Robin is supposed to be, what Robin means to Batman;
that to me, elevates him above the rest.
It’s a shame we have not yet seen Tim in live action (although we’re about to, since they’ve already cast him for titans).

His entire argument was poorly framed and has inaccurate information. Also yes, the title was misleading. That said, Damian has had his butt handed to him by every single other Robin... As for Jason, I'd rank him second in terms of skill, as he has beaten Tim on numerous occasions.
