Nintendo definitely made compromises to make the Switch portable, balancing battery life and performance, but based on some games like Skyrim, The Witcher 3 and Doom running on it, it's still pretty impressive...especially in handheld mode.

One of my absolute favorite physical releases was Knights of pen and paper 1 and 2 released in a dual pack. I'm so glad I picked up these great games when I did because they are unfortunately pretty expensive now. I also picked up the physical release of The Messenger, the dual physical release of the Oniken and Odallus collection, Fox n' Forest, Psikyo collections 1 and 2 (I still need to pick up the 3rd collection), The Capcom Belt Action Collection, and I've already secured the physical releases of the Darius home console Collection and the Darius Arcade Collection which release 1st quarter next year. All of these I've mentioned are physical releases that I'm very happy to have in my collection forever and would recommend anyone to take a look at.
GRIP grew on me. Once someone on TH-cam advised gamers on how to tweak the graphics settings to eliminate the blur and a few other settings, I had a great time playing it. Grip was my go-to racer until I got my hands on the Gear Club physical releases and eventually GRID: Autosport. EDIT - you forgot to tell the viewers about the DeLorean paid DLC, man! That just came out about three weeks ago!
No video from the basement! I can tell you're working in adverse conditions right now. Likely because of the move. But this limitation seems to have actually brought out some additional editing ideas and tricks. I like it! Would love to see a blend of more editing like this as well as the "Face cam" footage once you get set up again!
At this point the Switch is my favourite console to collect for. Waiting for some of these new retro shooters like Ion Fury, Amid Evil, and Dusk to get their Switch editions. Also the enhanced classics lineup physically for Switch is just heart warming Turok, Baulders gate etc. That said when we get physical versions of games where we end up having to download over half the game like all the Mega Man collections and Spyro they stick out like gaping wounds.
There are so many great smaller and/or less well known games that get physical releases for the Switch. Just this week I picked up Deadly Premonition Origins, Slay the Spire, Risk of Rain 1+2 and Bubble Bobble 4 Friends. I really hope that physical console games still have a long life ahead of them.
Who could imagine you and your wife would be moving to a new home and you would have access to games like The Witcher on the go? That's what the Switch does to us gamers!!

I really like the new trend of bringing old PC game collection to console with new UI, control, AI and what not for new generation of player to discover! Definitely gonna get the Baldur Gate collection, i remember playing Dark Alliance when I was young and that was a super fun game, tough as hell, but fun non the less :)
Naming your Switch game "Grip". What accidental genius is this? My team and I are going to work on a game called "Travel Case". Be on the lookout for the sequel "USB-C Charging Cable" coming soon.
You might be able to pick up a physical copy of Celeste for the Switch at Best Buy! I got the last copy at my local Best Buy while Black Friday shopping last night.
Love....These.....Videos. Don't care what the haters say. I got the Ninja Saviors over a month ago and Valfaris a couple of weeks ago on the Switch, And they are both brutally hard. But I love them.
It’s awesome how you respect all games for what they are and don’t compare and talk bad about them. Review them for what they are and not for what they could be or what’s else is out and similar. Love these videos they’re awesome. Great job.

Hey Jason check out Sniper Elite V2 as well. Does not have some the of the refinement of 3. But I guess because 3 has more open area's. I hear that V2 does more graphical effects. It is looks pretty on my Switch. I live it.

Overall favorite is the Collection of Mana to me, because I waited sooooo long for a translation on Seiken Densetsu 3/Trials of Mana. Preordered the remake as well.

"It's got that cool 3D look to it..." I have never been a fan of 3D and 2.5D sidescrolling games. I'm old school and I prefer sprite-based 2D games when it comes to sidescrollers. I wish Nintendo would continue their New Super Mario Bros games either using the SMB, SMB3 or SMW graphics in the Mario Maker games, or better yet, allowing players the option to play the game in the graphics style they prefer: SMB, SMB3, SMW or NSMB. I think the latter would be the best way to do it...How amazing would it be to be able to choose the graphics style you wanted?
I hope Evoland: Legendary Edition receives a US physical release. I love the transition from black & white 8-bit graphics to 32/64-but graphics. Unique!

I literally made a list of physical indie games on the Switch I wanna grab yesterday, THERE ARE SO MANY! A Hat in Time, Dead Cells and Hollow Knight first, super excited to play these.
Evoland looked interesting to me, never heard of it before and on switch it was 20$ but i decided to also look on steam, and jackpot, the ultimate edition was on sale for 5$! with only 30 minutes left on the sale. I am currently playing it and i love it!

Unique!
Heavy Metal, Bad Assery
You gotta trade Mark that. 😂
Thanks Metal Jesus. Always love hearing about game that might’ve gone under the radar.
Evoland is definitely my top favorite game ever
Ufff! Thanks for reminding me that baldur's gate came out for the switch this year 🔥😎
More ps1 stuff lol and more upscaling videos. You are the only one who breaks down tech stuff so i understand lol and im trying to figure out how to upscale all my consoles. Ive managed to do a few with your videos. Thanks mjr! Been watching for like 6 or 7 years and i love your content!
I remember I kickstarted ( one of many people) Grip, and then could not play it on my previous computer three years back...lol
Screw The Net grips freaking awesome. I’m going to be starting a TH-cam channel on it haha. I have around 500 hours and the skill cap has gotten pretty high
MJ pleas pleas do best of horror on switch
Glad to hear your thoughts on Bulders Gate. I was actually not going to get it on the switch because of online complaints
Went and bought the Trine collection today. I figured why not spend the extra 10 for 3 more games. Thanks for the info I was on the fence about buying it until I seen this vid
Thx for recommendation, MetalJesusRocks. I want to suggest you to try "Alliance Alive HD Remastered", "Mary Skelter 2". I also preordered VA-1 HALL-A from limited run games. Have you tried River City Girls?
How can you find time to play all of these games? Man, I’m so overwhelmed by the amount of games being released. I keep buying games, but i barely have time to play :(
I love physical games, digital games are taking over but I will always buy physical games, especially nintendo ones! Definitely checking out sniper elite 3 aswell, thanks for the recommendation! Love your videos keep up the good work :)
I literally made a list of physical indie games on the Switch I wanna grab yesterday, THERE ARE SO MANY! A Hat in Time, Dead Cells and Hollow Knight first, super excited to play these.
"Dying, it's kind of what you do". Well, I'm sold!
Evoland looked interesting to me, never heard of it before and on switch it was 20$ but i decided to also look on steam, and jackpot, the ultimate edition was on sale for 5$! with only 30 minutes left on the sale. I am currently playing it and i love it!
Great list of games. Also updated info on Grip. I will go back and play it now.
