It’d be nice, but it’d probably never happen, unless Warner Brothers decide to be nice, but even then, it’d probably only come with a knife, because Warner Bros have to be a pain, and tell McFarlane “NO GUNS”, how are you gonna tell the creator of Spawn, no guns? Sorry, i’m just rambling. It’s a good idea, though!
I don’t think WB owns the likeness rights for Nicholson as Joker for merch, which is why only Hot Toys and Mezco ever made one that uses his likeness, since the premium price point allows them to pay Nicholson directly for the rights. They definitely have the rights for Ledgers likeness though, so it is a no brainer, but WB probably doesn’t want them to make stuff based on old movies and would rather just have them do things for the new products. For Phoenix though I have no idea if they have likeness rights or not, since the Joker movie as a whole had basically no merchandise, probably to separate it from other comic book films; which while I get is a real missed opportunity for a line like this aimed at adult collectors, especially since it would easily sell like hot cakes
@@MechaSandvich Pretty sure the main reason there was almost no merchandise for the Joker is because WB expected it to be a fail. They expected the Joker Movie to be just a waste, and thought it wouldn’t get big or popular. But considering it did, I think it’s way more likely for WB to be like, “Hey, we didn’t expect the movie to be as popular as it was, but we can still milk that movie for money considering it was way bigger than we expected, and maybe it’s not too late to start making merchandise!” Don’t know, though. It’s been a few years, and McFarlane starting makes Figures in 2020, it’s 2022 now, and we already know how big Joker was, yet still, nothing. So I don’t know, I think it’s a 50/50 sorta deal here, maybe it’ll happen because Joker was a success, or maybe it won’t happen considering how much time has passed since the movie came out and became big. However, I do think it’s more likely for us to get a Ledger figure, considering that here and there they still kinda make Heath Ledger stuff.
The Comedian Joker is my absolute favourite Joker figure. I’m gonna use him as my main Joker figure on my DC Villains collection I think what I love most about him is the shading on his face and the reflection in his eyes they just make him so intimidating and terrifying.
The Arkham Joker was the first Multiverse figure I got because I've been waiting for a well articulated version of that design for years. I do like it, but the face I feel could be better and the legs feel a bit blocky when posing him. The White Knight Joker I agree is the best and my favorite figure of the line. The articulation, accuracy to the source material and fun factor is insane, such a poseable and expressive figure. My one issue is the eye paint, one is a bit too small and high up on the head so I repainted it. I'd love a version in the Batman t-shirt and suspenders, that would be a fun figure. Swamp Thing and the Comedian Joker just released in the UK and I ordered them today, still waiting on the Clown Joker to release. I love the look of the Comedian and how stylized it is, but it's a very specific look for Joker with the coat and all that, whereas the Clown is more in line with my ideal Joker look, just with more pink. The head looks amazing, but I think it could've been closer to the comic that had the more curled hair and longer chin. I'm still waiting for that perfect classic comic Joker figure, I think the closest we've got is the Icons version but he needed a alternate head with no hat.
Really surprised by the order of this list. My top 3. 1. Arkham 2. The Criminal 3. White Knight. The Jokers seem to lean more towards the smooth legends style not my favorites from McFarlane.
As with your Batman and Superman your #1 is always some abscure version. I do agree this is good figure but I see it as Jack Napier figure with a Joker accessory. I would love to get Jokerbot face as a full head option.
I like the joker in police uniform too. It makes me thinking of the Batman movie when that happened, since i don’t read comics. I paired that figure with the Batman in a straight jacket, as a reversal of roles. Haha
I think my favorite McFarlane Joker is the Comedian/Killing Joke. Your #2. For me I rank more on what's gonna be on my "Main" shelf and the Comedian just has a presence and is such an iconic look that I can't help but put him with my "Main" Gotham City cast. There's just this intimidating feeling I get looking at him and that's why he's my number 1. I know I talked purely about looks but that's cause I don't feel that Joker is a character with a lot of "fun factor" because of who he is. That plays more into characters like Nightwing or Superman. Characters who I want to put into dynamic poses. Joker is one that I feel just looks good standing there, he the kind of character who isn't overly "dynamic" and purely fills the shelf with his mere presence. However the White Knight Joker is great too. I just don't put him up so high because although the "Fun Factor" is there and he looks great on a White Knight shelf I'm just not an overly big fan of the design/look and would never consider him as my "definitive" joker from the line so far. My "main" shelf is for my "definitive" version of a character and for me White Knight just isn't my "definitive" Joker. The Comedian on the other hand is a very different story.
This just reaffirmed I a have excellent taste in action figures the first TOY I picked up as a (sober) Adult was the white knight joker and I still fiddle with it to this day
Josh, Arkham Joker for me is #1. For fun factor, paint, accessories, and sculpt. The Three Jokers lack paint and except for Clown lack fun factor. If you put your thumb over Killing Joke what do you see less paint apps and nothing to distinguish his base body from this line mates. The white knight would be my #2. The second head and his execution made him pass the rest. I appreciate the ranking 👍
Makes sense to me, the Arkham Joker really is excellent. Every figure on this list has something great about it, one could make a strong case for any of them being number 1.
I repainted the red on the eyes of rebirth Joker with white acrylic and my love for the figure grew up, the Clown from 3 Jokers and The Comedian (Killing Joke) are my favorites. I didn't know the GTO Joker was that good, love the crouching pose you had him 🔥
Great video, although I don't agree with the list, in my opinion the Arkham joker would be third, the comedian joker second, and the clown joker, in my opinion, it has more characteristics that make the joker what he is.
😮...Casinos manager❗️❗️❗️😆Hahahahahaha❗️❗️❗️ That cracked me that fawk up...💯✔️ Anyways, what wave was the "Killing Joke Joker" from...❓️ Because today I gotta email from Entertainment Earth and they said that the other two Joker's were from Wave One, but I didn't see the "Killing Joke" one...🤷🏻 So I'm confused...👌🏼 I just wanna get myself a set of The Three Jokers...👍🏼
Everyone has their reasons for what they do & don’t like. I will keep it simple & agree that the Joker without a smile would be the least favorite, without a smile you’re no Joker. But my favorite is the MK Joker. He looks the most realistic & intimidating, all I had to do to make him nearly perfect was color his suspenders orange & his flower pink. Ta-da!!
I’m curious to see what McFarlane own design of Superman is going to look like and how it will fit in the line of the McFarlane design Batman and Wonder Woman 🤔
@@mrmola3295 yeah they both are rather unimpressive tbh and I bet he will go crazy with the over textured outfit and spikes and stuff on Superman and a weird hair and face sculpt. Hopefully I will be wrong. I got both his Batman and Wonder Woman cheap so I’ll get his Superman and whatever characters he makes hmm 🤔 his own take on the Joker and some rogues would be great
I just put the clown head on the rebirth body and called it good. I might get the comedian if I see him in the wild, but other than that I dont need another one
Would love to see a top ten multiverse figures across the brief History of the Line based solely on fun factor to date tossing out all other rules no limit on how many of one character , not leaving out BAF solely because it is a BAF … and if the figure is enhanced by combining a vehicle that came w it or not … a accessory that came w it or not such as the guitar w metal Superman or if its enhanced by simply having a scarecrow hanging off the back of it lol …. Doesn’t have to be cool to everyone or well known or a must just because you wouldnt be able to complete a Batman family and or hero or villain group without it No Holds Barred heck even if the top ten doesnt include a single Batman ( which yeah not likely lol) Just straight up MOST BANG for your Buck / FUN FACTORIFIC MULTIVERSE FIGURE / brings nothing but joy to not only the eye but simply draws you in , in a way that you can’t put it down and or maybe avoid eye contact with it.
We've gotten some good Jokers. We need a break. We need to dive deep into Batman's rogues gallery. We're getting a reinvention of the Arkham Asylum Killer Croc, and a Man Bat (that can't open his wings?! WTF?!), so we're mostly on the right track. I want to see McFarlane do a great comic inspired Poison Ivy, Professor Pig, Talon (William Cobb), and Scarecrow!! Those are right up McFarlane's alley.
It sucks how the three jokers have different designs from their looks on the comic, in the comic the criminal should be wearing the comedian's suit minus the camera, and the clown should have a more violet suit, plus his face sucks. The comedian joker could've been better if it was the version after the story with a more classic joker look since SPOILERS BELOW . . . . . . He was the OG Joker - So he deserves a more classic look and not the robed look similar to what he had on the killing joke comic
I’d love to see McFarlane do some ledger joker figures. maybe Todd could do Nicholson’s and phoenix’s as well.

I'm not a fan of McFarlanes movie/live action outings. I think he thrives in the comic space when it comes to figures

Thanks for the video! My favorite is MK one, I will give him more colors with golden sharpie though.
Good idea, with more paint I would have ranked the MK one above Rebirth.
Gotta say mortal Kombat joker is the most joker figure I think it’s just the perfect face and hair when I think of my favorite joker it’s him

DC rebirth joker was my first McFarlane figure in the DC line. My collection grew after that figure...👍
*Picks up my favorite joker figure*
“Alright I don’t think this is anybody’s favorite joker figure…”
Which one is that?

I like the intro. Huge reference to the greatest rival of the caped crusader.

I also have the MK 11 joker figure, the one I have has blood
My favourite is the clown joker.
I would like to ask where you find that small batman and batmobile that joker rebirth is holding...that is so awesome
