It's crazy how different chinese, Japanese and, Korean sound. When I was younger they sounded the same now that I've watched anime and listen to kpop you can clearly hear the difference.

When I was in China they were very racist and mistreated my family for being Korean so we had to stay in the hotel all day 💀 and like the only person that knew how to speak Chinese was my mom... so that helped us a lot but like when my non speaking Chinese family tried to talk they looked at us weird and they start laughing calling us Korean people... also they would scam us 24/7 will I ever go back?!!.... As a Chinese who can read a little Korean, it's sad to see so many negative comments (written in Korean) towards both China and Chinese people under this video in which most of the Chinese interviewees think Korean people are very nice.
I am a Korean. I do not like Chinese or Japanese government. However, I have Chinese and Japanese friends, I love Chinese and Japanese food, I like Chinese and Japanese music. I have all the love and respect for the people and the culture. I hate the politics behind all 3 countries.

When I was a college student , there were some Korean students in my university, they played football almost every weekend regularly, no matter it was raining, snowing, or in hot summer, which expressed me most. I think this why our national football team has always been defeated by Korean team.

I had many Chinese friends and met a lot of Chinese people and a lot of them were very nice, polite and humble. But unfortunately, I also met many Chinese people who were the opposite - they were salty and impolite or self-centred in a way that they had no respect towards the others in public (in the restaurant, Chinese people were shouting at each other about something). However, I cannot say that, despite seeing many impolite Chinese people, I hate Chinese. In the end, I also met many many many great people who are Chinese and those who I actually want to respect. I think what people said in this video is completely neutral and is somewhat a good reflection of what general Chinese people think of Korean people. I'm from China and have been studying in US for four years now. Most of my Chinese friends here including me have at least a few Korean friends and so I don't understand why people get so indignated in their comments. One way to stay intellectually neutral is to not trust news and media that easily and find multiple sources to gain perspectives before making a judgement.
This sounds like a very biased video. They mainly asked young, girls, who are clearly very much into pop/idol culture, so naturally they would have a positively biased view toward Korea. Try asking mature adult men or women, and I bet you'd get a much more nuanced set of opinions

As a Chinese, I think reunification of Korea is very hard. Only after China was defeated by the USA of USA is defeated by China in Asia, then it would be possible. The relationship between NK and SK is also a big problem for your country, I hope it could be solved in peace.

I am Korean. After looking at the comments in this video for hours, Chinese people also hate Korea a lot. In my personal opinion, I don't hate China much. However, the situation has worsened three years ago and now. The so-called "Han-Han-Ryeong" is also being implemented in China. As a result, China is a country that you can't get close to even if you want to. Many media outlets seem to hate Koreans more because they speak badly of them, but we are not such a bad people. What I want is for Korea and China to resolve misunderstandings and take a step closer. :)

I am a Korean. And I have many great Chinese friends! I love Chinese food, and I used read books about Chinese philosophers such as Confusius and Mencius . Although there are some issues between these 2 countries, I hope that all the problems between us will be solved happily and well with each other soon. China 👍
I'm from Spain. I study Chinese at a language academy that also offers Japanese and Korean. It's interesting to see the students' profile depending on the language they study. You can see people between 15 to 60 years old attending Chinese and Japanese classes due to a varied range of reasons (some need it for work, others study them at the university, others are just interested in these cultures), but the profile of Korean-language students is very specific. I'd say 98% are teenagers (girls) crazy about K-pop and K-dramas. That's their main motivation to learn the language. So it's fair to say Korea is doing a formidable marketing job regards to entertainment industry (Korean movies are also gaining followers gradually) . However it still remains to be seen wheather this success leads to a long-term interest in the country on a general basis.

My friend experienced that a couple of South Korean tourists act very loudly and impolitely in the bar and very annoying to the other customers. Maybe they were drunk or too excited. And the tourists were kicked out by the security guard later. The other customers complained about them. This happened about five years ago in Shenyang, China.
I think for the western country especially American, they like to see China, Japan and Korean dislike each other and keep gap & estrangement. For some political reasons.

I am a Kpop and Kdrama fan and I am an ethnic Chinese living in SE Asia. It is a tragedy that East Asians like China, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and South Korea don't really like each other. This region is fast overtaking the US/EU to become an economic powerhouse in the world with contribution of more than 38% of the world's GDP - which is more than US/EU contribution of 26%. Unfortunately they are still bickering on many political issues which caused them to be apart. What a shame. The irony is to an average American and European they cannot tell us apart and have a stereotypical prejudices against East Asians. But here we are fighting among ourselves on who is better instead of working toward unity and giving the US/EU a run for their money.

As a chinese malaysian i want to say that I love China,Japan and South Korea. I love China because i think that is where i originally came from. I am not a huge fan of any K-pop or K-drama (I haven’t even watched Descendants of the Sun and Goblin). But can’t agree with that Korean entertainment industry is not diverse. There are heaps of great singers, actors, and actress who are being loved regardless of how they look. Also, K-pop and K-drama are a part of Korean culture but being loved worldwide because many people especially love them. I just wanna say “it is not great to say Korean culture is limited to Idols or dramas while it’s you who have chosen to only listen to them and only watch them”

The culture I’m referring is that recent years Koreans are against Chinese New Year and call it Lunar New Year which is acceptable at first, but when you refuse to agree Chinese New Year, you call it Korean New Year at the same time to vague that Lunar New Year is come from China. And also about the issue of Hanfu and Hanbok.

adlerzwei It’s true South Koreans have more political autonomies. But not all Chinese agree with the Chinese government on all the political issues if u ask them. Most Chinese are just extremely apolitical and only think about salaries, real estate market, the education of their kids and indulge themselves with the daily convenience provided by Tech giants. China has changed a lot in last three decades. We are not living in the world of 1984 anymore. We are now living in the hybrid world of the Brave New World and 1984. Entertainment and convenience are so abundant. Most people just forget things like political restrictions. They just love all the easy things after a miserable day at work. But isn’t that the thing happening all around the world among the middle-class despite different levels of political autonomous they might enjoy. In terms of nationalist sentiment, I would say Chinese and South Korean are on the same level. Both can be extremely proud, defensive and sometimes arrogant.

yeah, the "original creator of everything" comment was a complete shock to me, and i'm Korean. i have literally never heard anyone in my country ever even imply that they think that. literally none of us think that. if anything, Chinese people think they're the center of the world and ACTUALLY had that as a mindset for a while. they like to think they're better than all other Asians.

As a Korean i have to say, Korea didn't have any anti Chinese tourism policies... In fact many tourism outlets specially target Chinese people and encourage them to visit as it's food for economy and soft power. I think what people said in this video is completely neutral and is somewhat a good reflection of what general Chinese people think of Korean people. I'm from China and have been studying in US for four years now. Most of my Chinese friends here including me have at least a few Korean friends and so I don't understand why people get so indignated in their comments. One way to stay intellectually neutral is to not trust news and media that easily and find multiple sources to gain perspectives before making a judgement.

I am Korean. After looking at the comments in this video for hours, Chinese people also hate Korea a lot. In my personal opinion, I don't hate China much. However, the situation has worsened three years ago and now. The so-called "Han-Han-Ryeong" is also being implemented in China. As a result, China is a country that you can't get close to even if you want to. Many media outlets seem to hate Koreans more because they speak badly of them, but we are not such a bad people. I'm from Spain. I study Chinese at a language academy that also offers Japanese and Korean. It's interesting to see the students' profile depending on the language they study. You can see people between 15 to 60 years old attending Chinese and Japanese classes due to a varied range of reasons (some need it for work, others study them at the university, others are just interested in these cultures), but the profile of Korean-language students is very specific. I'd say 98% are teenagers (girls) crazy about K-pop and K-dramas. That's their main motivation to learn the language. So it's fair to say Korea is doing a formidable marketing job regards to entertainment industry (Korean movies are also gaining followers gradually) . However it still remains to be seen wheather this success leads to a long-term interest in the country on a general basis.
Korea is just trash, only China and Japan are worthy of being East Asia.

My friend experienced that a couple of South Korean tourists act very loudly and impolitely in the bar and very annoying to the other customers. Maybe they were drunk or too excited. And the tourists were kicked out by the security guard later. The other customers complained about them. This happened about five years ago in Shenyang, China.

This region is fast overtaking the US/EU to become an economic powerhouse in the world with contribution of more than 38% of the world's GDP - which is more than US/EU contribution of 26%. Unfortunately they are still bickering on many political issues which caused them to be apart. What a shame.
The irony is to an average American and European they cannot tell us apart and have a stereotypical prejudices against East Asians. But here we are fighting among ourselves on who is better instead of working toward unity and giving the US/EU a run for their money.

Even though their country did have some tensions the people still love each other. In east asia each country hates each other. I just wish east asia would work together and become friends. I am not a huge fan of any K-pop or K-drama (I haven’t even watched Descendants of the Sun and Goblin). But can’t agree with that Korean entertainment industry is not diverse. There are heaps of great singers, actors, and actress who are being loved regardless of how they look. Also, K-pop and K-drama are a part of Korean culture but being loved worldwide because many people especially love them. I just wanna say “it is not great to say Korean culture is limited to Idols or dramas while it’s you who have chosen to only listen to them and only watch them”

The culture I’m referring is that recent years Koreans are against Chinese New Year and call it Lunar New Year which is acceptable at first, but when you refuse to agree Chinese New Year, you call it Korean New Year at the same time to vague that Lunar New Year is come from China. Back 10 years ago, I like Korea culture so much (I’m Chinese).But one day I getting insulted by Korean only because I’m Chinese. That turn down my impression so much. I’m a person that wish every country’s people can be friendly and nice. Less hatred can make the world better.

adlerzwei It’s true South Koreans have more political autonomies. But not all Chinese agree with the Chinese government on all the political issues if u ask them. Most Chinese are just extremely apolitical and only think about salaries, real estate market, the education of their kids and indulge themselves with the daily convenience provided by Tech giants. China has changed a lot in last three decades. We are not living in the world of 1984 anymore. We are now living in the hybrid world of the Brave New World and 1984. Entertainment and convenience are so abundant. Most people just forget things like political restrictions. They just love all the easy things after a miserable day at work. But isn’t that the thing happening all around the world among the middle-class despite different levels of political autonomous they might enjoy. In terms of nationalist sentiment, I would say Chinese and South Korean are on the same level. Both can be extremely proud, defensive and sometimes arrogant.

I've never heard that Koreans think they're the original creator of everything. And it's a bit generalist you say 'everything'. But there things that they're the original creator, like K-pop. Sincerely, I've never saw anything more incredible than K-pop choreography and the songs are so unique and dope. And yeah, I can't say the same about k-dramas cause it's a bit similar to mexican novels (😂😂). But it's the globalization, tho. For example, we have our own Brazilian novels but it was influenced by the Mexican Culture. and more... Almost EVERYTHING was influenced by the US. But well... It is it. Just the globalization!

yeah, the "original creator of everything" comment was a complete shock to me, and i'm Korean. i have literally never heard anyone in my country ever even imply that they think that. literally none of us think that. if anything, Chinese people think they're the center of the world and ACTUALLY had that as a mindset for a while. they like to think they're better than all other Asians.
Well actually many said that those korean netizens are saying/boasting that they created everything. The chinese have memes about korean people that "Koreans made the universe".

As a Korean, I would say - yes, Koreans DO like to be original of something, so we love Korean letter, the world's first inventions made in Korea and so on. And there DO exist some Korean people claiming that Koreans invented Chinese character - which is of course completely NOT true. But what Chinese people need to know is that this is not about "all Koreans."

@Lu Up I'm really sorry for those defectors and I truly understand how badly they will be treated after our government send them back but here are some issues you might be interested to know: 1. you do know that we are ally of NK right? even though our government dislikes the NK but sometimes political affairs is considered more important than these innocent people's lives. Our government is just doing what the NK asked us to do just because we are so-called ally. It a really bad thing I got to say. 2. China is so large and is with so many people, it is very likely that defectors from NK might never have a chance to be known by public or concerned by media. As I remember, I've never seen any media or individual journalist has reported anything about those defectors form NK let alone show any sympathy. 3. China is also a socialism country which means we ordinary people can hardly question or change the policy just like NK. Our main stream media are all state-owned. There are not only idols in Korea. There are many kinds of ballads, acceptance bands, etc. But only idols are popular abroad, so foreigners who don't know Korean culture think that Korean music culture is only idols. Also, idols are talented not only in appearance but also in singing and dancing.
South Korea have so many great people, in my opinion almost of all they are hard & smartworker, also they just honest with themself . I've been work on korean company for 5year and learn a lot from their characteristic... also I really love how they treat older people it's really such a great behaviour and one thing they are deep thinker for what they gonna have to do . it might be hard to understand their in advance but once you look at them and understand them you'll realize that they are give you more a valuable things, that all I've learn from south korean's people..

As a Korean i have to say, Korea didn't have any anti Chinese tourism policies... In fact many tourism outlets specially target Chinese people and encourage them to visit as it's food for economy and soft power. The Korean government doesn't have the kind of power over the people to ban stuff like China could ban Korean entertainment. I think the Chinese government and media often spread false rumors that hurt the relationship. For example, to say China and Korea's economic relationship is not well is a little ridiculous seeing that China recently beat out the USA as SK number one trade partner...

That's how it all starts. There are pros and cons to copying, but it ultimately helps the consumers imo. In a way, it forces people to constantly innovate.
