Thank you for posting this. I followed your steps and was able to repair my Insta 360 One R. The only thing I would add is that I was able to remove my damaged lens without using a hammer and breaking the glass. If you slowly and carefully work the blade of and xacto/craft knife several times until you remove the adhesive the lens comes off quite easily. It probably took about 5 minutes of working the blade around before the lens came off.
Thank you for your comment and suggestion! I only realized this after I knocked the glass off. When I remove the glass pieces, I found out the glass is glued to the edge of the frame. I should not knock the glass. But anyways, it is going to throw away anyways. Thanks again.
@@fsong00 I used a turbocharged lighter and warmed up the lens well, it peeled off perfectly and I didn’t have to break it, maybe this information will be useful to someone
Create this shorten link: surl.li/frxla Let me know if you can access. Or just go to Aliexpress.com and search insta 360 replacement lens, the first one it is.
Hitting a piece of electronics with a hammer is NOT a good idea. Like many have suggested, going around the lens with an X-Acto gets the job done. You just have to be patient.
anyone know how to replace the lens on the Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition? I think the lens is the same but the design of the 1 inch looks quite different so not sure how to open it up
@@clizzaudio I figured out how replace the lens by myself (sorry, forgot to document it). But, although the replacement seemed to go fine as far as I could tell, the replaced lens side is now a little bit out of focus/little bit blurry, so the camera is now unusable. Looked fine doing a few tests inside but when I came back from the shoot and checked the footage it was definitely a little blurry/out of focus. So wouldnt recommend a lens replacement! Something in the replacement I didnt do right I suppose but I don't know what.
@@clizzaudio I can't remember, exactly, sorry, but it wasnt as hard as I thought it would be. Some photos after I had removed the lens at that dropbox link might help, or not!
You shouldn’t use super glue, if you scratch the lens again and want to replace it you will have a hard time removing it it will not be able to remove it. You should use t7000 glue

I think 4k boost lens is very cheap and you can find it on the insta360 site to purchase separately.
Where did you buy the 360 lens?
it is from the aliexpress. But I saw Amazon also has the replacement lens

Waterproof working ?
This item is not waterproof even if it is original. If you want waterproof you need to buy X3.
Can you add the Link for waterproof restored cream
Link to the product please?
