This was a very good video because it seemed more of a challenge for Ray. Even though the guy believes he is a sinner and realizes he will not reach heaven he doesn't believe that he will go to Hell because of his Jehovah Witness background. He is just a spiritual renegade not submitting to the God of the bible or even with Jehovah Witness doctrine. I really think we should learn from this video and not ridicule Ray because he is trying to stay within the scope of presenting the Gospel within the bounds of the Way of the Master. People like the one in the video it takes more of a different type of spiritual conversation outside the scope of what Ray is trying to present. I am sure Ray could have had that conversation off camera. Bottom line his heart is not ready for the Gospel because he is a misinformed spiritual know it all. Im quite sure no matter what Ray said he would have some type of comeback because of the false teaching that has made his heart even harder to the truth. I applaud him for "following the Scriptures" (one plants, another waters, God gives the increase 1 Corinthians 3:6-8), Ray did what he was "called" to do so whatever happens, this man's 'blood' will not be on Ray's hands in the Judgement.

+ShadowLite You are right in that he ordered that in exodus 35: 2 to keep a day entirely for praising god because he was in their midst on the ark of the covenant so everything around him had to be holy with no sin, however since this wasn't possible he allowed for atonement by the death of a lamb so the person could be atoned for, however when jesus took the passover and then when he was crucified he died for everyone's sin thus becoming the last lamb. You still have to keep the sabbath day holy by honoring god on that day however there is no longer a death penalty since he died for everyone on the earth.

Ray has a lot of grace and wisdom to know when to cut off a conversation. I would have been tempted to keep arguing the point and try to change his mind but Ray has the experience and trusts that the Holy Spirit will convict if the individual’s heart is ready to know the truth.
The man was an ex-JW and taught false doctrines like hell not existing. Ray should have corrected him on hell, the trinity, and that salvation is a free gift not of works.

I wonder that sometimes myself. People tell others that they don't want them to go to Hell and they never mention what the Bible says about Hell. Take Luke chapter 16 for example. Jesus tells a story about a rich man and a servant who both die and though the servant goes to Abraham's Bosom, the rich man goes to Hell and he says that he's tormented in the flames.

He talks legit approximately 70 times about the Kingdom of God/Heaven and only 12 times about Hell. But since religious people eisegesis what they have been thought and read for instance these words, perish, destruction and fire (they read it as it is "Hell"). Even though we times these ones it is up to approximately 40 times(together with hell). But there is a problem, which many don't know. The word hell comes from Anglo-Saxon (or Old English) Helja(Helle Old Germanic). Which is same as Hades (a Nordic Mytology way to translate the Greek Mytology word Hades). So what is actually hell-fire? It is Gehenna-fire (in Greek) , which is actually comes from the Hebrew word Gehinnom (origin name: Valley of Son of Hinom(hebr: Gey Ben Hinnom), which is outside the Jerusalem wall, and *NOT* same location as hell/hades). So to be fully truthful in what Jesus Christ actually spoke about hell/hades/sheol in the 4 gospel books in his language was only *4 times* . Some days I don't know which is leading more people to destruction, Mormonism or JWs. So sad. He's been so indoctrinated, yet he's left his own faith. It's a perplexing conundrum. Here's the huge problem for people who consider themselves 'good'. To do some good things, yet to also look into the eyes of your eternal creator and tell him that you're going to do something, no matter how small, that he explicitly disapproves of, is the very definition of rebellion. And since all of our reality and existence is dependent on an absolute God, it means that a 'good' person is in absolute rebellion. A rebellious spirit, cannot fellowship with God in heaven. He ultimately deserves fellowship only among other rebellious spirits, like Satan who dwell in hell.
That was a tough one and many will see the other guys points. Isn't there scriptures that say people who commit sins will go to hell? Why didn't Ray share that? This guy needs to read that.

JW's are difficult to reach, especially Homosexual JW's...Ray should have quoted Rev 21:8, 2 Thess 1:8-9 and Matt 13:49-50 (easier said than done I know). How can you believe in Heaven and not hell they both exist but hell is a bad place to go it's full of suffering and pain. But Heaven is a better place to go because there's no more suffering or pain. And then sadly he deceives himself in thinking he has humbled himself before God by giving mental agreement to the fact that he's not perfect, yet he believes his works are and will contribute, that's the opposite of Mourning over your sin and realizing you are poor in spirit and stand guilty with mouth shut before a Holy God. He says he knows he is not going to heaven, yet he believes his "good" is helping. May God open his eyes and turn his deceived heart.
Most people on earth believe in heaven but not hell. And many people are in their head - applying logic to everything so much so that there is no room for God. Everything is subjective as this guy says. Right? Scripture is very different from all other literature. We cannot benefit from it by reasoning everything to death. We have to approach in humility and receive by faith only then we get revelation. No place for pride in Jesus. Living in Boston for 15 years, the ultimate college town, bursting at the seams with learned people, plus it is gay capital (remember we were the first state in the union to legalize gay marriage so for years, lots of gay couples moved to Boston hence a huge concentration even after it got legalized nationwide and many countries now) I was around this all day long. Liberal stronghold. A huge part of the population in Massachusetts are just like this guy, too much in the head and not enough in the heart. You cannot get even a word in there edgewise because they know everything. Their motto is, "I do what I want, when I want, where I want and with whomever I want," This is the definition of self-worship. When you are your own god. It was quite exhausting just being around it actually. I needed a break. I am glad God got me out of there with His righteous right hand. Thank You Abba Father.
That verse, the one that goes something like, neither fornicators nor adulturors nor idolaters and so forth.. that confuses me, because Christians say they sin all the time, they lust, they lie, and so on, so wouldn't that mean they don't inherit the kingdom? I personally have accepted Jesus as my personal saviour in the last year and I try not to sin, but my mind is just constantly bombarded with thoughts (that whole, if you tell me not to think about a red dog that's exactly what I'm gonna think about kinda things) and anyway its like mental torture, I ask God to help me have that knowing in my heart that he's there for me so I can finally have peace of mind but nothing happens, I still believe he exists more than I believe he doesn't but what am I supposed to do when I feel like he doesn't care about me? I want to ask people to pray for me but a part of me is just losing hope every time it doesn't work, I don't know I'm just confused and I wrote what I was thinking
Hey Francis, I will definitely be praying for you as you keep working with God threw your sin. I am very glad you have given your life to Christ in the past year! You excepting Christ as the savior of your life is actually the answer to your question. If you are living in any of the sins in that verse yes you won't enter the kingdom of heaven. However when you except Jesus Christ as your savior Jesus blood washes away all the sins of your life and when God looks at you on judgement day your sins will be covered by the righteousness of Jesus Christ you have been forgiven and God will grant you eternal life. +Francis Ward Hello Francis, Landon is right on, so I don't feel a need to add to it. What you are going through currently is Spiritual warfare. It is the devil's tricks to get you to feel less of yourself as if you are not worthy of God's grace. (Grace is, God's Riches At Christ's Expense. ) You will experience this and it will likely be followed by feeling inadequate to sharing the Gospel, praying in community in prayer at church, work, or even in front of your family. There are a number of things you will experience, and they are all normal. I would recommend heading to your local Christian bookstore and picking up a book on Spiritual warfare. There are a number of choices, Tony Evans just wrote one, I would be interested in reading myself. I read C.S. Lewis' fictional book called Screwtape Letters that I enjoyed. It is fictional but very relevant. I had to read 4-5 pages at a time and think about it, and apply it to my life. Of course the best book of all is the Bible. I recommend starting with the book of John if you haven't already. Francis I will leave it here for now. I would have to say that Ted knows his fate, at least being JV he knows that you cant just proclaim to be a saved person in the Messiah and not show it. Yes, there ARE different 'levels' of believers. Rev 22:11-15 is a prime example of this. There will be those called LEAST in the Kingdom under those called great. There isnt a "hell" like how main stream Christianity believes. They are giving satan exactly what he wants. Control over them, in a reign like the Most High. If a person really believes there is a place ran by the devil called hell and he tortures you there for ever and ever you dont know what your bible really says. Its says you are burned up...ashes to ashes...dust to dust. Ashes dont burn after they are burnt. Meaning, ,once your are burnt up that is IT...you are never to exist again, that punishment is eternal. Not the punishment of burning forever. To be fair, Tad wa right and consistent about one thing: If you're going to say we're not perfect and have tendencies to sin (I.e. "born sinners with a sinful nature"), then he has a good case for being a homosexual. Yes the sin is apparent, but next time try emphasizing why best of the best of the best doesn't exist. I feel way more compassion for his ignorance could have been gracefully displayed. I don't know, I just felt this was very....... There was room for more grace in this conversation, not to excuse the sin but to emphasize that his specific sin is not causal but consequential of a deeper issue. It's easy to call sin sin. There is a hell, and that is the common grave. There is Gehenna, and that is the Lake of Fire. Those are not the same things. Hell is not eternal punishment in torment. Hell is for everyone who passes. The Lake of Fire, however, is for the wicked, the unrepentant. And they are consumed forever (not tortured forever). That's why it's called "The Second Death." You die once and for all, never to exist anymore. If you read the King James version (Ray doesn't use the King James) you can see clearly where God destroys both body in soul. The other versions say "send both body in soul to hell" when King James says "destroys both body and soul..." The idea of hell that most of us Christians have is actually pagan in nature that was adopted by the pagan Catholic church. But the truth is to be tortured forever means to "live" forever... and that is impossible since God promises to "destroy" them so they do not inherit eternal life. Everything else is on the money. Jesus is God. Only His blood saves. Your works justifies your faith, but doesn't get you saved...etc. Jehovah's witnesses have some crazy ideas. It's a weird cult, and I've actually gotten a chance to study with them for 3 months and understand the weird and flawed doctrines they've adopted.
Actually, he is right, there is no hell the way that most christians have improperly interpreted it. However, on the other side, there is a resurection and second death for the lost. So on this part I disagree with this guy. When the lost are thrown into "hell" or the lake of fire, the destruction is complete and they no longer will have any part because they will be completely consumed. Remember, God is a consuming fire and sin cannot dwell with God. Sinners will be burned up because of this. It is the saved who will dwell in everlasting fire because God is everalsting. Ray, how about you drop the lies and just preach the first four chapters of Romans for salvation? Believe in Jesus and have faith in his blood, fully persuaded that God indeed will justify you when you do so. This was a very good video because it seemed more of a challenge for Ray. Even though the guy believes he is a sinner and realizes he will not reach heaven he doesn't believe that he will go to Hell because of his Jehovah Witness background. He is just a spiritual renegade not submitting to the God of the bible or even with Jehovah Witness doctrine. I really think we should learn from this video and not ridicule Ray because he is trying to stay within the scope of presenting the Gospel within the bounds of the Way of the Master. People like the one in the video it takes more of a different type of spiritual conversation outside the scope of what Ray is trying to present. I am sure Ray could have had that conversation off camera. Bottom line his heart is not ready for the Gospel because he is a misinformed spiritual know it all. +ShadowLite You are right in that he ordered that in exodus 35: 2 to keep a day entirely for praising god because he was in their midst on the ark of the covenant so everything around him had to be holy with no sin, however since this wasn't possible he allowed for atonement by the death of a lamb so the person could be atoned for, however when jesus took the passover and then when he was crucified he died for everyone's sin thus becoming the last lamb. You still have to keep the sabbath day holy by honoring god on that day however there is no longer a death penalty since he died for everyone on the earth.

Ray has a lot of grace and wisdom to know when to cut off a conversation. I would have been tempted to keep arguing the point and try to change his mind but Ray has the experience and trusts that the Holy Spirit will convict if the individual’s heart is ready to know the truth.
The man was an ex-JW and taught false doctrines like hell not existing. Ray should have corrected him on hell, the trinity, and that salvation is a free gift not of works.

What about what Jesus said about hell in the gospels? That probably would have been something good to bring up as in evidence for hell.
I wonder that sometimes myself. People tell others that they don't want them to go to Hell and they never mention what the Bible says about Hell.
Take Luke chapter 16 for example. Jesus tells a story about a rich man and a servant who both die and though the servant goes to Abraham's Bosom, the rich man goes to Hell and he says that he's tormented in the flames.

So to be fully truthful in what Jesus Christ actually spoke about hell/hades/sheol in the 4 gospel books in his language was only *4 times* .

Here's the huge problem for people who consider themselves 'good'. To do some good things, yet to also look into the eyes of your eternal creator and tell him that you're going to do something, no matter how small, that he explicitly disapproves of, is the very definition of rebellion. And since all of our reality and existence is dependent on an absolute God, it means that a 'good' person is in absolute rebellion. A rebellious spirit, cannot fellowship with God in heaven. He ultimately deserves fellowship only among other rebellious spirits, like Satan who dwell in hell.

Sadly the young man said he tells 1 "Legitimate" lie a day, well that's 365 a year times give or take his 30 years on earth, so he's clearly a liar, like everyone else. And then sadly he deceives himself in thinking he has humbled himself before God by giving mental agreement to the fact that he's not perfect, yet he believes his works are and will contribute, that's the opposite of Mourning over your sin and realizing you are poor in spirit and stand guilty with mouth shut before a Holy God. He says he knows he is not going to heaven, yet he believes his "good" is helping. May God open his eyes and turn his deceived heart.

Most people on earth believe in heaven but not hell. And many people are in their head - applying logic to everything so much so that there is no room for God. Everything is subjective as this guy says. Right? Scripture is very different from all other literature. We cannot benefit from it by reasoning everything to death. We have to approach in humility and receive by faith only then we get revelation. No place for pride in Jesus.
Living in Boston for 15 years, the ultimate college town, bursting at the seams with learned people, plus it is gay capital (remember we were the first state in the union to legalize gay marriage so for years, lots of gay couples moved to Boston hence a huge concentration even after it got legalized nationwide and many countries now) I was around this all day long. That verse, the one that goes something like, neither fornicators nor adulturors nor idolaters and so forth.. that confuses me, because Christians say they sin all the time, they lust, they lie, and so on, so wouldn't that mean they don't inherit the kingdom? I personally have accepted Jesus as my personal saviour in the last year and I try not to sin, but my mind is just constantly bombarded with thoughts (that whole, if you tell me not to think about a red dog that's exactly what I'm gonna think about kinda things) and anyway its like mental torture, I ask God to help me have that knowing in my heart that he's there for me so I can finally have peace of mind but nothing happens, I still believe he exists more than I believe he doesn't but what am I supposed to do when I feel like he doesn't care about me? I want to ask people to pray for me but a part of me is just losing hope every time it doesn't work, I don't know I'm just confused and I wrote what I was thinking
Hey Francis, I will definitely be praying for you as you keep working with God threw your sin. I am very glad you have given your life to Christ in the past year! You excepting Christ as the savior of your life is actually the answer to your question. If you are living in any of the sins in that verse yes you won't enter the kingdom of heaven. However when you except Jesus Christ as your savior Jesus blood washes away all the sins of your life and when God looks at you on judgement day your sins will be covered by the righteousness of Jesus Christ you have been forgiven and God will grant you eternal life. Landon Smith hey thanks for your comment, I get what you're saying about the moment you accept Christ as your saviour and try to live for him that your sins past and future are forgiven because of his blood (its hard to even fathom how amazing that is) its just I don't ever get to enjoy that, its like it won't sink in no matter how much I want it to and I just feel condemned and hopeless most of the time even when I 'feel' like I'm doing the right things for God, sigh, I don't want to discourage anyone reading this because I've seen and heard so many great things that God has done for people its just I don't see it for myself right now and I guess I was hoping some prayers from other believers could help, thanks again Landon
+Francis Ward Hello Francis, Landon is right on, so I don't feel a need to add to it. What you are going through currently is Spiritual warfare. It is the devil's tricks to get you to feel less of yourself as if you are not worthy of God's grace. (Grace is, God's Riches At Christ's Expense. ) You will experience this and it will likely be followed by feeling inadequate to sharing the Gospel, praying in community in prayer at church, work, or even in front of your family. There are a number of things you will experience, and they are all normal. I would recommend heading to your local Christian bookstore and picking up a book on Spiritual warfare. There are a number of choices, Tony Evans just wrote one, I would be interested in reading myself. I read C.S. Lewis' fictional book called Screwtape Letters that I enjoyed. It is fictional but very relevant. I had to read 4-5 pages at a time and think about it, and apply it to my life. Of course the best book of all is the Bible. I recommend starting with the book of John if you haven't already. Francis I will leave it here for now. Romans 5:3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. I would have to say that Ted knows his fate, at least being JV he knows that you cant just proclaim to be a saved person in the Messiah and not show it. Yes, there ARE different 'levels' of believers. Rev 22:11-15 is a prime example of this. There will be those called LEAST in the Kingdom under those called great. There isnt a "hell" like how main stream Christianity believes. They are giving satan exactly what he wants. Control over them, in a reign like the Most High. Please follow this link and tell me what you think about its literal and physical representation of hell. Several times the 'lake of fire' is mentioned and even gnashing of teeth. Gnashing of teeth does not occur when one is dead and simply ashes. This is a perverse interpretation of the New Testament. Also, God does not harbour abhorrent contradictions within his perfect justice. There is eternal conjunction with God, therefore, there must also be eternal separation from God if the judicial transaction is to be thoroughly just. Otherwise, it is merely a contradiction. I hardly believe that simply dying in body is any sort of punishment when there will be no body/soul to subjectify the punishment. If there is not object for punishment, there can be no punishment. Following your logic, there truly is no punishment for sin and 'the wage of sin is death' is rendered obsolete. You cannot say that 'eternal separation from God is Hell'. While that does hold true in the true Biblical framework, your version suggests that bodily death equates with spiritual separation from God (because we will not be bound by the body in Heaven). In so many ways, your viewpoint does not hold up with a multitude of Biblical truths. Please do not continue to believe this because this is a blatant deception.
To be fair, Tad wa right and consistent about one thing: If you're going to say we're not perfect and have tendencies to sin (I.e. "born sinners with a sinful nature"), then he has a good case for being a homosexual. The TRUTH though is that that false doctrine (which unfortunately is so pervasive in many churches) comes from Gnostic teachings. God made man upright (Ecc. 7:29) we CHOOSE to sin when we reach the age of accountability. There is no nature involved. To blame nature is to blame God. I hope this convo helped Ray realize that he's being inconsistent in his evangelism.

Are people born adulterers? He says Yes. Ok. So then if someone cheats on their spouse, do people think it's wrong? Point being: Lets say you are BORN gay and you are BORN an adulterer. Then daily wouldn't you need to make a decision to NOT do those things then if they are wrong? (This is if you believe you are born that way, which I don't think. Yes the sin is apparent, but next time try emphasizing why best of the best of the best doesn't exist. I feel way more compassion for his ignorance could have been gracefully displayed. I don't know, I just felt this was very....... There was room for more grace in this conversation, not to excuse the sin but to emphasize that his specific sin is not causal but consequential of a deeper issue. It's easy to call sin sin. It's harder to have compassion for someone heading to hell. And yes evangelizing is a form of compassion I know, and I'm not saying he should hold back the truth of hell at all. There is a hell, and that is the common grave. There is Gehenna, and that is the Lake of Fire. Those are not the same things. Hell is not eternal punishment in torment. Hell is for everyone who passes. The Lake of Fire, however, is for the wicked, the unrepentant. And they are consumed forever (not tortured forever). That's why it's called "The Second Death." You die once and for all, never to exist anymore.
If you read the King James version (Ray doesn't use the King James) you can see clearly where God destroys both body in soul. The other versions say "send both body in soul to hell" when King James says "destroys both body and soul..." The idea of hell that most of us Christians have is actually pagan in nature that was adopted by the pagan Catholic church. But the truth is to be tortured forever means to "live" forever... and that is impossible since God promises to "destroy" them so they do not inherit eternal life.
Everything else is on the money. Jesus is God. Only His blood saves. Your works justifies your faith, but doesn't get you saved...etc. Jehovah's witnesses have some crazy ideas. It's a weird cult, and I've actually gotten a chance to study with them for 3 months and understand the weird and flawed doctrines they've adopted.
Actually, he is right, there is no hell the way that most christians have improperly interpreted it. However, on the other side, there is a resurection and second death for the lost. So on this part I disagree with this guy. When the lost are thrown into "hell" or the lake of fire, the destruction is complete and they no longer will have any part because they will be completely consumed. Remember, God is a consuming fire and sin cannot dwell with God. Sinners will be burned up because of this. It is the saved who will dwell in everlasting fire because God is everalsting. Even more worrying is that hell (Hades) itself is finally thrown into the lake of fire (which is the second death): (Rev 20: 10, 13-15)

Ray, how about you drop the lies and just preach the first four chapters of Romans for salvation? Believe in Jesus and have faith in his blood, fully persuaded that God indeed will justify you when you do so. All of this "how many times have you lied?", shop stop things are getting old and nobody gets saved in your videos. Ever wondered why? At the most someone will walk away saying: "I'll think about what you said...", but that's it. And you are preaching works for salvation. Have you never read. Eph 2:8-9, Romans 4:5 for example?
