It's funny I was watching 3D rendering tutorials from Grant years ago ... he's a really great artist. Very interesting to see him involved in this project. Very humble and down to Earth kinda dude.
Grant is very humble with what has been accomplished by the Illuvium team, but if you have experienced pvp already it is very promising for 2024!! 🤩
ILV arena is a beautiful fun complex game, been playing several hours every day...and this is all before any eaening potential or other games activated yet
I remember when the Star Atlas showroom came out with the capability to call in your NFT spaceships by connecting your wallet to the UE5 environment- HOSTED ON EPIC GAMES. I recall a few illuvium devs said that could be created by 2 high school kids on a sunday afternoon. Why cant the Illuvium team just hire a few high school kids to get the Illuvitars integrated in with a wallet?
They cant and wont, because Illuvium is just another random web2 game that calls itself "web3" but it isnt.

I takes courage to be a trailblazer in a new space, I think all challenges of a young WEB3 industry, Illuvium is doing a hell of a job. Even better, he's not overselling the game, taking the hurdles head-on.

Love that your doing this on illuvium! People second guess that game because of the slow progress. But I think it’s going to get back to it all-time high or more which is more than a 20 X or so from here

I'm a massive ILV bull and are invested as such, but token ATH is some time away. With token unlocks and the current price, we're already halfway back to our MC ATH! 😳
@@dannyreal9443 I think it’ll happen but not for long. Then a quick crash, and a slow recovery. I think the game will have four or five year legs.
Gaming block chains are going to be the catalyst. I feel like it’s the most adoptable use case. Once the hype builds, it’s going to be like a snowball/avalanche😉
Hopefully illuvium does what Axie did and add multiple fun side/mini games.

Sadly there is no solution for older computers, so this thing is slightly restrictive to only the ones that have a graphic card from the last 1-2 years generations. Hence not everybody can benefit this guy's work.

Paul the GTA thing was debunked a long time ago. The game characters pay each other with in-game crypto. its fake game crypto not actual crypto. thats where the confusion comes from. Maybe gta 8.
I dont see GAMING niche will break its all time high this coming BULLRUN, why? In the absence of a good PLAY TO EARN game the hype is gone, no matter how good the graphics, gameplay, plot or whatsoever. One good web3 game that can provide tons of real money and then BOOM TO THE MOON for sure! That's the Fact.

hmm, bullrun will probably be in 2024, with btc halving around april , whilst gta6 is coming out in 2025. The game will be a great success but I doubt it will be in the upcomimg bullrun.

What's wrong with games that's on web2. Why need web 3? I don't mind the blockchain tech. But name one big game title thats fun n long lasting that have a token(real money) ties to it. CSgo doesn't count cuz not tradable tokens. Web3 game is excuses for dev and/or certain ppl make shit tons of money.
Anytime a great game get involved with money , it turns to shit or farm tools for cash. Most MMORPGs
In web3 the players gain value along with games market cap and the character's/nft's increase in value as they're leveled up thru gameplay
As far as I know they just want desperately to make blockchain is useful outside in financial product. Thats why they launch nft.
the concept of nft should be about store digital product and have authenticity for each product they stored inside blockchain. But we know how greed never disappointed us all.
Although you're not wrong, the biggest issue with web 3 games is the money sucking big corporations behind them, which affects how they treat game devs and how they treat the players/community. Epic has made billions off of people buying cosmetics and those players have zero ownership and zero returns on those cosmetics. It's against TOS to even sell your account. Epic owns rocket league which they just removed their in game trading of items and killed an entire community without a second thought. Activision pushes deadlines like crazy on Call of Duty studios resulting in half-arsed titles that get worse and worse every year. And they all push micro-transactions for everything they can. Web 3 games aim to decentralize these greedy corporations and allow the players to have actual ownership of items, have real value in secondary markets for items, and gives benefits to devs (I'm not all sure what I'm not a dev). It is still really early for Web 3 games so there's alot of work to be done. To your point also though, any current web 2 game could adopt some of these features of web 3 but they most likely won't because they don't want to give back to the players they only want to take. Say if Epic decided that fornite items will be NFTS now, players could buy/sell/trade items on a secondary market and make profits or collect things they could otherwise never get, additionally Epic could be making so much more money off fees on transactions. Obviously, I'm sure there are tax/regulation hurdles to be jumped but I would consider this to be inevitable

@@luckytofu9617Why can’t you have both? You can enjoy the game and or try to make money. The goal of pro gamers is to make money yea? So the game isn’t or can’t also be about having fun? What about trading card games? People make tons of money selling rares and holding collector boxes yet tons of people ‘also’ enjoy just playing the game. It’s digital ‘trading’ cards basically without just being limited to trading cards. Don’t overcomplicate it and focus on negative connotations and you can see that it has benefits too like anything.
As an OG gamer myself that knows what a quality game is all about. I cringe when non gamers try to convince other non gamers that some games are good. (and it makes me laugh haha). And alluvium is not one of them. Lets move on.

aye??? we have beta on the land a while back, beta on Overworld a while back, and now beta on PVP. Last time I checked the team are aiming for Q1 2024.
So what I understand ILLUVIUM is a web 2 game....zero blockchain, NO marketplace, No NFTs on Epic games Game version, no wallet integration......in few words...a SCAM....

It’s early access atm so no nfts or anything yet to let people experience the game without any barriers and will go web3/blockchain integration potentially Q1 with their open beta/full launch if you want to call it such.
