MH4U Lv140 Apex Zinogre solo (Insect Glaive) - 13'37

- One of the hardest Lv140 monsters to solo imo. This dude just likes to waste so much time which is particularly annoying when you depend on Wystones which only have a temporary effect. I've been struggling to get sub 15 on this one for so long that I already got worried I wouldn't be able to upload a solorun of this guy before the release of MHGen. Either way, got this new Zinogre GQ a few days ago and suddenly it's so much easier to get sub 15 now. Thinking about it, it's really amazing to see what a huge difference a GQ with a good map layout can make.

Basically you can use any weapons or armor from High rank like Zinogore helm s, testucabra helm s etc.

Zinogre in Grank is such hell to solo anyways, so lvl 140 and Apex and full charge makes it hell. And those ohkos, combos, flying bugs, this is going harder than thunderlord.

How did you get 320 Ice and + 30% affinity ( i have the same IG with the same gear and i dont know if i fed badly the kinsect but i have 220 Ice and -10% affinity in the max upgrade)

Yeah, those thunderbugs are the main reason why I think 140 Zin is so hard to solo. Those things will chase your ass until the other end of the universe and waste a shitload of time, dragging the fight unnecessarily because your wystone will run out.

People think Rajang or Master's Test is hard, but a supercharged 140 Apex Zinogre is easily one of the scariest things in the game imo and as always you made it look easy af.

Surprisingly, it wasn't that hard for me but then again, I've practiced this one for months. I've never managed to get sub 15 on my old Zinogre GQ though but with this new GQ, it was so incredibly easy. Kinda reassuring to see that it wasn't just me sucking at fighting 140 Zinogre but that the shitty map layout of the other GQ had a big part in it as well.

You really know this guy inside out. The enraged apex version is incredibly fast and hits extremely hard. Makes Rajang look like a tutorial monster imo.
Ye sadly that's one big flaw of 4U - too many bad map designs. For speedrunners or enthusiasts at least, maybe "casuals" feel different about it.

Yah, I don't think those minor details matter to casual players but as I have just experienced, they can make a huge difference, especially when you're fighting Apex monsters, where every wasted second while a wystone is active can drag the fight by minutes, more so if you fight Zinogre whose weakspots are all protected by apex armor, forcing you to attack body parts that don't take much damage.

Kinda odd that you aren't using your Palicoes, do you feel using them would make this fight not solo? They're too weak to really be counted as party members.

Palicoes take aggro from the monster making it harder to manipulate it by positioning, which will throw you off. And in a fight as intense as this you need all the concentration you can have.

In mhp3rd I killer zinogre more than 5 times, my psp battery is falling off so I had to put tape in it. But now when I try it again I can't even finish it.

I'm speaking of really challenging once, where even coordinated teams struggle to not even die one time.
I wasn't even able to do these solo, because the time just ran out (and I'm not actually that bad)
I fanyone is interrested I a quest called:"God's Test" then just answer this commend.
Or maybe a less harder one called:"Have some bombs guys" (almost did this one with 4 hunters, but we failed at the last Monster).
And please don't look at custome quests like they are cancer. If used correctly they can expand your game enormously :) .

Idk if you still read these comments but is 4U running at a higher frame rate than gen, or is something else going on here? Going back and watching the 4U videos they look way smoother than gen does playing it.

Lv 140 have extra Health and take less Damage. Would say around twice as much, plus maybe 20-40% less Damage?
Canta could have dealed whit him, as normal Zinogre, that way in a third of the Time.

I can get that, but you might be better off just ignoring some stuff you don't agree with instead of shooting people down. Not my channel, just my two cents though, for whatever it's worth.
I trust that most of my viewers are smart enough to see a disagreement just as that, a disagreement and not a personal attack or anything else. If however someone's being that kind of person that gets personally offended over a different opinion and starts to throw a fit, that's when I just don't bother and ignore but if they're genuinely asking a question, then I feel that they deserve a response, even if they don't share the same opinion as I do.
That is an awfully heavy amount of trust to place on internet strangers. Do whatever feels best, I suppose. I personally don't see the value in bothering to respond to every single person that asks you a question on a nearly anononymous platform. When you could just as easily let it be, rather than poke a hole in their sail, but still, I'm not you.

Nein, der skill wird gegen den nur selten aktiv sein.
Wäre vielleicht ein bisschen besser gewesen, aber ist deutlich schwerer reinzuskillen als Peak Performance, was automatisch mit der White Fatalis armor kommt. Ich finde zwar Peak Performance für 140er solos eigentlich schlecht, aber wenn man sich mal anschaut, wie lange er mit full hp kämpft, hat es das schon sehr gebracht :)

Hab ziemlich lange am Lv140 Zinogre geübt, insofern bin ich da recht selbstbewusst wenn es darum geht, PP über weite Strecken aufrechtzuerhalten. Der einzige Angriff, der mir immer noch Sorgen bereitet, ist der Bodycheck, weil der aufgrund der Größe von Lv140 Zinogre sowie der variablen Geschwindigkeit im Apexmodus je nach Position nur sehr schwer oder gar nicht zu moien ist.
+CantaPerMe würdest du PP auch bei Höllen zinogre machen oder nur bei dem?

This is supposed to be a superior creature in this game, an end games end game challenge, and yet they don't one shot or ever half health you on accidental hits. Yet in MHW no matter how much defense I stack, an accidental hit takes me down to half or lower.
Slotting in Health Boost skill to your set does mitigate that to some extent since your max HP on World/Iceborne now capped on 200 instead of classic 150 from older games
Also World is build whit faster Gameplay in mind, your able to recover easily from Hits while one hit here can lead into a Death Combo much easyer.
@@Sunaki1000 Yep can confirmed Zinogre in GU pretty much combo'd me to death, didn't help when my set had -16 thunder resistance.
865 is very a very high defense value in MH4U... most damages based sets are in the 700-800 range and Canta was not even hit by a big damage attack, the strongest was an Uncharged and not even enraged paw attack and still lost half his lifebar.. so if you're still saying it doesn't hit hard you should try or watch gameplay of peoples dying to those big moves..
