    5000$ for an outfit for Lewis and 20,000 Euros for the Uber Ad for Valterri are very modest estimations. You'd need to add one 0 to them to get close to the real figures is what I think.

    A lot of these are a Rough Guess to JUST the Base Salaries without Performance Bonuses added…then you add in Sponsorship it’s HUGE!!!

  • @Drrolfski
    @Drrolfski 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

    Max nowadays has a sponsor deal with Viaplay, who owns the F1 TV rights in a few European countries. In return Viaplay gets exclusive on-track interviews with Max and also gets to make exclusive behind-the-scenes documentaries for their streaming service. Btw the most important reason that drivers are worth every penny of their salary comes from what they bring in return. The media value of Max is many times bigger than his salary. His succes is making Red Bull ridiculous amounts of money. Oracle alone is paying 100 million dollar a year to be a partner.

    • @bogdanconstantin5911
      @bogdanconstantin5911 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup. A VP+ at a big company likes F1, sees RBR have success, assumes Oracle is a part of it on the organisational side, bam, pushed to use their products within their own company.

      Based on the budget cap.... if Oracle is bringing $100 million, RB must be swimming with money with all the sponsors

    • @Drrolfski
      @Drrolfski 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@charlesjay8818 They're massively investing that into their facilities and powertrain operation. Before a cost cap came into place for structural investments Red Bull ordered a big expansion of their campus in Milton Keys to house the new RBPT division and their RB sister team. They hired key staff away from mainly Honda and Mercedes and also started the construction of a new state-of-the-art windtunnel. Guess who's paying that bill?

    • @josephbennett4236
      @josephbennett4236 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the teams do pay for flights to the races, but some drivers prefer to forego that and use arrangements with private suppliers (or have their own plane, like Verstappen!) for the convenience, and in order to save time. It's not a huge sacrifice for them in the scheme of things - a business class ticket from London to Las Vegas (for example) would be chicken feed in the overall costs of all the other people and equipment needing transport to the venues.

    • @belamcd9878
      @belamcd9878 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@josephbennett4236 I understand they would not fly commercial, it needs to be private, just thought the team paid for it. I remember Sainz saying "I came here and didn't race" last year when there was an engine problem and he didn't start the race. Like he just wasted his travel, but now thinking for the teams side it's some sort of "luxury", so they would only pay a business class.

    Statistically, both Russell & Carlos have been in F1 for approximately 5 X seasons, yet only Carlos has developed & improved through the years while Russell has earned the F1 reputation of having the most contact with other driver's (including his team mates) than any other driver is history.
    As far as avoidable car damage, over 5 X F1 seasons, is concerned, Russell is head & shoulders above Carlos.

      I read that Fernando made about 35 million euros last year. He might have wanted a lower base salary, but big extras. Apparently he was contracted with 10 mill in 2023 as a base. So the same might be the case now, although I agree with you, after scoring over 60-70% of the teams’ points last season, 18 mill is too less. Finished ahead of all the drivers who had a way quicker car since Austria ‘23, more than half a season, yet seemingly, they’d be earning more. But hey, Kym said it himself, afterall, these numbers are all speculative or have been reported to “be” an x amount, who knows..

      No, they don't. What with sponsor & media commitments before and after races. Between races they usually fly back to the factories/headquarters to speak with designers and engineers. The mid year break is usually a month, but drivers usually only take a week or two off, then it's back into the gym, training, driving simulators.
      It seems like a glamorous lifestyle and probably is for the most part, but it is also extremely demanding physically and mentally, both on and off the track.

    Taxes ::: In the U.S., states like Florida, Texas, and Nevada, which host all three Formula 1 tracks, have no state taxes. However, any winnings earned in these states would still be subject to Federal income tax. Winnings exceeding $231,000 are taxed at a rate of 32%, while winnings above $578,000 are taxed at 37%.

      @@Bramfly No tax on "overseas derived" income. Any income earned Monte Carlo is taxable. So it's a great place for F1 drivers and international business people. Just don't put your money into a bank in Monaco and earn interest I guess.

      Aussie drivers such as Piastri and Ricciardo would never reside permanently in Australia. The tax man takes 47c in the dollar on big salaries like that, then you also have to pay tax on any interest your money earns while sitting in the bank. It's criminal. No wonder they move to places like Monaco.

    Based on 5 seasons in F1, Russell has proved that he does not deserve an F1 seat, let alone a $18 million per season salary.
    It's an insult to all F1 fans to see that Russell gets paid as much as Alonzo when Alonzo's performance justifies his value in F1.
    Talk about a miscarriage of justice!!! Russell is being paid $6 million dollars more a season than Carlos, who has provided 150% more than value to the team than Russell would ever be capable of delivering.
