great video. i keep getting skunked when i go on mondays, dropshots only worked for me on one hook up with a catfish lol. other hook up it popped off. dunno what im doing wrong. maybe hook size is off?
Hi thanks for the compliment. I use size #8 owner mosquito hooks with a slow retrieve and a 1/16 oz drop shot weight. Keep grinding you’ll find them. 🤙

Hello, I use the Phenix Dragonfly ultralight 8 ft 1 piece fast action, the 7’6” Phenix Elixir ultralight, and Fishing Syndicate Feather light for mini jigs. I prefer the dragonfly but the elixir is a very good rod for drop shot. Some prefer it over the Dragonfly but I like the feel of the Dragonfly the most. But both are great rods! There are also great custom rods available through IG but I like the warranty that comes with Phenix rods and they work well for me. Thanks!

Interesting technique. Drop shot style jigging and retrieve. Might have to give that technique a try.
