In Leitrim Ireland - From the O'Rourke's to Yeats

My Husband is a ORourke and told me and showed me his family had for castles in Ireland . And their family insignia. They also have a family book. Of his family line in Ireland. I Learned so much of his family’s past. I am proud to be a O’Rourke. My Husband was a great man .

My paternal grandma was Molly O Rourke of Aughomore Co. Lietrim, she was one of 14 children . Lovely to see this. ☺

Hello any O'Rourke's were ever you may be my name is timothy Patrick peter Rourke my brother peter has traced the Rourke's back nearly 500 years the name Rourke is anglicised for of the Gaelic LSO guard which means heavy shower of rain and there was more than one king of breffy there is more info we originated from vikings

Hello Kevin o.Rourke did you know when we o.Rourke's had to leave Ireland Joseph o.Rourke went to Russia he was known as prince o.Rourke and he was general in chief of the Russia empire and a great faction in the 1700 are name came from vikings and meant heavy shower of rain I am glad to say tim o.Rourke of Stafford good to and love to all
