4 million euros folks is the estimate to restore quiet man cottage . Is there a difference in restoring and rebuilding ? I mean how much does it take to build a regular thatched cottage in Ireland . Not 4 million euros . Can’t the law step in and repossess the land and run down cottage for a number of reasons an eyesore would be one and how did an American or Canadian come to purchase the property . Desertion would be another good reason . People all over the world would gladly donate money to have it restored . I’m not a rich man but would gladly donate a little something out of my pension check to see it restored .
not shure about coments from this lady Ismay left the boat just befor the titanic went down ,on collapsible no 2 boat , not the way he was portrade in night to remember was he a cowerd ?
He should have went to America to be anonymous. So much open land to get lost in.
I am an O'Rourke and very proud.
Thank you so much for this but I had a hard time hearing what Paul was saying especially in the end. Im sure its the best you could do under those conditions. Such important information though. I felt like he was giving us a very practicle roadmap for solving the issues of the world. When I was young, and the earth was green, (lol but not) and I first heard of the United Nations, I thought oh good theres a group that will do the right thing for the greater good. Make equtible and fair contracts/committments. Yup I was that young once. Seems like the World went down a very dishonarable path. A Path that could be charaterized as opposite of the one Jimmy charted. Im just learning about him as I learn more about my Mother's Mother's familly Her name was Hellen Gralton. ☺
I agree .I had to do it on my phone and this was back when it was not as accepted or capable as it is today. I loved listening to him. I just posted it with a comment on Paul and Ken's new film trailer th-cam.com/video/zmOR53QDd98/w-d-xo.html
I found out from Israelite Truth Channel that Bruce Ismay IS BLACK 🖤 Blessings and Hugs 💖💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕!
My mum is an o’rourke
Seems like a family secret maybe they don't want to get into political affairs again because things are headed in the wrong direction.
I had distance relatives who died that night on the titanic, so excuse me if I don’t give a rats about ismay! Far as I’m concerned if he got ordered to get in the lifeboat, (which I don’t believe one bit he did!) he still should of said no & let somebody else to take his place, to me he’s a coward & I hope his guilt is still haunting him in death!
I'm from Wexford. Just looking at the castles I should have inherited 😝
What happens is the thatch fails and the rain then pours down into the walls. Frost then starts heaving the stones apart also. The whole secret in the preservation of stone building is preserving the roof. Its such a shame the thatch wasn't removed and a corrugated galvanized roof fitted.
Very intresting
Hello Kevin o.Rourke did you know when we o.Rourke's had to leave Ireland Joseph o.Rourke went to Russia he was known as prince o.Rourke and he was general in chief of the Russia empire and a great faction in the 1700 are name came from vikings and meant heavy shower of rain I am glad to say tim o.Rourke of Stafford good to and love to all
@@angelarourke5243 yes and cornilelous Rourke from Russia as well.
Glad I found this! Grandfather jack ORourke from Ballinamore!
BBC South has very good interviews with familymembers of the passengers, crew and Bruce Ismay! Watch these first before judging and talking about this man the way you do! 🤔
Hello any O'Rourke's were ever you may be my name is timothy Patrick peter Rourke my brother peter has traced the Rourke's back nearly 500 years the name Rourke is anglicised for of the Gaelic LSO guard which means heavy shower of rain and there was more than one king of breffy there is more info we originated from vikings
My Husband is a ORourke and told me and showed me his family had for castles in Ireland . And their family insignia. They also have a family book. Of his family line in Ireland. I Learned so much of his family’s past. I am proud to be a O’Rourke. My Husband was a great man .
Soooo basically commit suicide or decide to live, does anyone now a days see this as a such a terrible act?
DESPITE YOUR ATTEMPTS TO RUIN THE NAME OF ONE OF THE FINEST AND MOST TALENTED NAVAL ARCHITECTS OF ALL TIME NO ONE DOUBTS THAT IF YOU HAD BEEN ON THAT SHIP YOU WOULD HAVE PUSHED OR THROWN LADIES AND CHILDREN INTO THE FRIGID ATLANTIC JUST TO STEAL THEIR SEAT IN A LIFEBOAT - TOO BAD YOU WERE NOT ON BOARD AND HEADED FOR THE WAITING WATER !!!!!!
so his trip on board the RMS Titanic was Bruce Ismay's first time at sea then?
Ahhhhh feels like home....
Made me cry today with happiness thank you so much my mums maiden name is orourke the more I hear the more I know I'm an orourke for sure
My paternal grandma was Molly O Rourke of Aughomore Co. Lietrim, she was one of 14 children . Lovely to see this. ☺
Leap castle vs loftus hall
There were stories of Ismay stealing a woman's overcoat and hat so he could weasle his way onboard the lifeboat. There is no proof this story is true. However, there is no proof it was a lie, as well.
i=he went on a collapsble boat nr the end , terrible way he was portrade on the night to remember movie
the guy that ordered Ismay into the lifeboat is buried at Titanic cemetery in Halfax Nova Scotia with a big stone that was paid for by Ismay
My last name is orourke
A hero of the Titanic, Father Thomas Byles, English Catholic priest, who spent his final moments, praying the rosary and hearing the confessions and giving absolution to the one hundred or so people who were trapped on the boat. He had refused a place at least twice on a lifeboat. His cause for canonization is going on now. Deo Gratias!
Could Bruce Ismay have Truly Been Guilty in that one Account from what First Class Passenger Elizabeth Lines has said that supposedly had taken place on the Morning or Afternoon before the Following Night’s Disaster and had explained in her very own testimony of telling and giving her own account of how Ismay had been “Allegedly and Literally” pressuring the Titanic’s Captain E.J. Smith to constantly keep speeding and speeding up the Ships Pace And even more and more and up until then where the Ship was going to Selfishly and even Corruptly Accomplish his goals of Making Front Page Headlines on just how the Titanic will Arrive into NYC on Tuesday Night a day earlier than originally anticipated and expected ? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 ?
Thank you!Very interesting! O'Rourkes are building a winery here in Canada. Am doing some research to pitch to help with interior design. Enjoyed you rblog very much too!
Thank you for this video! As an actor portraying J Bruce Ismay, getting another perspective and a more in-depth look into his life is incredibly educational and helpful!
Coward!!!!
Im from Ireland I know some haunted places including loftus hall
3:49 Is she talking to Satan?
LOL
He was ordered, huh? What would they have done to him if he didn't comply? Listen, I get that the guy didn't want to die. No one wants to die. Hell, I would have been screeching fear in frequencies too high for the human ear if I were in a sinking ship with nothing to look forward to but icy waters and death... But at least I would have a clean conscience...
You will not have a clean conscience you would be dead
I’ve been studying this tragedy since I was a kid. The only thing is, every single report says he helped fill every life boat he was near. Also they were launching it seemed like on a timeframe rather than when filled. That was an emergency boat, all the actual 65 capacity lifeboats were gone. It was being lowered with or without him because people just wouldn’t get on the damn things. I’d like to think I would stay to try and help anyone possible but it’s a really hard call. It’s choosing to die when other options are clearly available. No different than suicide really
@@thomasdaniels6824 who knows what they would do unless they were actually in that situation.
Elderly people used be telling ghost stories at night ud be to scared to go to bed after it
