left leitrim 25 years ago for S.F. CA. Jaysus looking at this video the sun allways shines on Leitrim as good as CA. Im coming home. Jobs galore I hear LCC are hiring
My Great-Great Grandfather came from Leitrim His name was John Cornelius Glancy he was the son of Bernard Glancy. Great-Great John came to America in 1865 fought in the American civil war on the Union side in the Navy. Leitrim looks beautifully and peaceful
@jackno16 OK i missed that but i still believe that number is highly exaggerated especially with the high emigeration rate and the large amount of people who have moved to Dublin and other larger cities in search of work
The Leitrim County Council should have saved their money from making this and fixed some of the roads in the county. 300,000 people living there, have they ever been to Leitrim??
scott22v Hi Scott, Where were your Wickhams from Leitrim? my grandmother was Wickham also always looking for links, would be interested in hearing about your Wickham stories.
Very good video to promote Leitrim to a great audience. Such positive comments from all on the video. Agree with MrDromohair - there are certainly not 300,000 people living in Leitrim. How could that error not have been noticed before the video was released? Or maybe I just heard it wrong? Any updated video since 2009?
Judging by the pathethic language used here by people who judges Leitrim. What I would like to know is where these people are from and can they praise their county of origin - are they just saying they dont like anything? I;m glad I wont be bumpimg into these people whenever I visit Leitrim.....3 cheers for our County and tough to those who discredit it!
Beautiful part of Ireland we go boating on the Shannon most summers, nice and quiet and peaceful for now ,until you let in the mad refugee who will destroy it and build there mosques...
@@Macca1000001The Catholic Church builds churches not the irish. And the Irish assimilate when they go to a new country the Muslims do not in fact they distance themselves from the culture of said country so they will never be welcome by the people. They were allowed in by liberal politicians
@jackno16 It seems you've been doing your homework but does that take into account the people who are moving away? As you may have noticed from my username i am from Leitrim and i am proud of it and i am one of the thousands of people who had to emigrate to ensure a steady job and a brighter future. But the line "Yer all very quick to dismiss Leitrim's potential!" is crazy and if you think that a county that is full of empty houses, no jobs and a very poor economy has potential your delusional!

What a stupid comment. Some people just can't stop being negative. They must live very sad, pathetic lives.
I bet they have all left now since the recession :/ Plus its been flooded several times since then...
Any Wickham’s left in the area

Irish have built churches for themselves around the world - what's the difference? Open your mind.
