Icarus - Deep Vein Extraction Farm - 450 Spacebux and 196 Exotics an hour

- My last farm got nerfed when they halved the amount of spacebux you earn from a run, so I've got a new one for you!
It's a long video, but I put the relevant info -- a pair of maps - at the start for you so you don't have to watch the whole thing. It's all just there to show you it's possible - you can run into the snow without cold weather gear, and you can use the space armour to make the full run from the get-go if you want.
There are loads more caves on the run path than I thought there was, I'm sure there's a decent path that you could go on to check for exotics in each of them to up your exotic gains even more!
Thank you a clear example of how to complete this mission. I keep seeing vids using the unstuck hack which is cool for ppl who wanna use it but I like this simple yet effective run. Tips like taking the water out of your body was something I didn't think of, taking a campfire to warm while mining also genius! Great vid!

You can make this run under 10 minutes, no gear required :D other than a knife for the cave worms - just do the snow path and learn bear spawns , ensure you eat berries, watermelon and cooked corn before entering the snow area then bolt to the cave - once done mining the cave run 5m past the rock at the entrance of the cave, hit esc and unstuck - boom - teleport back to dropship and extract xD
The unstuck feature doesn't always to transport you back to the dropship. Do you have to be stuck or in certain area for it to work?

I just tried this, it still works. It took me 20 minutes though, i mined all 4 ore nodes. If you flat out sprint to the cave after you arrive, you reach it at 10min flat. My stamina and running speed is maxed. Best time I could get if I mine all 4 nodes is 17 min
@@xpaulooo5385 nope....as long as you are around 5 meters past the big rock at the entrance of the cave you will end up in your dropship ...sort of in the middle of the canyon by the cave entrance

what happens to your exotic gear you leave behind?
Oh lordy it's gone. Anything you leave on planet is gonezo. I got killed by a bear while extracting and lost ALL my stuff lol. Lucky I've got my farms!

Seems like you will just loose every exotic gear that isnt on your body/ in your inventory at the moment of flying back. witch makes sense in terms of mining exotic materials, cause just 4 veins will fill every slot of your dropship (when mining with an exotic or steel+ pickaxe).
Radical thought…. Take a shelter. Cold problem solved
The upside to hiding in a cave to avoid the cold is that polar bears don't path through caves. The downside to a shelter is that it won't stop the "cold" debuff if you lack other temp mitigation, it'll just stop exposure, so you'll still wind up becoming 'frosty' if you go the southern path from the get-go. Also you need slanted roofs or snow weight will collapse the ceiling. Maybe the Fortnite pros can whip a cool 7 piece house up on the fly in a blizzard but I'm not there yet :P
You don't even need a shelter. You could just harvest ~400 fiber and craft cloth armor, and run through the cold with the 5% run speed bonus. You'll get some cold debuffs eventually, but by the time it matters, you're done collecting the exotics anyway.
why people ruin their own game experience? i hope they will change how the missins work. After one mission is completed you should not get a reward again. people o this farming run to get the best gear but where is the fun in this?
Exotics don't really get you the best gear though. It lets you have starter gear right out of the drop pod. But other than the armor for carrying stuff, everything you can craft in-game is essentially better in the later tiers. Plus, you there's plenty of other ways to get a ridiculous amount of exotics. You could just use an extractor on any mission with 2 exotic ground nodes, and get 500+ exotics in a single mission.
@@Drumstix42 yet doing this a couple of times will net you more exotics in a similar time, given the amount of time required to actually build the extractors and wait for them to finish. They really need to fix T4 crafting to have electronics be produced in 10s, like nails.
