Camille's family, Clan Ferros, was already mentioned in Arcane. She'd fit right in the show, too. Do take note that she's not really like Batman at all, she's... a pretty bad person. More or less an assassin who kills people from Zaun whenever they endanger Piltover; and when I say endanger, I don't mean just physical harm. If somebody from Zaun makes a scientific breakthrough that helps other Zaunites and makes them less dependent on Piltover, Camille will likely be after their head.
Since you questioned skarner... we dont know if that connection will remain in the lore soon. Skarner was recently reworked. His rework changed his entire history and chatacter. Look up "pre-rework skarner" and youd see a scorpion of pure crystal. Crystal that... would remind you of the hextech crystals. Original lore was that the crystal orbs were shards of this race of crystal creatures. Basically, they were magical creatures that went into slumber. While in slumber, their minds congealed and gathered into small pockets, as they didnt want to found mid-sleep. But piltover found them, and mined them not knowing the crystals were alive. They slept underground in Shurima. Those crystals were bundles of magical intelligent minds all gathered into one place, which resonated with certain frequencies because thats how these creatures were basically "speaking" or "thinking" in their sleep. These were the original lore hextech crystals. Remember in Arcane when the cystals only stabilized at high frequencies? Because that was the frequency of the minds within, allowing them to be used for magical purposes. KILLING THE MINDS WITHIN. Skarner meanwhile, was the last remaining non-sleeping member of his race. He hated all who used hextech, as it was magic tech that consumed his people. New skarner meanwhile, is a earth elemental who lives in a region somewhat new to league lore. So basically... We have no idea what the lore on the crystals are now, nor if skarner will be connected to them.
I guess riot felt like hextech crystals having the tortured souls of a whole species going extinct was a bit much lmao Also, if hextech crystals aren't alive, now Seraphine is basically schizophrenic since she talks with them ahah

IIRC, the Piltovans who found and mined the Brackern knew fully well they were alive, since Skarner woke up and attacked them. (Those Piltovans being clan Ferros, Camille's family)

Yeah, I think that's fair. I guess I was always eager to see what Jayce and Viktor were up to but got frustrated when Heimerdinger kept blocking them from continuing. Ultimately he was the wise one and he got fired for it 😅
regarding the heimerdinger class being "mage"; that's just a broad in-game class system that boils down to like 5 or 6 categories, that's why he's not a tinkerer or engineer or whatever you could name it, there'd be like 2 or 3 characters out of 160+ in that class so to make it simpler they just make him a mage cuz it's the closest thing to doing damage by creating machines (the machines and such being created by a spell and that being his main damage, as a mage would)
Added info about Seraphine's lore. At first her power came from hextech crystals which was then the eggs of Skarners race which contains their memory from their previous life and Seraphine heard their cries so she basically wants to sing for the dead Brakern (Skarner's Race) to Skarner which ironically where her powers come from. Well that was it until the Arcane happened and riot changed the lore of hextech. Now Skarner is just the protector of Ixtal and Seraphine just want to sing
I recommend reading all the short stories, especially the longer ones that focus on world building (each region has a few), if you are confused on where to start, there's a channel that serve as a archived for audio books of stories from Runeterra called Prestige Edition if you wanna check it out1

I have a theory about Oriana as you have seen she is a robot that has the heart of a human girl, her father (it is said that an engineer or scientist) decided to fuse her with technology so that she could continue living. My theory is that she could be Singed's daughter, in the episode where he “heals” Jinx he tells Silco I once had a daughter too, and if I'm not mistaken there is a small fragment where he is looking at a picture of a girl.
Arcane really did a number on the lore. Riot confirmed that Arcane going forward will be cannon, but that means that large chunks of information on universe (ESPECIALLY AS IT RELATES TO PILTOVER AND ZAUN) are outdated. Example: The online info doesn't really talk about the hex gates (continent wide airship teleportation?) and Jayce was the one who made the Atlas Gauntlets that Vi wears. Or some iteration of them.
Also, one thing you have to keep in mind moving forward is that: 1. Arcane happens in the past when the champions are not their current self just yet 2. ALL the lore got unified into one shared universe, so when you wonder "Caitlyn wasn't the sheriff in Arcane, that's different" just know that she WILL become the sheriff now at some point in the story, since Arcane, Legends of Runeterra, and every single thing that is gonna come out of the League IP, WILL NOT be separated from the core League of Legends universe anymore, but it will be all Canon and all consistent across all pieces of media, just a heads up so you know😉☺️
They will mostly modify the current core lore of league to match arcane. So if Caitlyn becoming a sheriff doesn't make sens for arcane they might change that in the current core lore.

Just wanted to let you know throughout the years and different games (and arcane) they started to be a bit inconsistent with lore stuff. So a few months back they announced that they will be streamlining everything into one cohesive timeline (no alt. universes or anything, aka multiverse) so there will be things redconned that happened before that announcement (everything after is canon lore. The priority of keeping lore is: Arcane, Legends of Runeterra (the card game), and then others. Aka the info on the site/map will be changing/streamlined too.
I highly recommend watching Necrit's video on the potential Raids of the Riot MMO. It actually explains plenty of stories all across Runeterra, it's just awesome😍

Skarner was a champion that was closely related to all hextech related champions, because his kin, the Brakern, crystal scorpions, were the source of the hexcrystals that Jaycee uses, which the clan ferros harvest from Skarner people killing them. So basically Jayce's business was based on genocide. But last month skarner received a rework including his lore, so that's no longer canon I think, but they still left his image on the related champions of piltover champs. Also if when you react to Jayce o Viktor, try reading both champion bios one after another, as they tell the same story but from 2 point of views.
i'd say Arcane is set around 15 years before the main storyline of League of Legends. So probably where the second season will end. That's also the reason they cannot continue Arcane further because they would move faster than the actual League timeline.
Heimerdinger is a "mage" in game because that's the type of damage he does in game. As in, he does AP (ability power) instead of AD (Attack Damage), this just means he does damage through abilities, instead of punches. So, because of that, IN GAME, he is categorized as a "mage" (only being a game class, not a title, or career). But he is an inventor, technology. Although he does use hextech, which is like engineered magic, and he is a Yordle, so he is made of magic, so you could say he qualifies as a mage. But Heimerdinger is no more of a mage than Jayce, Vi, or anyone who uses hextech weapons. So, unless you want to call them mages too, Heimerdinger is not a mage in lore, only in game as a class because of the type of damage he does.

9:15 Ezreal is considered from Piltover because he is from there, his job is an archeologist basically (Indiana Jones comparison was on point), but he remains Piltover's citizen. Also yes, Shurima is the desert region of Runnethera.
Please react to Legends of Runeterra card art of each region too. For example, check the card art of all the piltover and zaun region cards. It's a more visual sneak peak of their world and it's extremely interesting and I haven't found a youtuber who did that.
I dont know how familiar you are to superhero comics, but Jayce and Viktor in League of Legends lore before Arcane are basically just Reed Richards and Victor von Doom from Marvel. Hell, Viktor is even named after Victor von Doom. I find it a bit sad that they changed Jayces characterization so much in Arcane.
4:30 is not different, it just hasn't happened yet. Even after the time skip, Arcane is still a backstory, so it's behind the "current" year of the lore. Try also reading the info that shows up on the right whenever you click on a region on the map, it tells you about the government and their view of magic
7 months ago riot made the change that everything that they release is canon now, they needed to change some things but arcane has become canon. But arcane Season 1is about 6 years in t he past necrit made a video about this called " Riot Just Changed League's Entire Lore "

When riot gave him Mage role they meant that he mainly uses his skills from a far to do damage (he throws hextech granades builds turrets etc. ) not his auto attacks like for example caitlyn or jinx. When will people understand Arcane is the backstory, like, the past, and we will get to the present (League version) eventually? Yes, Caitlyn will become a Sheriff, you only saw her past. Maybe Arcane 2 will happen closer to the present, or in the present (League Version). If anything, you are reading spoilers. For example, yes, Vi joins the enforcers and works with Caitlyn. . And yes, people change. And no, Arcane isn't a different canon, just the past. Just think of it from the perspective of a League player. We knew this characters for a decade, then Arcane came to explain to us how they go to become what we knew of them, solving a bunch of mysteries in the process too.
Oh, you are talking about me? Throughout the video I reflect that Arcane (season 1) is the past. Still, it's a surprise to see Caitlin going from unemployed to Sheriff of Piltover. I'm aware that Arcane is in the past and all this lore is in the present. Same way with Vi, she goes from being an undercity thug to protecting Piltover, quite the surprising change. I don't really care about spoilers at this point, I watched season 1 without any spoilers and now I'm just enjoying the ride 😅
Honestly I still kinda prefer the original lore of Jayce and Viktor. Its pretty similar to what we see in arcane so far, but I fear that they will erase the elements that made it cool. Like Jayce becomes a total arrogant a**hole in the future (not a bady guy still), and everybody believes that Viktor is this evil, mad scientist (which is kinda ture), but he is also helping the people of Zaune, and saves many lives with his augmentations. I'm not sure what Riot plans to do with them, and I just hope that they don't mess up Viktor, because he was one of my favorite characters even before Arcane, and now I fear the changes. Fun fact, Blitzcrank was made by Viktor. Its also something I hope won't change in the future.
To be fair tho, the events of Arcane take place in the past, the characters can still go that way. Either they don't change the core universe characters and they WILL become like that or they decide to make a bit of retcons in Arcane and gradually change the core universe characters. Either one of the two options MUST happen since we now know that they unified all the lore into one shared universe😊
Their stories aren't done yet. They still got time to be close to their in-game counterparts. I am more worried though of what they planned with Viktor, too.
I love playing LoL. But that's why what i'll say will have some weight behind it. The best thing about League of Legends is that you can enjoy the lore of it without playing the game. The game itself provides near-to-zero "lore value".

But Singed looked more like a biology/bio-engineering & alchemy kind of scientist, not a robotics engineer kind of scientist.

Yes, Caitlyn will become a Sheriff, you only saw her past. Maybe Arcane 2 will happen closer to the present, or in the present (League Version).
If anything, you are reading spoilers. For example, yes, Vi joins the enforcers and works with Caitlyn.

And no, Arcane isn't a different canon, just the past.
Just think of it from the perspective of a League player. We knew this characters for a decade, then Arcane came to explain to us how they go to become what we knew of them, solving a bunch of mysteries in the process too.
Oh, you are talking about me? Throughout the video I reflect that Arcane (season 1) is the past. Still, it's a surprise to see Caitlin going from unemployed to Sheriff of Piltover. I'm aware that Arcane is in the past and all this lore is in the present. Same way with Vi, she goes from being an undercity thug to protecting Piltover, quite the surprising change.
I don't really care about spoilers at this point, I watched season 1 without any spoilers and now I'm just enjoying the ride 😅
Honestly I still kinda prefer the original lore of Jayce and Viktor. Its pretty similar to what we see in arcane so far, but I fear that they will erase the elements that made it cool. Like Jayce becomes a total arrogant a**hole in the future (not a bady guy still), and everybody believes that Viktor is this evil, mad scientist (which is kinda ture), but he is also helping the people of Zaune, and saves many lives with his augmentations.
I'm not sure what Riot plans to do with them, and I just hope that they don't mess up Viktor, because he was one of my favorite characters even before Arcane, and now I fear the changes.
Fun fact, Blitzcrank was made by Viktor. Its also something I hope won't change in the future.
To be fair tho, the events of Arcane take place in the past, the characters can still go that way. Either they don't change the core universe characters and they WILL become like that or they decide to make a bit of retcons in Arcane and gradually change the core universe characters. Either one of the two options MUST happen since we now know that they unified all the lore into one shared universe😊
Their stories aren't done yet. They still got time to be close to their in-game counterparts.
I am more worried though of what they planned with Viktor, too.
I love playing LoL. But that's why what i'll say will have some weight behind it. The best thing about League of Legends is that you can enjoy the lore of it without playing the game. The game itself provides near-to-zero "lore value".
Yeah I'm loving that! It's also funny that all LoL players keep telling me to stay away from the game haha
