Ren has posted a lot of snippets of Fred again on his IG (especially the song Jungle), that’s the only reason I’m familiar with him. But after watching Fred again’s Tiny Desk Concert, I can see why Ren is drawn to him. I love that you picked up on how Ren looked out at the Calgary skyline when he was singing “I’ve been lost.” It must be hard for him to be so far from home for so long. Plus because of the Visa limitations, I bet he feels lost not being able to perform or even busk. There was so much emotion in this track! They did a great job with the video! I love the ambiance and the sick boi neon.

When he looks out while singing "I've been lost" I figured he was looking at the Sick Boi light. That's what's great about Ren. Different people will have different interpretations, and they can all be correct.

I love Fredagain and was so excited to hear Ren was doing a mash up……the choices for the five tracks were inspired…..paying homage to Fred but also telling Ren’s story perfectly. Ren’s music makes you feel….and I think so many of us will have felt it….felt Ren’s pain but also the pain of recognition….the recognition that some nights are long and we are lost….we just gotta keep trying and holding on.
