A couple years ago I had multiple deltarune dreams that seemed prophetic, which devolved into an entire conspiracy theory about aliens, one that felt like a red herring was one where dess's entire reason for going missing is she fell down a ditch and there was a caterpillar in the way, and she was deathly afraid of caterpillars, it seemed like a coverup due to the uncanny nature of the dream,
but not here we have a gif of papyrus staring aggressively at what appears to be a caterpillar (probably not an earthworm since they are usually pink)

Fun fact: at the end of Toby Fox's message for his Danmaku Kagura collaboration, he (jokingly) asked for Ran Yakumo (the character with the iconic hat) to be the main character of the next Touhou game. Fast forward to Touhou 19's release, and guess what. Ran Yakumo is playable and is one of the incident resolvers. This was probably a coincidence, but it was still pretty neat.
It's worth mentioning that Ran hasn't had a relevant role in forever, so her appearance was a pleasant surprise.
Also I am very normal about the series if you ever need a nerd to infodump you about Touhou :3c
I was watching someone play the first few touhou games and one of the bosses bared a striking resemblance to Asriel. Do you think it's a coincidence or a reference?

I wouldn't read into it too much since Japanese artists really love to overplay their stress for humor (or it's a cry for help.)

Jaru not knowing what a leaf is underneath Lancer's bike is the funniest thing.
I find it strange how Ralsei's robe looks different in the leaf raking sprite (referring to the symbol on it). People also noticed in chapter 2 that the symbol on his robe went from a heart to what kind of seemed like an upside down spade (or it might've just been a weird shadow). Strange either way

One thing about that cut sneaking song, There was a tweet that Toby made I believe before chapter 2 came out introducing Noelle’s theme. He associated Lost Girl with Noelle, but he also mentioned that it’s also a song that pops up throughout the game without her, so just take that for what you will I guess

Toby's music is like that - it's how I was able to retry boss fights multiple times and still have fun with it, just because the music is amazing. There are very few games in which you can die 10 times in one segment and yet still enjoy yourself on the 11th try.
15:46 the track also contains the motif from "My Castle Town", altered in a similar way to how it is in "My Funky Town" shown in a previous newsletter. I'd guess the sneaking section was likely related to the shadow dudes who can be seen playing saxophone in the Funky Town animation.

The sneak mechanic might've had something to do with an event surrounding Undyne and maybe her telling us something about Dess being lost
Idk if it's just me with Homestuck soundtrack listened tenfold, but the stealth soundtrack sounds to me like a Lost Girl lovechild of Black (composed by Toby Fox) and Moonsetter. And while Moonsetter seems unrelated. The style of Black and quite matching chords (idk, didn't check and I have no idea about music theory, but I could successfully hum Black leitmotif to the music) would heavily imply it would have been used in a section with those gangster shade guys, since Jack Noir (whose main theme is Black) is also a gangster sharing colour with them plus they play saxophones which are used in the song. Probably not that noteworthy, but if Toby uses Black leitmotif in chapter 3, I'm gonna flip out in some sort of acrobatic pirouette'y fashion.
This was just chill and silly. Doesn't look like there isn't too much serious info here. Also really awesome me think the next chapters aren't soon. I just hope it isn't too late next year.

9:14, I think that brown spot is a leaf that Ralsei was trying to rake but Lancer is using his motorcycle to cover it up. I think this is the reason because of how Ralsei is just looking directly at the ground towards Lancer.

Has any one made the connection between dess and gaster on a more meta level? What if the reason we only hear mentions of dess is bc like gaster she is a scraped charater, but one in still in the proces of disapearing bc deltarune is a work in progress game. Maybe the reason lost girl is appearing in this scraped sound track is to hint that there's a connection between being scraped and dess. And the reason the town at large has forgotten her is bc she's fading from their memory. Idk this may be a bad theory I haven't completely thought it trough and there might be some holes...

Are you aware of Man on the Internet's Deltarune the (not yet) Musical tracks? Particularly, how some of his Chapter 1 tracks uncannily predict Chapter 2 plot points. Like King singing "strike the earth let darkness rise" and Kris having an existential crisis that we only really start to see in Chapter 2.
His most recent track "Another Him" bery very heavily implies that the Vessel is the Knight, and it seems odd to take such a wild guess if he doesnt know something we don't.
I personally think he might be getting lore hints from Toby Fox himself, so it might be interesting to examine his tracks for potential clues.

The last ~25 seconds or so of the Sneaking song sounds like it has the Don't Forget leitmotif on repeat, similar to The last section of The World Revolving, except in Sneaking, they added a couple notes between each instance of the leitmotif so it isn't immediately obvious. But they even alternate between slightly slower and slightly faster repetitions in the same way

I find it pretty interesting that the Sneaking music was labeled under "Campaign 4." We already know that Chapter 3 will be a bit odd structurally, and we've seen hints about several very different themes. The Weathers, the mobster style music with the Shadow Men, and the cowboy section that was either cut or is just the secret boss depending on what you believe. Maybe each of the doors in the green room will take you to a unique area that has a mini campaign you need to get through?

We already knew ralsei was going to be in chapter 3 because in the spamton sweepstakes there’s a secret that kris Susie and ralsei are fighting enemies and they dress up in costumes and spare enemies
I had a little thought about the sneak scene, it doesn't really tell us that it was from chapter 3 really, it could also be at chapter 4 or perhaps even 5 since they've been working on those in parallel in the meantime. What if in chapter 4 or 5 we kinda sneak into the holiday mansion? It would tie the thug theme to the mayor and the lost girl theme would also make a lot more sense.
I dunno just a little train of thought i wanted to share that can probably be disproven very easly :p

I do have a theory regarding the lost girl motifs in that song. If it does relate to Noelle, perhaps it appears because her mother, which is the town mayor if I'm not mistaken, ran an ad on the TV and the gang had to sneak around characters that were in that ad like her bodyguards or something. It's pretty wild theory that just came into my mind after you started wondering what it could mean.
If Roulxs being the rules card in a card deck is true maybe he and pap are connected because papyrus was the only one to read it keep it and not throw it away because rules to a puzzle or game are important to him?

I think it’s interesting to note that the song that got cut largely uses the Noelle and Dess leitmotif. Reading the newsletter again I see it doesn’t specify which chapter that was going to be in, but if it was going to be in chapter 3 the area could have to to with Dess since Noelle would assumedly not be at the Dreemurrs’ house in the middle of the night. No matter which chapter it’s in, it seems like we’ll be interacting with the Holiday family again in one of the next few chapters.

I think the link between the sneaking song and Lost girl theme is basically that they are both unused. The song is said by Toby to be now "unused", such as a certain inside dialogue. Maybe this wasn't Lost Girl theme at all, but rather Lost Files theme, Unused files, items and concepts. I find this very very interesting
