First ride next Saturday uh guys, good luck racing. Be fast, ride safe, have fun. My son raced yesterday. He moved up alot in positions, that was exciting. The best race he's had in 3 years of racing. There was 5 flat tires that I personally counted that passed me close to the finish line. A broken chain, a possible broken wrist, another crash that someone couldn't ride and was walking but was determined to finish the race. Another that ended up with a ambulance ride. Needless to say it wasn't boring.
Pushing hard at those moments everyone else is resting has a huge psychological impact on your competitors. Cresting a hill, but also hitting climbs with as much speed as possible. It's all about gaining and keeping momentum. It's an easy way to get an advantage over an equally fit rider.
I have had plenty of work and repairs but haven't been riding due to a bout of cancer . I have two repair , test personnel . My doctor rides a Lance Armstrong replica bicycle .
Step 1 - Be in shape 😁
Definitely helps 😁

Wow sounds like a crazy first day. Lots of life learning 🙌😁
Was that Powder Mountain?
Good timing, I was just researching XC races (and gravel) in my area to see if I should give it shot.
Training the mind instead of training the body. Good stuff.

Spot on. I’ve said the exact words to my riders.

That music sounds like Primus! To defy the laws of tradition 👍🏻
Totally 🙌
@@oldshovel I was playing my Frizzle Fry CD yesterday so it's fresh in my mind ha ha!
Cool tips Rob 😎
Thanks
Que cuesta esa bici Marín 😮
You appeared out of condition around 5:20 . A lot of puffing for a short course .
Thanks for the love my friend, if you're not pushing you're not improving.
Being off-road faster isn't always better
My sponsored lady rider is much faster than you mainly being UCI level now and 25 years old .
lol I am sure that's true - I'm a 50 year old dad coach who can't keep up with my teenagers let alone an elite level rider ...
Tip nr. 1! get your legs stronger in gym :-) thats only 1 thing whats help.
