Fun Fact: Druids cannot normally turn into Owlbears (Their creature type is Monstrosity). However, Wizards of the Coast asked the community if they'd be okay with Homebrew being shown in the film. Additionally, there was originally an attempt to change Owlbears into Beasts, which would allow Druids to turn into them. This fell through, and it's only referenced in artwork used for Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, where an Owlbear is parleyed with using objects on the Beast's Parley Table rather than the Monstrosity Parley Table. It's likely that Tasha's would've had a section on changing types for certain creatures, but was cancelled late in development.
Also I don't know if it's intentional, but starting the transformation by lifting the number "8" could be a reference to how Druids start with a 1d8 for Hit Die.
TBH I've never really liked the Monstrosity category. Pretty much everything in it is more interesting to me as a naturally occurring animal than as an unnatural monstrosity. But owlbears especially.
@@Magmafrost13 It also makes very little sense considering previous editions. It's pretty much a nerf list for the druid imo.
in 3.5, druid wildshape was limited by size rather than CR (and increased at certain levels), they had plant wildshape (so you could be a shambling mound for example) by 12th level, elemental wildshape by 16th and in epic levels could pick up beast wildshape (which was what owlbears were classified as), magic beast wildshape (Phase spiders and Winter Wolves for example), and even stuff like colossal wildshape which would allow you to turn into a MEGALODON, or DRAGON WILDSHAPE, which would allow for TURNING INTO A DRAGON.
i feel while not bad, and actually fairly strong at lower levels, druids in 5e get a bit overshadowed at wildshape at very high levels when any schmuck wizard can use polymorph or true polymorph, with less restrictions than you. Though admitedly wildshape spellcasting is very cool.
Only problem with this collection is the amount, only four, i hope they release more of this collection in the future
I do think there is a wave 2
There's definitely going to be a second wave. There was a reveal for D&D Nerf Weapons that accidentally spoiled a dragon that wasn't shown in promotional material yet. Likely this first wave is only Behold + 3 Creatures shown in the film. The second wave might include the aforementioned dragon, a Displacer Beast, and two others.

It would be cool to see them do a combiner one of these and have 5 dices to combine and form a Tiamat which is a five-headed Dragon. as it would also be cool to see them add other dice like D4 - D12

I'm a bird guy so I will DEFINITELY be picking this guy up. Never really got into D&D but I remain open minded about it and a Transformers-adjacent figure seems cool to add to the collection. Great review as always PVP!

I like these guys a lot but they are so expensive for what they are and kinda look like bakugan. But they are still loads of fun.

Honestly, these arent half bad for the size. They all turn into a shape so its not like they were gonna be perfect, the fact they still keep a distinct shape is pretty sweet.
These are defo a bit overpriced, and should have a bit more models.
Also i dont like the numbers being outer rather than printing. Seems to limit the dice functionality a bit.
A different you like them I'm a little into Dungeons & Dragons never done one though they look very cool and I can't wait to see what else is in store and I think you should get more

As in action figures? I’m not sure, probably not. I only really got these for the transforming aspect to be honest

I have the dragon and in my opinion have more or less the same fun factor. The worst of all is the Beholder unless for me. Xxelent video as always cheers from PR.By the way those dices remain me Bakugan without magnet and the spring load mechanism. PVP I can't believe that earthspark figures and this dices arrived first to PR Walmart than wildrider , motormaster, deadend or breakdown . I know that Legacy evolution figures are not coming yet but Menasor wave was victim of scalping and it is very sad 😞take care bro.

The owlbear is my favorite, followed by the dragons which both have positive and negative points. The beholder was disappointing. The sculpt for the face and teeth is great, but the rest is just meh.

Eleven. Two are 100% repaints. Some others have only a few parts that are different.

I really do like the looks of these, but, as much as I would like to buy these, I'm also not a fan with how the Dungeons & Dragons brand to this day STILL censors their products just to please people who don't buy said products.
