Thank you for sharing. You are very brave and yes it is heart breaking to see you having to cut off your tlc cut off . Tough love is hard. I will do the same with my 2 year old alfonzo when it flowers like yours. Thank you for preparing me to exercise tough love.
I propagated most of the following cultivars in Florida conditions and almost each and every variety failed to retain their exotic flavor, complexity, spiciness and °brix, compared to their country of origin. I came up with the test results for each variety,I tried in Florida in percentages compared to their native conditions. And of course this is my own assessment for these cultivars growing in Florida: Alphonso-50% Alampur Baneshan-70% Amrapalli-70% Anwar Ratool-40% Banganpalli-50-60% Chaunsa-40% Dussehri-50% Fazli-expecting bloom in 2021 Gopalbhog-60% Gourmoti-60% Haribhanga-60% Himsagar-expecting bloom in 2021 Imam Pasand-60% Jahangir-60% Kesar-70% Langra and it's phenotypes-expecting bloom in 2021 Malda-expecting bloom in 2021 Mallika-60% Sindhri-not yet bloomed Sonpari-80% Note: Most of my subcontinent cultivars are 3-20 years old besides my 40 other Floridian varieties. My Alphonso tree is around 20 years old. The fruit yield is poor. The flavor profile is disappointing compared to it's Ratnagiri, Devgarh, Raigad, and Konkan counterpart. I don't know your weather conditions. Hopefully, it's better than South Florida.
Very good collection! I am trying to raise some N. Indian varieties in Zone 9B in California (started this year). As far as Alphonso mango is concerned, its native growing zone is 13, so may not do good in Zone 9, 10 conditions.
Assalamu alaikum Kashif, MashaAllah its a pleasure to watch your thriving tropical fruit trees. I am a fruit tree enthusiast myself and have been growing different varieties here in melbourne. Could you please give me the nursery details where you get your exotic varieties from. Kind regards, Min

I bought Alphonso tree last year and it is blooming now. I will take the advice from your video and cut the flower. Although, I am worried whether in the long run will it bear fruit in Perth weather.

Are you in Melbourne, Florida or Melbourne, Australia?
can you grow the alphonso in a container ?
Can you grow an alphonso mango tree in a pot? If so, how large should it be?
How cold can the Alphonso mango tree tolerate when young?
It really depends, we tried it till -2 in Melbourne. It’s not advisable to expose it to frost or chill factor, keep it under the shade if possible.
@@backyardfruitorchard3497 oh, I was worried that our temperatures were going into the mid-50s F which would be 12 C. I guess they would be fine.
