I usually don’t care for when opera and modern-sounding music come together but when Baal Zebul showed up you already know I was screaming “Sing that shit girl 😩“ at my Switch.
REALLY BIG STRETCH BUT: The “The” in The Phantom could be foreshadowing to Baal Zebul Right after “The Phantom”, the next Sin Demon is an _opera_ singer… so when you combine the two you get *”The Phantom of the Opera”*
I like to believe that the alternate Bayonetta who was Viola's mother still had ties to Chesire from Cereza and the Lost Demon, and when she gave her Chesire doll to Viola and asked Chesire to look after Viola
But isn't there a theory stating that Bayonetta from Bayo 3 is little Cereza from Bayo 1 also due to the same hairstyle? When Cereza is brought to Bayo 1's universe by Bolder, she's afraid and "a little crybaby" at the beginning, but due to her voyage with Bayo 1 and Luka, she gets more confident (maybe a bit cocky), which eventually leads to her having such self-esteem and being badass (Cereza from TLD has to go through a lot too, leading to her maturing and becoming stronger in will-power). There's some connection between Bayonetta from 1 and 3 and Cereza from 1 and The Lost Demon. This is some kind of riddle and I'm so here for it!!!
@@sinmil.1 I'm under the impression that that Bayo 3 was Cereza from the first game who became as powerful as she is because of the added encouragement from Bayo 1 who grew up from who she was in TLD which lines up with Viola's birth mother if she too was a Bayo 1 variant so it would be possible for Viola's mother to still have ties with the same Cheshire because there is still only 1 Inferno with 1 Chesire
@@bleh5430 Wait, so you're saying that Bayo 1 could be Cereza from TLD? Interesting, but what makes you think that? Viola's mother is another Bayo version, not Bayo 1 right? Maybe you've explained it in your comment, but I didn't understand it; if so my apologies. 😅
One thing I noticed, Beelzebub is represented in mythology by either a toad, human wearing a crown or a cat , or even all three at once. We can see the toad and the human with the crown in Baal Zebul but what about the cat? Well if you take a look at the little red horns she has you'll notice that they look like cat ears when looked at from a certain angle.
@@UmbranLumenAlso, I don't know if this is a stretch but Baal Zebul kinda reminds me of Nevan from Devil May Cry 3, they're both pale, beautiful demonesses, with long red hair and are musically inclined, Nevan's lair is a musical stage, also both of them give the player musical instruments as weapons, Nevan becomes a electric guitar for Dante and Baal Zebul gave Jeanne her mic stand which ended up with Bayonetta. Also Nevan is a reference to a Succubus while Baal Zebul is a Siren both being female monster who seduce men to their deaths.
I feel the need to point out that the second half of the deadly sin chants contain the chant Bayonetta uses when performing a normal summon. It kinda makes you think what the other demon chants would be.
So here’s a gross fun fact for ya, the pink undergarment on Baal Zebu’s dress are actually her intestines/guts as a reference to how actual frogs have their internal organs visible.
1. Sin Gomorrah were based on Japanese Kaiju Godzilla 2. Queen Butterfly Climax is a Refrence of Tang Sanzang who gave Sun Wukong a Golden Headband and a Buddha who imprison him in the mountain. The second time she was summoned, she perform Dragon Ball Super Saiyan technique Kamehameha. 3. The Phantom name is a reference toward phantom of the opera and also the Demon boss from the first DMC. 4. Baal Zebul name cames from Beelzebub prenouncement and she was performing a Diva Dance from The Fifth Element
Guys i wanna see a bayo update so bad hell i wish we could get more infernal demons to be playable in bayonetta 3 like Diomedes or something and i REALLY hope in bayonetta 4 that they will expand in demon masquerade and demon slave would love to see more demons to he playable more combat options who knows maybe in bayo 4 we will get to see infernal demons doing different combos by mixing the punch and kick buttons like how bayonetta does and i hope that in bayo 4 that the sin trigger will be new feature in the game where we can play with their sin forms
Shame all the Deadly Sin rituals ended with Baal Zebul. That's four out of the eight demons you get in the story (barring the few you get in side chapters and endgame) Would've been funny if Umbran Clock Tower's sin form was the Ithavoll Group building. Does it makes sense? No. Would it be awesome? Hell yeah.
Love the new video! ❤❤ as for who my Infernal Demon would be, honestly I’m between Madame Butterfly cause I’m a hardcore butterfly stand no shame in admitting My second choice would have to be Rosa’s demon Madame Khepri, we don’t know all that much about her, but that only adds to the air of mystery surrounding her. Add in the fact that the sin transformations are now a thing it makes me all the more curious to see what her transformation would be like. And lastly, my third and final choice would be Baal, I love her Sin form and I also happen to have a fascination with poison….that and my adoration for singing 🎼🎼🎼🎼 she and I would have angels falling before our harmonic rhythm 🎵 🎵🎵
“Sin” might be a Japanese pun on “Shin” which means ultimate. In particular Sin Gomorrah (and Gomorrah in general in this game) is a reference to Shin Godzilla. His lasers, the ones that come out of his back, is an addition in the movie Shin Godzilla. Shin Godzilla also opens up his mouth in a weird way to shoot his purple lasers. AND the song in the Sin Gomorrah fight is a very specific reference to the “March of Godzilla” theme song.
I kinda hope cereza doesnt stay dead because it was honestly heartbreaking seeing her get dragged to hell luka could have saved her and put her back in her body
Fun fact: The Chesh from Viola has quiete a lot of graphical similarities to Cheshires ultime form in Origins. But if he is the same. Why didnt he interact with Cereza in B3?
This is what bothers me a lot lol, someone else made a comment that Cereza from CatLD is actually Viola's mom which would explain that aspect but it could also just be a plot hole :(
I'm 2 weeks late but I gotta say, great video. That being said I have something to I'd like add about Queen Butterfly. Now, this could just be my own crackpot theory, but I think, at least her appearance, might be inspired by the Bodhisattva Guanyin. Hear me out. 1st of all, the Chinese chapter is very Journey To The West inspired, with the boss being basically Sun Wukong so it's not out of the question. Secondly, excluding her head, her silluette is very similar to Guanyin. Finally, in the official render, her head arms are posed the same way Guanyin usually poses her arms and hands across various depictions. I also just think this would be kinda interesting since Madama/Queen Butterfly is known for being brutal and merciless while Guanyin is the Goddess of Mercy.
Umm two things to say : a headcannon of headcannon of mine is that when bayo used sin baalzebul she sealed the fate of singularity since her depscription says every opponent of baalzebul meets death And second. Another headcannon of mine its that gomorrah its not his first time killing a bayonetta since he is the only one and has killed manys before so he thinks its easy to backstab her
Gomorrah in this game overall is a reference to Shin Godzilla. He even gets purple back lasers like Shin Godzilla. AND the music in the sin fight is a reference to the Godzilla theme song.
As a New zealander the first person who reached the top of mount everest was named Edmund Hillary since the year 29 May 1953 and hes on the 5 NZDollar as hes from new zealand
Are you doing video about the Homunculi and/or Fairies next? 🎬 The first thing I noticed, is how some Homunculi are named after meteorological terms and the Fairies are nemed after folktale creatures related, or similar to to them.
That implies that the Johnson Forest is big enough that Godzilla can hide in it without having to crouch down

More like it was a way to even more blatantly reference DMC’s Phantom without copyright shenanigans.

I hope they elaborate on that next time or just more in general on witch pacts.
