The way they immediately adopted "going down on us" as a way of saying someone went to hell was one of the few jokes I think the US Ghosts did better. It's so sudden it feels like a spur of the moment addition instead of a pre planned joke by the ghosts.
Contrary to Issac though, Von Steuben played a VITAL role in the Revolutionary War. He was Prussian and a war veteran. Using what he knew, he whipped the troops into shape. He is directly credited with the marked improvement in the fighting forces. He taught them how to fight and be an army rather than a bunch of farmers, merchants, and whatnot. His techniques, tactics, military discipline, and drills influence the American armed forces TO THIS DAY.
The mechanics of going down do seem to parallel the way the system for redemption and the bad place works by the end. That one businessman kept getting tortured in order to make him change for the better, and based on elias' going down it seems like the ghosts have to be ghosts until they either change for the better or go down
I forgot the guy from the "aaron burr got milk" ad was one of the basement zombies, in the pilot episode. How much can he possibly be working? Bring him back. I always confuse sean whalen with evil ed from fright night 80s film.
Ngl I think the diffrence is from the uk version is how chill she was like Alicson was freaking out idk but when she says she can see them she literally shouts and gets it all of her chest
I’ve only watched the first season some of the moments I found extra funny was the Pizza time scene the ghosts wrote in the bathroom while Jay showered, Hetty in Jay’s body eating all the Cheetos are everything else in the kitchen, and when that man had the Tattoo of Alberta on his back that was crazyyy
I watched this series twice, it’s easy to watch you don’t get bored or annoyed, in the British version I hated the husband, he’s useless and dumb. He doesn’t help the story or is as much loving husband as Jay in the American version
Unless the parents can find someone from a higher social status they marry relatives(never between siblings). Keeps the family wealth within the bloodline/clan
Super biased, but American humour just lands better internationally than British humour, which is why this version is so much more relatable and therefore, funnier.
I have noticed that a lot of people prefer the British version. I actually got bored with it after the third episode. I hated the husband, Mike (which is sad because I like the actor Kiell Smith-Bynoe). I also found Alison kind of bland and a little annoying. I watched about half of the fourth episode before giving up. I made it to the end of the second season/series with the American one. I loved Sasappis, we have a similar sarcastic sense of humor. But, in the end, it too got old.
Depends on country I quess. (not to mention individuals). Humor is so much up to personal tastes. I live in Finland, and I would say we tend to prefer British humor here in nothern side of Europe. It's usually more dry, sarcastic, and weird like our own tends to be 😅. Personally I'm more of a fan of British humor as well. I feel like American style of humor is sometimes a bit too obvious and predictable while British throws you some weird curveballs you never expected, which makes it more hilarious. Depends on the show and writing, obviously. I have only seen some clips of Ghosts but it seems really funny. 😂 I would be interested to check out both versions.
"I was known for making men under me happy." Pre-Out Issac had the best double entendres.

I'd rather get s*ck*d off.
I do really enjoy the fact that the “sucked off” term was made by one of the ghosts as an innuendo and not just a funny quirk of the show lol
I forgot how good the episode where Hetty possessed Jay's body is.

There's no way sass doesn't catch the references. Or especially freaky flower. Maybe even pete.
I heard the writers' strike may end soon which means, I hope, the actors' strike will too. I can't wait for Season 3️⃣👻‼️
3:44 “Storyteller, it’s a gift” 😉 Love that
I wanna know how he died so bad tho
Sass might just be my favourite
I love all the sucked off/went down jokes
They never get old haha
The sucked off parts makes me roll on the ground laughing
And with Hetty’s husband being dragged to hell and they all start screaming “HE WENT DOWN ON US!” 😂
sass's "i died in the 90s" bit and "sam come back i wanna tell jay about ghost sex" kills me dude
Some day I want Thor to randomly go oh look a car when it's just him and sass in a room
"you tell others, no one believe you."

That'd be hilarious. 💀
I need this to be a Joke at some point. Then Sass tries to tell everyone know one believes him.
2:07 Isaac's "Well i mean, what is happy?" Here killed me
2:52 Hetty is clueless and Sass knows but is going along with the joke for the fun of it for sure 😭
7:30 poor Jay. First india, now him.
Captsin Isaac is based on a real gay hero of the Revolutionary War, Baron von Steuben. He died of a stroke
That’s a good parallel cause Isaac died in the medbay on the battle field.
@@kpopfan246 died of Dysentery...😂
He was stroking, huh? Men, all bunched together with no women around. I picture a lot of stroking, too.
Shut up! Really? I'm right across the river from Steubenville 😊

the sucked off jokes almost made me a ghost.
Trevor was a step up from Julian. At least he didn't intentionally hurt Sam. Julian outright pushed Alisson off a window.
Just noticed that Issac trips on the stairs at 6:24 because of Nigel
I haven't really watched it other then shorts and this, so can I ask what Nigel's ghost power is?
@voiddragon7549 Nigel doesn't have one as far as we know
He also stuttered saying "Une-sex-xpected
I'm sure it was just him tripping and not him saying sex but yeah @Kimtiny_
@@voiddragon7549 isaac's ghost power is he smells. when someone walks through him it smells like farts.
Unrelated but headcanonning that this show and the good place are in the same universe

The loved the end of the first episode with stephanie in it. Hetty's reaction to that u2 poster🤣🤣🤣
Jay is such a goood character in this version
I’ve never seen the entire show, only bits on TH-cam but I love Rose McIver ever since iZombie. She’s an amazingly versatile actor.

Looking back Why is there so much incest and references to it. 😭 😭 which is so iconic cause Rose was in Flowers in the Attic who married her brother.

Why does this seem a lot less shiny new episodes?
What's the last episode again
I would just have to upload the whole season unedited.
Why doesn't sam just pretend she has multiple personality disorder and the ghosts are different personalities?
No, they did in fact all go home. They got their shit and left.

Oh jesus. I didn't know the Americans had remade this. It's like a bad parody made by a fan of the original with their larping troupe. 😅
It's easy to say that when you are being biased
Eh at least it has some production values I can almost guarantee the British version had half the budget.
