Chagu Chagu Umako Horse Festival in Morioka (チャグチャグ馬コ)

Festival to celebrate the hard working horse with a history of 200 years. The sound of ringing bells takes over Morioka during the Chagu Chagu Umakko Festival in June. Horses clad in brightly colored harnesses and bells parade from Takizawa to Morioka with small children mounted on their backs. Must see while in Morioka 2nd Saturday of June.
