Luigi takes on Mario II in a game of Warhammer with the winner playing Wario. Warhammer is the grandaddy of tabletop war games, born in the 1980s when Games Workshop took a splash of Dungeons & Dragons, a handful of Tolkien, and an unhealthy dose of heavy metal album cover aesthetics and threw them into a cauldron. Thus, a universe was born-well, actually two: Warhammer Fantasy for those who lo...

    I have to say I have seen the wheel turning on many an occasion but being Manx I get an advantage. I always wanted to see the rest of the mechanism restored and working and the last few years it has been good to see the progress made in the restoration and long may it continue it would be wonderful to see the pump house rebuilt and the pumps restored to work, even if the mines were never able to be reopened as a tourist attraction like so many others around the world providing jobs and extra income for the local community the wheel could still pump water from the depths as a fully working attraction.

    I had the turp operation nearly 3 years ago at HRI, i had the spinal anaesthetic, & chose to have it without sedation. I could listern to my radio & speak to all the theatre staff throughout the procedure, later on i had my dinner & i was out of hospital the next day, like others said the catheters removal is the worst part, after 4 weeks i was totally fine all good so far.... Originally i wanted the general anaesthetic, but i was very lucky to see & take the consultant anesthetist recomendations. It certainly made for me a much faster recovery.....

      @@ivonvoid I'm been talking with someone that had the turp. It only last 3 years for him. I myself had the holep procedure. As my doctor talk with me about all the different procedures he has done and now picks the hoLEP. Over all the other procedures he was done in the past. He calls the hoLEP the one and done. Meaning it's got much a high success rate. It will last me my lifetime. He's had to redo many turps during giving the holeps to these past failures of turps patients. Now he only does green light laser or hoLEP. He also sends out patients to other doctors in wanting the resumz procedures. For those younger guys still wanting to father children as a option. I can only tell from my experience from having the hoLEP done. Very little bad side effects from it period. Drinking tons of water during the first 30 days is the worse of it.

      Having issues after a few years would be very disappointing if you looked after your health to avoid such things. • @ivonvoid
      @ivonvoid ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a real concern and yes you will most likely notice a difference. I think the degree depends on how much they remove, where and your body make up. In my case I noticed a difference straight away and as time has gone by it's stayed pretty much the same. Lets say it's at around 40% where 100% is perfect. If I ever needed surgery again I would look at something that would avoid retogade if possible to try and preserve full or whatever function is left. Being able to sleep and pee again was such a relief after years of suffering but then there is this slight downside.

  • @vtrials9577

    Thanks for your honesty in your story. So many of the patent stories seem like it is nothing to do this procedure and fast recovery. I recently decided to have a PAE (Prostrate Artery Embolism) procedure as opposed to the all the procedures done at a urologist office. Most urologists will not even bring up this procedure because they don’t perform it. With my prostrate at 84cc I was a perfect candidate for PAE and even larger then my size is even more effective. The procedure is painless, you don’t have general anesthesia, no catheter and nothing put up your penis. You’re in and out of the office (it’s done by a interventional radiologist) in about 4 hrs total. My recovery had painful urination but that was only about 7 days. Im sorry to hear how much pain and discomfort you’ve had to go through with TURP. I’m now 3 weeks post procedure and while still on my BPH medication (they keep you on it for 2-3 months as a precaution) I can say I can’t remember how many years ago I had pee flow like this. No pain, no stop and start. I’m sure I’ll be fully off my medication (Finasteride) as soon as it’s recommended. Men with prostrates 80 cc and greater should all consider this procedure. Please look up many of the fine TH-cam videos on PAE for complete explanation.

    • @ivonvoid

      Interesting to hear how well PAE has worked for you and soo quickly too. Starving the prostate of blood seems very effective and less painful than TURP. I hope to never need surgery again but if I do...

      Hi I’m now almost 8 months into the PAE post time and happy to report all is as it was when I was 25 years old. Great flow, no urgency. Now being off the Finasteride (which in reading research) have found has very bad possible metabolic impacts on health (search on Pub med). I was on it almost 14 years. Now normal sexual functions have returned (which the Finasteride effected in the way of erectile problems) and everything is normal. For smaller Prostrate’s it might not be as effective but mine was 84cc and that’s a very good size for the procedure.

    • @ivonvoid
      @ivonvoid ปีที่แล้ว

      I am not sure if HoLEP is better or not as I've only had the TURP. However they say that If you'd like to return to your daily routines in the shortest time possible, then HoLEP may be a suitable option. TURP, on the other hand, brings the fewest risks and complications and is often used to treat issues brought on by the other treatment options.

    Good video but it’s a prostate not a prostrate.

      Indeed it is. I hadn't noticed I was pronouncing it incorrectly until a few days after uploading.

    Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm on the "urgent" turp waiting list here in the UK. Catheterised and having terrible pain with bladder spams. Short on info but feel better informed thanks to you.

      I know how painful the whole living with catheters can be. It is something I never want to repeat so I watch my diet and health. I do hope you can hang in there while your waiting for your TURP.

    Thanks for sharing. Why couldn't you drive home yourself after 2 nights of hospital stay?

    • @ivonvoid
      @ivonvoid ปีที่แล้ว

      The nurses instructed me before the operation that I would have to organize a ride home and to not drive. I could have driven home but I think it is good advise as I was very sore and any driving would have been not very safe. I would have caused even more bleeding and pain. Moving the steering wheel hurt later when I tried driving

    I did TURP.. lasted 2 years, now i have to go back in, and my turp was horrendous and painful, a very bad experience for me. Then he wanted to do REZUM on me in the office. I elected out on that! I am now looking at HOLEP. Please do all your research for all procedures. Do not hang your hat on TURP. That is old technology. And check your doctor on what procedures he knows. If it only 1 or 2, rethink your doctor, no matter how nice he is.

      Sorry to hear that more surgery is required. I did a second video explaining my trails after surgery which was quite testing. I think your advice to look at all the options is good. I looked into Urolift 2 among others as well tho it's hard to tell what method is the best. I did talk to as many guys as I could to get their first hand experience to help me decide. th-cam.com/video/L-KvgHerE9Y/w-d-xo.html

    Thanks for being so vulnerable about your process. I had TURP 27 days ago, my bleeding stopped at 21 days but then with two days good, I played golf and moved some firewood and started bleeding again. I wish I had known I should not do that, I should have watched this before I did that. I have really had almost no pain to speak of, a bit of dribbling. I was totally exhausted like you and slept for like a week afterwards. It's just the damn bleeding, it's a small amount of blood but it is kinda alarming. Just trying to take it as easy as I can and hope it goes away.

    • @ivonvoid
      @ivonvoid ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the feedback. The bleeding can be quite frustrating and alarming, but there is nothing much you can do about it other than avoid exerting yourself. I had the dribbling too but eventually that too went away. Hope you can get back to a normal game of golf soon :)

      How did your Turp procedure go? I'm trying to decide what procedure to do. Holep, Turp, Tulsa-pro.. My dad had the Turp procedure. I'm doing research on it. I'd like to hear how you are progressing.

    Why didn’t you do HOLEP ?

    • @ivonvoid
      @ivonvoid ปีที่แล้ว

      HOLEP does look really good so don't limit yourself to TURP. I was referred to a top Urological Surgeon in my state and he reassured me that TURP was the way to go and he had done other methods in the past like Ural-lift but preferred TURP. I asked multiple times about other surgery methods which he said I could look into them if I wanted but he could not guarantee the outcome or how long it would be effective for. I was in such a bad state with catheters, pain and I needed surgery yesterday and was concerned shopping around would delay my surgery by months. None of the doctors seem to want to take action without months of consulting, tests and monitoring, plus there are the waiting lists!. As HOLEP is fairly new I would look into it if I needed more surgery in future years (Here is hoping I don't need more surgery).

    • @serinodiaz4140
      @serinodiaz4140 ปีที่แล้ว

      HOLEP takes a skilled surgeon who has done many operations and knows how to use the laszer and can-do it very with total control.

    • @ivonvoid
      @ivonvoid ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, the skill of the surgeon is soo important not matter the type of operation

    Did you have any ED troubles post op? In other words, were you able to have sex again, after your surgery?

    • @ivonvoid
      @ivonvoid ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry about the slow response. There is a difference and there this stinging pain for the first 3 months that slowly gets better. With each passing months things are getting back to normal. 5 months out I would say 80% Expect a long recovery period and some changes but you will be able to still enjoy life given enough time to heal up. Hope this helps
